I had a model older than this one that I love. My sister has difficulty with tools that are too heavy and she actually loved mine and found it easy to use ruclips.net/user/postUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG . This is a newer model but was even lighter which she really appreciates. She enjoys it and I no longer have to go to her house to trim as she can handle it fine. Haven't used it enough to comment on the battery life but lithium batteries last longer than the old style. Being cordless makes it easy to trim the far edges of the property. The entire yard can be trimmed with one charged battery.

Seems much better quality than the one I got. The knives were soft steel and bent upon hitting even quite thin brush (Fennel and other tough weeds)
just bought a trimmer head, sick of the plastic cable strimmers keep snagging etc so will try this one, got bushes to cut through as well this will do the job, but will wear safety boots, gloves and earp otectors, glasses etc. mine cost about £8 looks exellent, great video

I would strongly suggest wearing some heavy-duty leather boots/shoes when using this trimmer head. If one of those steel blades broke off, it could slice right through a soft shoe. I would hate to see the process of extracting one of those broken blades from a foot. It would be ugly.

I would like to see what happens when you hit a rock with all these blades you are testing. Hold the blade up to a rock for a minute, check damage, repeat till it's destroyed.

It's funny, you think stihl would make their polycuts out of metal and not platisc...oh wait, I see. When the poly hits rocks it shatters in whatever direction, at times hitting you. So when that thing hits a rock, someone's getting a good potential stabbing. Imagine that shit flying off of over 5k rpm. Your clothes aren't stopping that shit.

You have the tools already to increase the inside bore diameter of the flexible metal blade ,why waste your time to cut another metal? I was using it myself and no need to cut other metal , I simply had a round file and use it to fit the correct diameter to my grass cutter

How many times have I seen this kind of fitting? These 'EXTRA' cutter's and brushes wont fit a normal Strimmer. IT HAS TO BE THE TYPE as seen here, where the MOTOR, is at the handle end, and not at the base end. THIS SHOULD BE MADE CLEAR BY ALL MAKER'S.

this guy didnt demonstrate the blade so to encaurage us vieweers to buy it
