i think sodium-ion batteries are promising, but they have significant drawbacks such as low energy density, limited life cycle, low ionic conductivity. Beside those, graphite, which is most common and cheapest electrode material in lithium ion batteries, performs poorly in sodium ion batteries. So the scientists should find new electrode material and finding new one can be way expensive. Therefore, in the near future i stead of lithium we can see potassium ion batteries which is as much cheap as sodium, as safe as solid state batteries and open to developments
Do you think sodium-ion batteries will surpass lithium-ion?
If CATL chief Scientist prediction of " By 2030 ... Solid State Batteries will be in MOST EV." . That is significant .
Sodium Ion is best for household as a battery storage.

Good developments.
Sodium ion condensed battery breakthrough will be soon
I only care about battery tech for e-skate board.
then you're very short sighted.
