1:40 Amazing. Video date is 8/6/1997 which according to my Calander was a Wednesday night and Granite Run Mall is packed. Went from that to a closing ghost around 15 years later Man I miss the malls back then and I wasn't even old enough to really experience the malls during the golden era of the early 80s
Yeah, I used to love playing and watching other people play the Tekken, Mortal Kombat, and Street Fighter games they always had in the mini arcade sections they had in the lobbies. I especially played Tekken 3 a lot, lol. Great times!
Thanks for uploading! 1997 is a year I get nostalgic for a lot. Especially August of 1997 when my parents and I took a family vacation to Maine. Some of the movies we saw around that time in late Summer/early Fall of '97 are still some of my favorites, too, like Conspiracy Theory, Air Force One, The Peacemaker, Mimic, The Edge, In & Out, and The Game. We also saw Wishmaster, and I loved seeing the poster for it in the theater here! I really miss the old AMC theaters at the mall that my parents and I used to go to all the time in the 90s. Sadly, it was torn down in 2004, and they built another AMC on the other side of the mall. It hasn't been the same since. I also miss seeing Ruby Tuesday restaurants in malls and I loved seeing Boscov's, as well! Thanks again for this footage. It looks like you guys had a lot of fun during this time!
I saw all of these films in the theater. Including Scream 2, Con Air, and Face Off and the Fifth Element. And so many more. Plus Buffy the Vampire Slayer started... What a great year!!
@@LukeDodge916 I saw all of those, too. I especially have great memories of seeing Con Air, Face/Off, and Fifth Element in the theater with my parents.
Crazy seeing the Granite Run mall so alive! Didn't go up to that mall too often. Springfield Mall was the mall i most frequented. The Marple 10 was the theater i went to the most.
I remember 97. Me and my mom moved to Las Vegas. I saw Boogie Nights with Marky Mark. And until then, I only knew him as a rapper. My word was Heather Graham hot in that movie.❤
I am making a video about forgotten 90s movies, and I needed a clip of people going to the theater in the 90s...that search brought me to this video. Today's date is August 6, 2024. Weird!
A little known book retaling company using the new internet had its ipo in May 1997, trading then at a split adjusted price of 9 cents a share, today a share goes for $186.00 representing a 211,000% return on invested capital thru 2024. Amazon is today a juggernaut of biblical proportions.
Please take me back to 1997. I would go back in a heartbeat.
me too.
I was 5 back in the summer of 97. And my main movies at the time was HERCULES and GEORGE OF THE JUNGLE. And maybe A SIMPLE WISH
So would I. That was definitely one of the best years of my life! I'd give anything to go back to the years 1997-2000.
@pbscraze Unfortunately all those were better than Batman and Robin
Live life bro

I miss 90's movie theaters...especially the video games
Same here man
It’s depressing to know they were all phased out for new bar areas 💀

always wondered what it was like in the movie theater back then so thank you!
Thanks, I have a few other 90's movie theater videos on here as well.
1993 - 1997 were the best years for me personally. These videos make me so grateful that I lived in that time. It really was heaven in retrospect...

@8:04, that Wishmaster banner is priceless! I have that same Halloween II VHS at the end.

Is that West Chester you’re driving through at the end? Awesome videos, thank you for sharing!
It is! I have another video on here called ‘Granite Run Mall & West Chester PA 1997’ that has a lot of shots of us walking around WC at night in 97.
Wow and I work at an AMC movie theater that still looks the same way it did when it first opened in 1995
Hey Guys Did You See Hercules (Disney Movie) at AMC Theaters Back in 1997?
Life was more fun back then.
Thank you so much for these videos they are a godsend so much nostalgia if only they were a hour long. Do you have anything from the 80s and 70s
Alicia Silverstone in the 90s. If you know, you know! 😂
and i know lol.
@@mistah_whiskahs 😂😂
She was so hot and pretty, my God, so pretty.
The image of the 90s that the internet likes to paint is really nothing like how it really was. It didn't look like a new jack swing music video.

The excess baggage cutout is 🔥🧳
agreed. I wish I had got more shots of it.
"Can't call Wolf, because he's not home." 😳
Seinfeld was still airing 😄 🤣 😂
Out of curiosity, what's the movie played on TV at the beginning of the video?
It’s an episode of Amazing Stories I think.
@@mistah_whiskahs One of the middle-tier anthology shows, but memorable all the same
What's Odie up to these days?
He's married with kids.
George of the jungle is my favorite movie
Best disney movie
Please stop telling lies
I hear the movie titanic going to sink the boat at box office dude

I was born about a week later on the 14th of august, fun useless fact
I was born August 16 but 1993🖤

I was born a month later, September 11
As a spawn fan I can confirm …….movie sucks lol
It does not suck 😭
Complete with CGI that the SyFy channel would laugh at
@@Zj2030spawn was a good film
