I love how realistic this series is, with all these crazy expensive youtube builds out there, this is super refreshing! Keep it up and good luck for future finds! 👍
Yeah I have a 1999 Integra LS. Just finished fixing up a bit more to give to my 15 year old as his first car. He is a sophomore in HS and he is in his 2nd year of autoshop. Perfect car for him. Added new alternator, distributor, window motors, antenna, fuel pump, inner and outer tie rods and more. His first project will be to replace the thermostat and radiator at school🤙🤙
Doing a rebuild series in my channel. Not a car channel but I have a Playlist to post videos of the progress if yall want to follow and keep up to date🤙
Btw, your dent removal turned out awesome! That driver fender turned out really nice. Yes the oem lines still aren't there, but for your first time, I'd say you saved that fender. Now it still looks damaged but not in an unsaveable eyesore way. Very much presentable and paint/body work could go the rest of the way. I would have said that fender was too far gone myself. Sweet!
The other thing is called a Dolly. You put it on the back side of a panel and hit it from the otherwise with the hammer. Its kind of like a contoured handheld anvil. Hammering will stretch the metal. Afterward you use the pointed end of the hammer to put little dings into the metal to shrink it back in. BTW you did really good for your first time not knowing what to do.
One mistake you made early on, in case you didn't find a hood, you should have marked where the hood hinges rested on the original hood to make reinstalling it and aligning the gaps again a breeze. That can be applied to any build where the hood needs removed for something, always mark the alignment before removal.
My local pickapart shut down during COVID, so this series brings back fun memories of lugging a toolkit around a yard and finding surprises around every corner. That fender turned out better than I would have ever expected based on how it started out!
Tools I like? The ones at the pawn shop. Find some you can mess up then take them to Lowe's/Home Depot and use their lifetime warranty. Works for the hand tools real well.
Awesome video you are truly a talented individual. Keep up with your epic vibe attitude it's very contagious in a good way. Anyways stay safe out there and have a blessed day. Aloha from Kansas
Milwaukee packout ratchet set is fire. I like how they squared out their socket so you can use a wrench if the whole ratchet dont fit in the space you have.
Awesome job on the second fender, and massive difference on that first one, god damn. 👌 You should watch a video on how to properly use the tools and other dent removal techniques then practice on the old dented hood you took off. Film that too of course. This series is dope.
I really like the Pittsburgh 225 piece mechanics tool set from Harbor Freight. Keep it in my truck and its saved me in so many diff situations time and time again. As long as you open it from the right side, I have no complaints and the ratchets/tools are nice.
Love this series for so many reasons. It's calm and peaceful. I love Hondas. You're so knowledgeable. That's little bit of body work you did was great 👍 excited to see the next one.
I’m loving the series so far, and can’t wait to see the finished product. I have seen other ways to remove the dents, for example, pouring boiling hot water onto the metal so that you can push it back into place
I love how not only this series is so realistic but how honest you are about fixing your cars. You saying I don't know how this works but lets try is how I know I am so this is so wholesome
I love what you do. Someday when I am retired fixing up cars will be my hobby. Right now full time work, family and taking care of a family business is just too much.
I owned a 1999 Integra GSR; bought it brand new. Had til 2008; got it stolen unfortunately and found it all torn apart. Was a fun car to drive and own. Brings back memories! Thanks for that.
Hey man binge watched your entire series to date while working. It’s been so nice and chill. Can’t wait for more! Defs learning some things as well! Really enjoyed seeing you get into some basic panel beating and learning something new. The fender came out looking heaps better!
as a ej6 owner, i absolutely cannot wait for the paint job on this project ! i’m so excited to see how the accord pieces look overall as i’m wanting to get some myself‼️
You are definitely inspiring me to work on my car myself.. i bought the same exact car about a year ago and been saving to have it fixed and looking nice n honestly looking at your videos its making me wanna do it myself.. thank you
You can get a small metal one with a lid and latches for super cheap on marketplace. You can probably find one in the back of some of the cars in the yard too!
Love watching your videos make my day watching u hit the junkyard when i can’t even go someday js motivates me to go look for parts for my car keep up the great work.
Hey man, you can cut a cardboard sheet to the size of the toolbox interior, and leave it there when you close it, so it presses the tools in their place, that way they won't get out of place when you open
Hey man - leaving another comment for you here; this was an awesome episode. Our family waits until Sunday morning to watch these. Business owner, firefighter and counsellor here - you're right - working on cars is great stress relief!
I've done collision repair on and off for about 20 years. Your driver's fender turned out a lot better than I thought it would. And no collision tech can get a panel 100% straight with just a hammer and dolly, there's always some minor fill work to smooth everything out
what i recommend is keeping most of your tools and getting a tool organizer for a regular 5 gallon bucket. It will give you something to haul parts in as well as more room for tools you may add to your kit in the future!
Hey man, absolutely loving this series so far. Keen to see you get more bodywork done and finally move onto painting. That's where Im currently at with my ek hatch so its great seeing one of my favorite content creators do the same. Keep it up!
Watching you build this civic and fox it up like this is inspiring. If i had another car to drive I'd do something like this woth my dodge caliber. Its base model but i love it so much. It needs work and its got its issues but i feel like it would be worth while to make it nicer.
I recommend the husky mechanic tool set. it comes with everything you need and the tools they give you are pretty durable and reliable. though they are not industry standard by any means, they are well worth the price👍
Those fenders came out really great. I too gave it a try banging out some dents on my EF fender. I used a hammer and a flat head screwdriver to form some sharper lines on my fender. Legos are fun!!! My girlfriend had never built a set either and I got her a small set she had a blast building her first too.
ALWAYS A GREAT DAY WHEN THIS SERIES DROPS!!! I think its cause i can relate to it so much, errbody dont have money like TJ, thrtl and all the other channels. VERY underrated series!
For tools I’ve always really liked gear wrench. I know some mechanics that prefer them. I have matco and some snap on but for cheaper stuff gear wrench holds pretty strong and is really good for the price.
If anything find a sorting box from a hardware store that's easier to transport and sort. Usually you can find something nice at the $30-50 range from Harbor Freight or Menards. If you want to spend a bit more you could always get the bigger modular ones with wheels for $70-90 range. I'd recommend getting the same brand across the board because they usually have compatible storage trays and stuff so you can customize them however you like!
Pittsburg sets are amazing BUT since you already have tools that work for you. I would just get some kind of box that you could organize and expand your existing set. Maybe something with wheels? Milwaukee pack out or something like that.
genuinely get so happy when he uploads this series. i used to have an 98 si and used this series to keep my me motivated but i sold it. videos still fire
You really make such great and relatable content. Dudes like AdamLZ and Jimmy Oakes are great and all but it's super hard to relate to their content. Keep killing it homie!
Kool video I replaced my sons Cabolt hood about a week ago by myself I think I did good. Its kool you have some kool junk yards we lack that down here in the RGV area. Its kool that your starting the 2nd channel I'll be looking out for it. Never be afraid in trying new things like body work what's the worst thing that might happen you learn & fix it. I kept my sons hood to practice painting with Rust oleum paint. Bueno sir be standing for the next video .
Right on! Nice job on the dents. As a DIY myself, you are giving me some hope. I have a 2000 Civic EX I'm working on. Anyway, it's good looking out. Thanks for the video
Hey there you are! Welcome to EP 12. This is such a fun series to watch!

I love how realistic this series is, with all these crazy expensive youtube builds out there, this is super refreshing! Keep it up and good luck for future finds! 👍
this is the reason why this series is my favorite out of any youtube car build. because im gonna be doing something like this pretty soon.
Yeah I have a 1999 Integra LS. Just finished fixing up a bit more to give to my 15 year old as his first car. He is a sophomore in HS and he is in his 2nd year of autoshop. Perfect car for him. Yes definitely a bandaid repair but now it looks less junky 😂
I cringed really really hard when he started using the balpeen hammer on the dolly itself
@@cogiarfacts😂

This my favorite series on yt keep up the hard work, it’s super relatable and just naturally entertaining! You’ll reach that 100k soon!
Harbor freight tool kit the $200 dollar one has everything you’ll ever need and the case is amazing!
Can you link it please?
If you can hold out til Black Friday, Home Depot/Lowes usually has a 250+ piece tool kit for $100. I see it every year.
It's a Husky Tool Box Kit*

DIY dent repairs on the fenders look great!

Ngl the Honda Accord being sent to the junk broke my heart a little, I woulda bought that up quick 😢
Fr. That accord was way too nice
same, what a shame

Yes doing some sanding work and putty work will easily bring those body parts back to life ❤
I’m loving the series so far, and can’t wait to see the finished product. I have seen other ways to remove the dents, for example, pouring boiling hot water onto the metal so that you can push it back into place
Dude finally!!!! Been waiting! Love your channel homie 💥💥
I love how not only this series is so realistic but how honest you are about fixing your cars. You saying I don't know how this works but lets try is how I know I am so this is so wholesome
The small curved piece is used on the backside when you use the hammer. It’s a guild to form the curve.
I love what you do. Someday when I am retired fixing up cars will be my hobby. Right now full time work, family and taking care of a family business is just too much.
Love these simple builds and junkyard finds🎉
Hell ya...great job on the bodywork
