I have had one of these for approx. 10 years and it's still going strong. It looks identical, except the rivets on mine look more chunky and have rounded heads both sides. It's been fitted to a Stihl and currently on a 52cc Parker. It goes through pretty much anything up to about an inch live and 1/2 inch hard dead wood. It eats up thumb size hard bramble stems and the like, and when sharpened does a good job on grass too. I have to run a dremel over the leading edges (yes, like yours, it's reversable) to keep it sharp. The blades are no longer flat, some are twisted slightly at the end and some have 1-2mm chunks missing from my clumsy hitting bricks, metal work, etc. But when you do hit something solid, unlike a solid disc cutter, it does feel like it gives much more. I'm very impressed with mine, and haven't used cord now for ages! Oh yes, mine fits lovely on the brush cutter head, but I do use an adaptor to make sure it's centred - not sure if the adaptor came with it, it it's one I had with another attachment bought in the mists of time.
Hi sir. I am from India. I have recently purchased this blade from local shop. I haven't used it yet. I always use two teeth blade or chain type head. Two teeth blade consume less gas than six teeth blade treemer attachment due to high rpm running while using six teeth blade. Tow teeth blade works very fine on low rpm and cut around one inch Dia bushes easily.
I got one, it’s great on grass, but up against brick, stone, or a fence, it is much too strong and damages whatever it touches. I then learnt why we use string. String is strong enough to cut grass but soft enough it doesn’t destroy everything else.
Hope you see this message, and I want to tell you thanks for doing this review for as womens that doesn't have a man to do the job and we have to do it for ourselves and with videos like this we learned how to perform the task !!
Hello, love this vid as I am in the process of buying one. It comes with an adapter kit so everything should be ok. I can't use line as it keeps snapping off no matter what I do. Thanks,
I've just bought one but haven't used it yet, I like you didn't like the look of those rivets holding the blades. So I replaced them with stainless steel button head bolts and nylock nuts they are much safer. Oh I might add those rivets came out easy doesn't say much for how secure they weren't.
Great review, did it last or did the plate buckle and twist, the rivets wear and loosen, or the blades fly off? I use the metal head and 2 separate helical plastic line insert, can chew through most stuff except hard woody material lines last about an hour on average including chopping up some woody annual shrubs and briars. It’s about half way between ordinary trimmer line and the normal brush cutter head in cutting/flailing ability. I know it’s safe, apart from the usual occasional missiles that fly up from ground/vegetation.
Great video… I’ve been seeing these in promotional videos everywhere…. Your post has given me some good insight into what to expect when or if I purchase it
Great review, thanks. I have two questions: 1. Would it be any good for edging a lawn? 2. Do you think a bent-shaft trimmer would have enough power to run it? Cheers.
It would be ok for edging but no doubt the blades or at least tips would become blunt if they spent a good deal of time in contact with rock/concrete or even dirt for that matter. Bent shaft machine should be fine.
Best LAWN EDGER I come across has to be the FLYMO CONTOUR XT Heavy Duty. Awesome machine and auto load string makes it unquestionably numero uno out there. Getting one of those extension armed machines to assist
For edging, to be honest better no use . Very good on tuff weeds , nettle, tall strong grass. Dangerous - if you catch a stone , brick , metal , blade may brake . I had one broken , my luck fly away. , No one injured. Very lucky .
Hi, how does one get a backyard full of really weird thick runner grass that clumps together in colonies deep in the soil. Also about 3 inch mat of dead grass. I find it excellent for a really deep cut right down into the dirt and these weeds clumps under the ground. later on I go back and rake it all up and compost it so nothings is lost. I can then spray with weed killer. Establish a new lawn. Rocks may break the tips but it a small price to pay for a solution that works.
I got one recently and also brought several other similar circular types of cutters as well, but could not / don't know how to fix it to the machine no matter one blade or two blade trimmer, is it fit the line trimmer only?
You mentioned the most important issue: the rivets. It is not coincidence the major companies does not sell these blades (or I did not find them there). One should not buy this just for the safety reasons. Add to safety the sitting problem, which causes additional vibration to both machine and hands. Add to that the very dubious benefit of use (what it is in comparison to 3 knives blade?). Obvious verdict: do NOT use these trimmer heads - yiu have string head and standard one piece metal head and that will do the job efficiently and most importantly securely.
My first thought when seeing these on the internet- that head rotating at high speed - rivets aren’t enough - if one of those little blades come flying off it will be like a bullet - injury or death of user or passerby.
Change your lighting mate. It's flickering with the shutter speed. (Or change the settings on the camera.) thanks for the video. I ordered one and am worrying that it will be shite.
I have this 6 Teeth Brush Cutter and work with it every day, it ist very very good, i love it and want to no missed it (sorry my english ist not so good. i have my garden company and works with this 6 Teeth Brush Cutter here in germany.
Where's the followup? Regardless, I guess I'll close my browser tabs that have one selling for 50% + extra 10% off and it's still $54 for the trimmer head and adapter kit.
Just got one of these for myself to test out. I am personally very impressed at what it can handle. I found your video because mine did not come with anything to mount it to the stihl weed eater I use. I also had issue with the hole alignment and found the same problem. I’m sure this isn’t the safest way to mount the blade, but i put mine between the original weed eater head and the shaft. I had no way of actually mounting just the blade itself. So the blade is more like an accessory to the traditional string head, and it seems to be working out pretty well so far! Makes it a little more versatile, and keeps me from hitting the blades into the ground as easily. Great video! Very well done and helpful!

This is what I've been thinking. I only use them at the edges of fences and walls because in open areas a LAWNMOWER is much better.
Is it good on pesky thick overgrown weeds?

Thanks. A good review. I'm considering it. They used to come with some replacement blades. I can't find any that do now.

I just need to know how to remove my Black & Decker spool attachment so that l can put the blade on... Can someone assist with info ???

So far, it's my favorite all around blade which I use today. Cuts my ginny grass easily.

Sounds like you need your lawn de-thatched
How do I put it on a Hyper tough weed eater? Please

Hi 👋 I purchased one on eBay, I haven’t used it because I received an email and a refund stating it’s shouldn’t be used due to a recall 🤷♀️
You mentioned the most important issue: the rivets. It is not coincidence the major companies does not sell these blades (or I did not find them there).

Would it work on electric powered weed zapper or is that expecting too much....??

Good day.. can you give an update on this..
Good to know. Great test. Would you recommend this on a Honda 25cc curved shaft?
yeah it should be fine
This is a common complaint that I've heard about these attachments I don't know why they don't come already able to fit the trimmera
I think they market this in asia for the kawasaki td40 type trimmers which has a different head.
How safe is this? Any chance of the blade breaking and becomes a ninja projectile?
It is always possible...always use safety gear and no one should stay close to you and you will be fine to go.
Don't use one they are dangerous. 👍
i bought one recently, but l misplaced the instruction guide. does anyone know where i can find one online?
I tried to apply the blade to a battery cordless strimmer, can't work out what I need to put it on?
You need to buy an adapter kit that they don’t make clear on the website.
I have this 6 Teeth Brush Cutter and work with it every day, it ist very very good, i love it and want to no missed it (sorry my english ist not so good.
i have my garden company and works with this 6 Teeth Brush Cutter here in germany.
This remind me a old movie... The hero was able to throw it and come back like a boomerang.
Krull
the Glaive
I only need 2 attatchments, the string head and a saw blade, irregardless, interesting to see what's out there
it wont fit our flymo contour powerplus strimmer looks like iy needs an adaptor
great little review, thank heaps. I think I'll give it a go and see what happens. Cheers
Thank for the video im still undecided and this blade head
I've just requested refund, not only did it nome with instructions, it does not fit our Ryobi 36V. :( Great Video BTW.)
Where's the followup?
Regardless, I guess I'll close my browser tabs that have one selling for 50% + extra 10% off and it's still $54 for the trimmer head and adapter kit.
The follow up is if you can get it to fit it’s probably the best out of the cheaper Chinese made drop shipped attachments.
Yeah they were advertised indistructable which is clearly not the case but certainly better then the rest!
Did it live?
Great video, thanks
What's with the poofy gloves?
If it lasts a year, it's still cheaper than buying string.
Use this 6years great stuff
5 euro in my country
Would have worked better if you used it at full revs as they are meant to be used.
Just got one of these for myself to test out. I am personally very impressed at what it can handle.

That looks like a worthless Attachment That would even take way too much time on a small project
It’s actually the best out of the cheap AliExpress ones I’ve tested so far
No wonder they are banned in a lot of countries, they are dangerous and could cause serious injuries. 🤬💩
Have one it,s junk period.
This multiblade cutter is rubbish. The blades shatter when you hit a rock or wall.
