This song is one of the masterpieces composed by Mr. Blackmore.
YES, you can say that again, You are SO right, about that comment.
Who can be as majestic as Ritchie Blackmore in his prime. He may not be a pioneer like Hendrix but he's the only one that compares.
He is just as much a pioneer. He invented neoclassical shreds
And Tony Iommi
Stevie Ray Vaughan.
@@johnfoster5295 you can call Hendrix Blackmore Iommi Van Halen pioneers not SRV he was the the best blues player ever but not pioneer
@@giannisvar4414 The person said Blackmore is the only one who compares to Hendrix. I was pointing out Stevie Ray compares quite favorably to Hendrix.
Deep Purple Drummer Ian Paice went bonkers [nutz] on this one! He said many yrs. ago in an interview he used to drum away during concerts, ignoring his band mates, and doing his own thing quite happily. He later realized playing music is a we not me proposition. He cut down on drum soloing//filling too much during the songs, and only did them when it was appropriate to the music or, during his alloted for a drum solo. It made him a better drummer focusing on his job both as a time keeper and collaborating band mate. Cheers!
Girls, this is one of the original hard rock bands. All the players were (are) masters of their craft. There was nobody who could match their energy in concert due to their drummer, Ian Paice, and their guitarist, Ritchie Blackmore, better known as The Master.
it's really great to see two girls enjoying all this wonderful music, keep it up! greetings from Argentina.
Ian Paice, one of the SICKEST drummers on this planet. Next to John Bonham, my absolute favorite.
And Neil Peart right?
David Coverdale & Glenn Hughes singing= perfection. Glenn is the bassist and hits those high notes
How about " Space Truckin" from
Deep Purple girls?
Great Band , Great reaction ladies...YEEEEE!!!🌹🌹
Hey guys Enjoying your videos? LOL Great reaction Good to see you found BURN, probably the 2nd greatest song in rock history, next to Stairway/ That's Jon Lord on keys, the master and founder of the act. RIP 1941-2012
Please react to the 11 years old Yoyoka's drum cover of Burn: ruclips.net/video/uhzX9QbH3js/видео.html
You can also see Ian Paice's reaction to it: ruclips.net/video/0RyJKiollcA/видео.html
I think this was recorded Live at Kilburn Gaumont Theatre (London), that my friend went to. He's a great fan of Ritchie Blackmore and said it was the best performance he ever saw!!
Yes, that´s right, it was recorded at Kilburn and the whole show broadcasted on radio.
Glenn Hughes....one of the highest Screams in the Metal Genre....and he STILL reaches the High Notes today !
Compared to your Child In Time reaction, there are 2 changes. Ian Gillan (vocals) and Roger Glover (bass) are replaced by David Coverdale (vocals) and Glenn Hughes (bass and vocals).
And after this, Blackmore left the band to start Rainbow (with Dio and Glover).
Coverdale later started Whitesnake, who had some smash hits in the late 80s. Try "Still of the Night".
The Child In Time era, the classic Mk2 line up, returned in 83/84 with a glorious song Perfect Strangers.
They changed and left and reunited and parted and split and reformed in those days. Rock history is as hard as a University Program if u really dig deep.
Keep it rocking, ladies!!
Ritchie Blackmore the most underrated guitarist of all time.
His work with Dio in the band Rainbow is a musical masterpiece.
I disagree, Ritchie Blackmore has been very respected as a fabulous guitarist for many years.
The most underrated guitarist of all time imo is Michael Schenker
So, you want Deep Purple? By the way, I usually recommend people listen to a song's studio version first. Nothing wrong with doing the same for Deep Purple, but I think their live shows are unbeatable. If you know the studio version of the song, you'll be loving that they stick to it for the most part, but they also take time to just show off and JAM. Here are a couple of songs that I know you'll like: "Highway Star" and "Space Truckin'". Have fun and that was a great reaction as always! Your enthusiasm is contagious!
Go for Made In Japan and Made In Europe, two of the best live albums ever produced.
Blackmore face'just another day in office'😁😂
Perfect description / comment.
Love your reactions to anything but when you react to one of my favourite songs of all time it is awesome ! Could only be better if it was a reaction to 'Orgone Accumulator' by Hawkwind but as that will not happen I am left with Burn! When Ian Gillan and Roger Glover left the band it seemed like Purple would be over but they cam back with David Coverdale and Glenn Hughes and the amazing Burn album topped with this title song and it seemed their future was secure (This would prove not to be the case time and again in the future ;-) ) Anyway thanks so much for this and glad you enjoyed one of the all time rock classics .
You've just listened to one of the greatest band ever. Believe an old man.
Agree. Another old dude.
QFT
As great as he is great, a magician thought all that. But, you all @ me but Steve Howe is is the Wizard Master.
Try "Mistreated" from the 1974 California Jam 😎
Britain produced some of the best rock bands on the planet ' if not the best!!!!
The best full stop.
5 virtuosos....🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great reaction. One of my favourite Deep Purple songs. You have made my day, thank you.
Hi Girls, because I am a Musician that played Keyboards and I'm a bit older this is a great song but my favorite is "Highway Star"
Ok, so two kids are blown away by Richie Blackmore and Deep Purple's music from 40 years ago. This says it all about music today.
The six string wizardry of of Ritchie blackmore
Another great song by Deep Purple! David Coverdale (singer) went on to form Whitesnake. As well, he and Jimmy Page hooked up to record together in the early 90's and put out some good music. His vocal range has been compared to Robert Plant but it is a tad bit lower, especially in his Whitesnake days. Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin during the 70's knew how to rock it out! I could easily see how much the two of you enjoyed this song. Nothing bad about it at all! They don't make rock and roll like this anymore. Please have your dad do some research on Whitesnake. I know you will really like their music. Still Of The Night is one of my favorite songs by them. By the way, I love your shirts! Thank you for another fantastic reaction....you go girls! Love & Blessings! 👍💗🙌
If you like the Keyboard React to The Doors " Riders in The Storm".....all time 1960s Classic sound. One of all time great bands and totally utterly unique sound.
Yep, Glenn...the voice and still doing it with Dead Daisies, check out Holy Ground. The drumming is awesome on this....take a look at Yoyoka’s drum cover...it is fantastic, and Paice agrees.
Girls.
If you enjoyed Coverdale's voice, I highly recommend checking out the band called Whitesnake.
Some of his songs that I recommend:
Here I going again
Is this love
Fool for your loving
I think everyone was actually enjoying Glen Hughes voice in this clip.
Brilliant haven’t heard this for ages also never got to see them on stage so now all these years later it’s great to see the performance and that guitar riff was one the neighbors got when my mum was at work great song great reaction and two great Rock sisters Dana’s Faith we salute you
Hey girls you should check out Yoyoka a 11 year old girl drum to this track, it's great!
Agreed, Then follow that up with Ian Paice's reaction to Yoyoka playing his song. He was greatly impressed and totally blown away with her being only 11 yrs old.
@@raymondrodriguez9389 👍
Give it up for Ian Paice, one of the top five greatest drummers in Rock!!
Wow they love blackmore
Ladies Welcome to a Place of Masters.
Music from an era when music was music.. There will only be one Deep Purple
One of the Greatest Bands of all time.
Great job with the Deep Purple reaction !! Can’t decide which l like better, Juliette’s Sgt. Pepper shirt or Mia’s butterfly jammies !! 🤔 ❤️
The mixture of classical and heavy rock is what makes Deep Purple awesome. And Jon Lord on the keyboard *chefs kiss* perfect!
RICHIE BLACKMORE FOREVER!!!!
DEEP PURPLE 4EVER!!!!!!
ritchie blackmore is the greatest guitarist of all time for his work with deep purple and rainbow. who can compare? maybe iommi.
I'm surprised there aren't more responses here😋
@@klasseact6663 I think Mr. Gilmore should get a mention.
Well to me, you are going through a rabbit hole of guitarists.
There's Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, EVH,
and on and on. That's IMO.
Excellent reaction and song. I love DP thank you. Definitely more Deep Purple. Any song from the Machine Head album is very inspiring. Thank you
👏👏👏... more Deep Purple please! ... "Lazy" , "Child in time " , "Highway star" , " Strange kind of woman" , "demon's eyes" ...
This is a masterpiece great reaction girls
Delightful to relive this fantastic music thro’ the eyes of the girls..!
The organ and guitar solos is one of their best.
Ladies you just witness one of the greatest keyboardist ever in Jon Lord and guitarists in Richie Blackmore
Glenn Hughes, the bass player with the amazing voice. "You know we have no time!"
He can still hit the high notes too.
Great reaction. Check out Deep Purple - Space Truckin' (Live in New York 1973).
Mia if you like keyboard solos you will definitely enjoy the legendary Jon Lord in this one.
It is so comforting to know when I die that young people like you will keep the music of my youth alive, because it should be kept alive because it will define generations just like it defined me
Who would think that two young ladies would be the best reactions on RUclips? But you two lovely young ladies our special! Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple the best rock bands on planet Earth of all time. Please react to a voice by God mr. David Phelps songs like. Just as I am. Oh Holy Night. No More Night. Never Walk Alone. Water and many more. And I will also bless you with Mary Did You Know by the writer himself Mark Lowry with voctave. All these are must listens. Thank you ladies I will always be looking for your next reaction
Late for a favorite band. Blackmore had sooooo much talent. Please, more.. Child in Time - super chills
Highway Star- super thrills!
You have become official Headbangers! Great job girls
FYI, they reacted to “child in time” a few weeks ago. Just scroll through their videos and you will find it!
This is a great live version although the footage is apparently from some other concert and cut to fit, you can see it clearly that the guitarplaying isnt the same. If you are looking for real live footage with the sound that goes with it the ultimate version is California Jam 1974.
The audio is from the Made in Europe LP
There is an 11-year-old female genius drummer named Yoyoka in Japan. I encourages you to search RUclips for "Yoyoka BURN".
Yep! What's also cool is Deep Purple drummer Ian Paice's reaction video to her note-perfect cover. (He has tears in his eyes at the end.)

It will blow your mind - highly recommended.
Ladies the cover by Yoyoka of Burn will be low your mind. She is an 11 yo drummer from Japan. The first time I saw it it messed up the language center of my brain for about an hour. She was recently included in the Top 500 drummers in the world on the Drummer World website. . .living and dead . . . the youngest person ever to be so honored! Yeah it's a cover and according to Ian Paice she nailed it!!! Ian Paice is the only drummer Deep Purple has ever had! Please please do a reaction to Yoyoka's BURN!!!
Saludos amigas desde buenos Aires
I grew up listening to this amazing! music. You girls are La mejor / delightful❣️
Thank you! for your smiles / joy you bring to us 😎, and restoring our faith 🙏,
in your generation, for carrying the torch, on this legendary era of the rock.
Cheers, Love, Gratitude and Respect, from the East Bay San Francisco.
How is it possible that these two cute little metalheads transported me to my own adolescence? In my teens I listened to exactly the same version on the cassette that I had recorded from the radio (yeah, a long time ago). So good you have the proper musical knowledge to enjoy this music in a deeper way. Thanks for the memories and for made me scream Burn !!! A new fan here!!
Great reaction..."Burn" is truly an amazing song you are correct it is very powerful I've always liked it...Jon Lord was an amazing keyboardist I saw DP live 4 times(the 4th time was after Jon Lord passed away) and he would do some awesome extended keyboard solos that were worth the price of admission by themselves...also the lead vocalist here is David Coverdale who would become better known as the lead singer of Whitesnake
Ian Paice for me better than John Bonham
Ian was one of the best rock drummers ever.
Ian is the best drummer ever. Way better than Bonzo
These two monsters have a style too different and played music too different to be compared.
Hi girls nice reaction again I also love your t-shirts hope you will also do more rainbow live in Munich great songs are catch the rainbow, mistreated, kill the king etc..black night is also a great song from deep purple give it a try!
What an intro from Ritchie 😃👍👍 such an iconic song. Awesome ladies I'm glad your educating the hungry mind. 🤣🤣👍
One of the best Deep Purple songs!!
After you girls reacted to Deep Purple,Child in Time and loved it,a number of us in the comments recommended Burn as another stellar Deep Purple song. I knew Juliet would like the drumming and knew both of you would like the singing also. Then there are the virtuoso performances of Ritchie Blackmore and Jon Lord on guitar and organ respectively, which you both acknowleged. So many of us get enjoyment out of your reactions, because you hear everything and your positive excitement is infectious
It is such a joy watching you girls discover and react to this sort of music! It was also cool that you noticed Ian Paice's phenomenal drumming throughout the song, which can get overshadowed by Ritchie Blackmore's bone-crunching guitar riffing and the screaming dual vocal attack of David Coverdale and Glenn Hughes. Fun fact: the guitar riff was inspired by the George Gershwin song "Fascinating Rhythm", although obviously souped-up by Blackmore. I can't wait to see what you two react to next!
Great reaction to a great song. One of the best riffs backed up by a very underrated drummer.
Girls.. Always BURN.
That's Glen Hughes screaming like hell while playing the bass ! Damn! he's still the same with his vocal power at present i.e. 2021 !
USTEDES SON LAS PERSONAS MÁS SENSIBLES Y LAS BANDAS QUE ELIGEN LAS MEJORES ABRAZO SE ARGENTINA
One of the best Purple-songs ever
You girls are watching one of the best live bands in the world. Welcome to the addiction of Deep Purple in all there glory rock on 🤘 💜
The singer went on to form the band Whitesnake. If you want to hear a banger by Whitesnake, check out Still Of The Night
Wow girls!! I thought I heard all their stuff but I’m sitting here drunk listening to this for the first time with you. Loved it!
Burn is one of their most famous and
popular songs, and you've never heard it before, I can't get my head around that one mate.
@@garytate3075 Hahaha, I’ve heard “Smoke on the Water,” “My Woman from Tokyo,” “Highway Star,” but this one? Didn’t ring a bell at all. I heard a “Child in Time,” and a few others.
Never listened to a full record of theirs. But I assume I knew all the hits the play on the radio. Guess not.
@@37434mh enjoy mate, it's a great song🤟🤟
PLEASE PLEASE check out YOYOKA's version, 11 years old SENSATION from Japan. Ian Paice from DP also was blown away by her performance: ruclips.net/video/uhzX9QbH3js/видео.html. Tx chicas
I saw that video!! Ian was really impressed with her. Honestly, she left me stunned by her drumming. She was that good.
Glenn Hughes is amazing
Lots of love from the home of Deep Purple!
Love how you react to the music you listen to. There are other Purple songs you could give a comment on, such as Strange kind a woman, Black night or Space trucking. But what i really would like to hear your comments on is Budgies Breadfan. Or a completely different song is. Jeff Beck´s and Rod Stewart´s version of "People get ready" (I don´t remember who did the original version of it).
With my best regards to you both from Sweden
This was like hearing the song again for the first time. You two are the coolest.
React to Alexander the Great - Iron Maiden and say Hi from Ceará - Brazil
😁
An English rock band formed in..... England 🙈🙈🙈
You need to hear the studio version of this song
Maravillosas chicas son las mejores que elecciones!!!! Saludos desde Argentina
RITCHIE BLACKMORE STILL ROCKS TODAY !!!!!
Tommy Bolin
Back in the olden days, there were about 4 or 5 guys that were called guitar gods. You just heard one
Ladies, you have only just scratched the surface with Deep Purple! Loved your reaction to Child In Time and now this one with Burn. You simply must do Highway Star, Lazy, Perfect Strangers, Space Truckin’, Strange Kind of Woman, Smoke on the Water, Woman from Tokyo, Black Night etc etc
WOW!!! That song had everything! Killer Guitar solos for Juliet and Epic keyboard and vocals for Mia! Your new background is amazing! And those shirts... whoever picked out your wardrobe for this reaction gets an A++++! In fact, I give him or her .. A STANDING OVATION! BTW: My favorite singer used to be Joe Cocker. It's now.. Mia Faith!! OMG, those notes she hit at the end were amazing!! Please, more Classic Rock Reactions! And please pretty please... MORE MIA SINGING! YEE!
On the studio version nothing prepares for that initial riff. It just hits you. A fantastic song one Deep Purple's best. Jon Lord on keys is one of the best ever in rock and roll. Jon Lord, Keith Emerson and Rick Wakeman are the best three on keys ever. If you like heavy rock Deep Purple have so many great songs. Great reaction girls.
I always loved his guitar doodling!
You two young ladies just gave me hope for your generation.
Me, as well! Well done girls!
Fronted by David Coverdale who went on to form the successful band Whitesnake! 🔥😊
YEE girls great reaction spot on you guys got me laughing though thanks!! Mia has to be the smartest 11 year old in history of music and Juliet your joy is contagious
It’s heartwarming to see a new generation get excited to bands that I grew up with in the seventies. There are many. many great bands from that era for you to discover.
HOLA LINDAS LO MEJOR DE HOY PARA MI ES VERLAS REACCIONAR A UNA DE LAS MEJORES BANDAS DE LA HISTORIA LAS QUIERO ABRAZO
Deep Purple was one of my favourite band in 1975 with Led Zeppelin. I Love your reaction for Burn. Rock on girls
Check Yoyoka's cover of this at 11 years old. Doesn't sound remotely like a kid.
Audio, isn't correct for the video.
Yeah, ...im wondering if this is live vid footage over a different live performance.
Some of these vids are collages...i don't know this exact one. I usually watch the live footage from Cali jam. 👍
Dear Mia & Juliet your doing great keep it up !!
Thank you for that, Juliet and Mia. Really great reaction. You are the first people I’ve seen who have reacted to this who gave serious consideration to the lyrics and I think you did a great job with it! I think you were spot-on in your interpretation. I’m a big Deep Purple fan but I never knew this footage existed, although I did tape this concert off the radio when I was in between you gals in age, about age 14. I may still even have that cassette tape! Lol. I liked all your observations. It definitely is an energizing song, Juliet, and that was interesting to me how the guitarist scared you a little because he did the same thing to me way back then. He’s a very mysterious figure. He’s just so calm and I think you’re right that he’s just saving his energy to play guitar and Mia, I was hoping you would enjoy the keyboards and you really did! I recommend listening to the original studio version sometime just to hear it as it’s very clear but this was good sound quality too. All-around fun reaction! And your background looks really cool tonight.Thank you very much.
David Coverdale is one of the best rock vocalist ever. He is deeply influenced by Led Zeppelin and early WHITESNAKE albums really reflect that. His collaboration with Jimmy Page (COVERDALE/PAGE) went mostly UN-noticed but is such a masterpiece. ruclips.net/video/ApWPgqNBmwc/видео.html
David Coverdale as vocalist and Gleen Hughes as backing vocals plus as bass guitarist..boommmms..powerrrrr ❤❤❤
Lead guitar Ritchie Blackmore took cello lessons in 1974 from Hugh McDowell (of ELO). Blackmore later stated that when playing a different musical instrument, he found it refreshing because there is a sense of adventure not knowing exactly what chord he's playing or what key he is in.
Lastly, just so you don’t get confused by this band… The singer on “Child in Time” who did those gradually rising screams… He is not the singer in “Burn”. The “child in time” guy is named Ian Gillan. And the two singers here are, as others have mentioned, David Coverdale and then Glenn Hughes who played bass and did those screams. Not sure if this information interests you but I just wanted to explain…
The intro was pure Spanish guitar and very mood setting.
Good reaction, Deep Purple is my favourite band, stunning and breathtaking songs. One of the bests lives ever.
Ritchie Blackmore is the best.
