Your daughter is mature enough and eating healthy at this age. Crazy
no choice
@@IceFish. healthy choice
its probably a combination of her not really having a choice and being accustomed to only eating healthier foods. If she grows up eating seeds and garbanzo beans she's not just going to suddenly demand chicken nuggets and candy... that would be foreign to her.
what is awesome about children is that if you feed your children whole healthy foods, and no meat from the time they are old enough to eat food, you teach them how to eat well. Its not that she has no choice, but what she has been accustomed to. So, even if she is faced with food that is not made at home, or by choice of her mother, she is more likely to make those same choices, because that is what is familiar.
Kids eat what you teach them to eat
I’d sprinkle on some nutritional yeast and a little ground flaxseed on the pasta for some additional B vitamins + omega 3s. Which is important in any diet. :) (I am personally Vegan for ethical reasons, but, eating plant based really is so simple when it comes to being zero waste I find). The daughter is so precious! I love also how simple you kept everything for her!
Whiskur
I take vitamins and Omega 3s in a pill form every morning, it’s easier for me 🤔
Whiskur at least you are taking those vitamins that you need cause you are vegan but some people don’t take these, and it’s really dangerous to have vitamin b12 deficiency and especially for children cause they are growing up
Is there any good pasta recipes that are vegan ? I like to try something new
@@theroadtocosplayandcomicco5840 There are tons! Do a search for "vegan pasta dishes" and look for flavors you like. I wish I could give you a more specific answer but it's hard to do without knowing more.
@@lujainalkhatib6156 i take b12 and D
I feel like a lot of people are all bent out of shape about there not being a lot of seasoning but a lot of kids prefer more bland foods. Also don't you think her mom would know her food tastes best?
She also liked it too.
White people don't know a damn thing about seasoning their food tho xD come to india , you'll see a world of flavors.
@@consumeandspread1722 while that's kinda not fair of us to say that,i kinda agree ;)
@@consumeandspread1722 Maybe white Americans and Brits, there's a whole world of flavours in Europe.
@@consumeandspread1722 As a white person, I can agree I knew nothing about how to season my food until I met my husband, who was born and grew up in South Asia. Boy introduced me to a world of flavors. lol
I remember her (when she was pregnant)! The father is that BuzzFeed guy with da bootay. What a cutie their daughter is! Can't believe she's gotten this big already.
TheCarlScharnberg what is “da bootay”? I’m not a native speaker
@@sali9448 "the butt"
I think you're talking about Ifye.
I was so happy to see her again ❤️
@@sali9448 Oh, my god. The sincerity and innocence of this question made me laugh so hard - in the best, most positive way. That's such a pure question. Eesha is correct, it's just "slang" for "the butt(ocks)." :)
omg wasn't she pregnant in the couples dress up each other video (back when Saf was in Buzzfeed)?! How time flies
Yeah she was! Knew I recognized her!
I KNEW SHE LOOKED FAMILIAR THANK YOU FOR REMINDING ME
omg link please someone 😭

I love how she has her taste food before it’s in her lunch. And every day she finished her lunch.
Don’t forget to remove that clear plastic “window” from the pasta box before recycling the cardboard part!
I've just started the video but my god, Naomi is such an angel with blessed taste buds !
One thing I noticed is that the food was relatively bland in comparison to what we make.
Chickpeas could have been sauteed or baked, covered in cumin, coriander, turmeric, paprika and salt. Carrots could have been steamed and seasoned to add variation. Rice could be turned into easy fried rice, utilising carrots and chickpeas among other veggies.
satoshiketchump but don’t forget, that you don’t know what her daughter likes. Maybe she likes it better this way. And also as a parent you don’t always have a lot of time. But I get your point
In nursing school we learn it’s better to give toddlers bland food. Their taste buds are much more sensitive. And they are more inclined to like blander food.
@@Hbh250 well that's what they have you believe. Toddlers are smarter and much more capable than you think. We started eating homemade food just like everyone else at 2 years of age, the only difference being the omission of chilly but the food would in no way be bland. The sooner you introduce your kids to a varied diet, the better. I grew up eating spicy food and love it, whereas my over pampered sister wasn't introduced to chilli till very late her development, so she is the only one who hates spice in my household. However our youngest sister is 10 but absolutely loves spicy food, and we're talking about proper Nepalese level of spice, on par with adults, since she was transitioned to regular cooked food with mild heat rather quickly.
satoshiketchump well like, she is vegan l lol hhehahaa
And Um like....appearently she said that she did season the chickpeas and stuff l lol hehaaa
That little hand stealing that kiwi at 10:43 😂
Lewis 123 I can relate
I love how healthy Naomi eats at such a young age. Kudos to you, you're doing an amazing job!
This is so inspiring. I'd like to try it jn the Philippines. But there aren't too much stores that sell in bulk
I recommend following @astigvegan on Instagram. She is a low waste vegan instagram and RUclipsr based in the Philippines
just go to the farmers/traditional market
Bringing a handy dandy tote bag, bayong, basket can be a great start in reducing plastic use, also for the wet food like meat and fish a nice tupperwear can help. Or as our nanays do it, yung lalagyan ng ice cream for that tilapia! Hahaha. Saying no to plastic to the vendors is easy and pulling out your own basket can help and actually impress the vendors themselves.
PS: theres a cool briefcase that you can buy in daiso thats use to contain eggs. Its pretty cool
You sound like one of those upper middle class Pinoys who have never set foot inside a traditional wet market. You do realize that going waste free is very easy to achieve here if you just bring in your own containers right? But of course if you only go to supermarkets then yes, it's no going to be possible.
Kristen Dioko You're right. But from where I live, we do have days in a week where plastics are banned.
Omg I remember the video where you were pregnant. Cant believe your daughter is already 3 years old! She is so cute!
Such a happy child, no complaints about the healthy food. Most kids these days don't eat greens and need lots of French fries and sugary stuff!
No child "NEEDS" French Fries and sugary stuff. They learn to eat this crap because it is fed to them.
Is Aurora at all related Auri? They kind of look alike and their voices sound similar.
Sophia Villarreyna IKR! They are very similar
you’re truly an amazing and powerful mother. you’re raising a smart and kind and open minded little one. you rule lady
I really love how involved Naomi was in this process! The lunches look great but some more greens would be a great addition, especially since Naomi seems to have mature tastebuds. Easy ways to do this would be to add fresh chopped up coriander, parsley or mint to your rice/chickpea/pasta mix. If you have more time could sauté some broccoli in garlic and/or soy sauce, green beans with lemon and garlic, roasted kale chips, pasta with homemade pesto, peas and mint, zucchini noodles.
Other ideas could be hummus, avocado dip, coleslaw
Loved this video! Great content
I loved so much that she did this with just a few simple staples and pieces of fruit & veg that I forgot all about the zero waste.
Great mom, lucky little girl!
Aww omg you both are really cute! So inspiring and useful video, my grandmother is a teacher of ambiental education and she since I was a child, she taught me that the number of things that we can create is unlimited. You're an amazingly motivational mother who works hard to teach your daughter beautiful things.
10:03 what did you like about it?
Naomi: chicken peas
😍💗❤️
I’m happy you are teaching her at such a young age! This video is awesome.
Your daughter is so cute and I adore your relationship with her! It’s so adorable how she wants to help her mommy with preparing her food and how eager she is to help with the groceries (and try them- aka the bread thing made me giggle). So sad I can’t finish watching this for now but I added it to my save later 😭😭😭
Your daughter is the cutest! I'm so glad she's so young and eating so healthy!
I can't believe how long your hair has gotten the last time I saw you on this channel you were pregnant this is amazing!!!!! I can't believe she's already three!!!!
$34 for rice, chickpeas, bread and like 4 produce items? Dang even at the organic market I feel like it should be less than half that much :/
Angelica Bianca i mean that cost A LOT for me i could get all that in $10 or less
Yeah i adjusted it to indian rupees and back, selected stuff on the higher price side and yet its like 11$ (here apples, pasta and kiwi are costlier)
I could get all that for like $15 especially if its from bulk bins.
I miss this couple!! They were in older buzzfeed videos, very happy they’re doing well! Their family is so cute
This was very cute, well put together and inspiring, even for a single working girl trying to eat better.
They're so cute!💕
Loved seeing school lunch ideas that are also nut free! So many videos suggest nut butter and it’s not possible at many schools!
Your daughter is so lovely
We need more videos with these two! 😍
She's so sweet.
She’s super cute! Love your daughter!
That little girl is adorable!
I like how you seem super tired at Monday but it gets waaay better once you got used to it!
Your baby is adorable ❤️ loved this challenge
Aurora, a suggestion is buying a few reusable silicone sandwich bags and I just recently saw sunflower seed butter since schools don't allow nut butters.
Do you have a Winco near you? They have pasta in their bulk section.
They have the cutest relationship 🥺
When she blew the orange string 😂 me too
Wow . I stan people like you all
I need that lunch tray/box for MYSELF
The Sprouts sign is still pretty visible... Anyway, I love this! So so helpful. I’ve tried the chickpea pasta from Barilla, it’s delicious and very filling.
She's so cute, I'm melting rn!!! 💞
This is awesome she’s an amazing mom
How beautiful is this baby! My mom raised me to eat very healthy, lots of fruits and vegetables! I believe that's why it's easier to eat them now that I am older. Great job Mama! God bless you guys, Jesus loves you. :)
I love the dynamic between you and your daughter. :)
this vid was so wholesome 🥺
This is so CUTE!!!!! Im going to need her to make a viedo on getting kids to eat veggies! Add some roasted bell peppers to your pasta and you could even add Humus to your pasta 🤤
aww your daughter is adorable!!
That little girl is so adorable. She is definitely her mom’s mini me!
Are you your mom's mini me?
Thank you for your efforts 💜
Great video but they don't all seem to watch each others' videos. The pasta box is not recyclable as it is a mixed material. It had plastic in the window.
Aurora did make a good point about shopping. You can't find as many options in the bulk section and there is an overwhelming amount of plastic packaged foods in grocery stores.
you can tear the window out then recycle the paper! that’s what I do anyway
My city recycles mixed materials, it depends where you are. It rips out easy anyway, the window of that brand pasta is recyclable plastic.
But couldn't you just remove the plastic?
You did so good! The bulk store I normally use has stopped allowing reusable containers untill the coronavirus stops being an issue. I completely understand but it's still disappointing to not be able to restock without getting plastic.
Such an awesome video!!
Loved loved loved this video! Only improvement is to remove or change that cricket noise. Thanks for your hard work!
they are the cutest little family
Your daughter is one lucky girl!
Your daughter is gorgeous!!
Naomi is such an angel ❤️ NEED more of her
I love this. 💞💞
Woah I’m halfway through the video before noticing there’s hardly any comments
Her voice is so sweet =D
Nice work! Great parenting going on here.
It would also be possible to make a tomatoe sauce or have something else on top of rice or pasta, or a seasoned salad. Maybe not for her daughter but in general as inspiration so that it's not too boring🙈
Great vid, well done you two! :)
Hey these guys are cuteeeee!!
I'm gonna soak these overnight...
WOO HOO my pasta is ready! 🤣🤣🤣 I love her energy lol
So cute! ☺️
IS SHE DRINKING MATE ON THURSDAY!!?? Omg that’s our main drink in my country😂❤️
Which country?
Senseless Potato argentina 🇦🇷 ♥️
Emily M yesss🤩🤩
Yaaaaas! I thought the same thing!! Nice MATE yeaaaah
Venía a comentar lo mismo! Vi ese matecito y me enorgullecí jaja
I love this.
That chickpea spread is good with pickels
Moms are incredible
Not every mom.
Actually her having a child is the most environmentally damaging thing you can do. I can burn a giant mountain of tires and be greener than her.
So no they are not incredible, they are selfish.
my fave thing ab this video is how a bunch of people are super excited to see her again lmao
Put some baking soda on the chick beans while soaking in water so the skin would peel off easily.. we do that when we make sweeten chick beans..
Same!
Your daughter has more variety in her lunches than me haha
I pack healthy lunches but only 1 main item no sides and I usually eat the same thing for the whole week. Lol
Your daughter is adorable.
Great job, Aurora! Yummy food choices and I love the zero waste. Especially now with recycling dialed back like so many businesses, I want to reduce the amount of plastics I get. Since I'm not doing my own shopping now it's a bit harder so I'm certain to reuse everything. I still have bags of recycling stuffed in my hall closet. Naomi is so beautiful, and wow she's three already?! I still picture you in Buzzfeed videos pregnant or just having had her. Not to poke a sore point, but where's Ify? Does he not help?
Well shes not zero waste. She had a baby, thats the top worst thing you can ever do for the environment. No matter what she does she will never be more green than someone who doesn't have kids no matter how wasteful they are.
Her daughter 😍goshh
Hey! So I'm new to zero waste (I was low waste for a few years ) and I was wondering with canned foods, do the cans actually get recycled? Or is it still really hard on the envroment. I live in canada and theres not a lot of farmers market in the winters so some of the less common foods required for plant base food, I buy in cans.
It depends on your city’s recycling program, you can look it up in the city’s website probably! Most places usually do recycle them
Generally yes so long as there's no food or labels or other mixed materials contaminating it.
When ur spices run out u should save the bottles and fill them up in a bulk section, then they already have labels and u rnt buying anything else
Was she a long time member of Buzzfeed? Feels like I remmeber when she was pregnant.
twothirdstrio yes!! I thought so too
IDK if she was an employee, but she did appear in a lot of videos
the Goodful channel is part of BuzzFeed 👌😁
I feel like I remember her from past videos on BuzzFeed but I'm almost certain she had shorter hair
twothirdstrio I remember that video too.
Your vids are awesome!
I really wanted a milkshake so I now have a plastic cup. (I’m challenging myself to keep my drinks low waste) gonna reuse it as a utensil strainer since I live in a dorm
She’s here looking all sweet and loving with her daughter while iffy is finding a girl. 😪
Who?
They are both so cute I cant stand it.
oh my god 😭 her little yay at the farmer's market
Great job
Random, but you didnt say. How did you precut your apples, and them not brown. I know you can do the lemon trick. But wasn't sure if you did something else?
that last thing about making habit for her daughter was like YAASSSSSSS
your daughter is adorable and sweet
Wait what, I’m just finding out now that most of our recyclables end up in the landfill anyway. Okay time to change things up. Thank you for the info.
this is awesome... but ngl my heart stopped when she took a bite out of the loaf of bread🥖
Watching these videos makes me realize how much I eat compared to everyone else
AMAZING
9:23 was that mate? ❤
Yes plant-based :)
This woman has the most adorable voice.
Barilla pasta always has a little plastic window in it. I have made a habit of ripping it out and putting the paper and plastic recycling into different bins. I really hate it that they have this plastic part in the paper box.
Same 👍 from Indonesia 🇮🇩
What do you have for dinner ?
