Nokia 3.4 | Unboxing & Full Tour | £129 surprise!

- Unboxing the Nokia 3.4, a £129 budget smartphone that just released in the UK, including a test of the triple-lens camera, gaming chops and tour of the specs. Check out my hands-on reviews with other best cheap Android mobiles like the Moto G9 Play and XIaomi Redmi 9.
The Nokia 3.4 from HMD Global boasts respectable specs for the price, including a 4000mAh battery and 6.4-inch IPS display. That screen isn't going to blow your mind but it's fine for viewing RUclips or Netflix shows. Likewise, this smartphone sports a basic Snapdragon 460 chipset and yes, performance can be quite janky. But you can actually play mobile games like Call of Duty with a smooth enough frame rate and responsive touch controls.
Of course the triple lens camera is rather simple, and you still have the older Android 10 on board, but you should get Android 11 soon, with the usual two years of OS upgrade promised. Plus three years of security updates too.
So that's my hands-on review with the Nokia 3.4, but have you been using this handset too? Let me know your thoughts below! Наука
I'm glad to see Nokia doing great again. This phone is a great combination of solid hardware, solid software and affordable price.
Define "great"
@@maneaandrei7881 previous generation were plagued by a combination of issues. Weak hardware (phones essentially made of plastic and glass, and a bunch of issues like weak charging ports on the 6.1 plus/7 plus), outdated processors, buggy software and useless patches, and way too many phones on the market.
Not everything is perfect by now. These phones still have discutable cameras and some models still needs to be patched, but it seems HMD Global learned from their mistakes and brought back some of the good stuff (essentially the good materials with metal frames and plastic backs). Their designs, even if not truly innovative, are efficient, and the price is accessible. About the software support, nobody can tell how great it will be in 2 years.
Funny enough, I think others budget brands created a gap for Nokia by releasing too much cheaply-made generic 200-300$ phones. Now it may become a reference for quality budget phones under 200$.
Thie chin still fkin huge tho
@@maneaandrei7881 ditching Windows phones for an Android is great
Yes for the price it's great
I like that Nokia is finally standardizing their look and my be on to a better camera layout.
im so happy that you as one of the only YTers i follow for tech, actually talks about the audio and speakers.... not all of us can or will use earbuds
thanks mate
Nokia doing pretty well, I mean affordable and 2 years of update. Yeah, I still love Nokia. Currently using a Nokia 7plus. Will change after the support ends.
same here... I wish I could update to Android 11
I wish we could at least unlock the bootloader smh 😖
Mere pas bhi h Nokia 7 plus me bhi cheng karna chahta hun
Usb-c still working on your 7 plus?
@@manuhonkanen2111 me, its broke already
Thanks, just what I was looking for, a real world review!
The comeback of legend.
I got me a Nokia 3.4 recently for 97€ (roughly 82.4£) since my old phone broke. I only use it for basic stuff like messaging, some browsing and google maps. Fully charged the battery lasts me around 4 to 6 days depending on the amount of usage of course. The update to Android 11 came recently and didn't cause any problems. To be honest I couldn't be happier with my phone. It is an inexpensive phone that is capable of doing everything I want it to do. I also got me a cheap 64GB micro-sd card for around 10€ (roughly 8.5£) which I store my photos and videos on so I won't run out of memory. This phone is like the Dacia Sandero of phones. It is Inexpensive and gets the job done.
How's it now? I am considering it for buying.
🤔 android 11 how did you manage that I'm bloody still stuck on Android 10
I just got 12 update
It's just an amazing phone the software experience is almost flawless like more expensive devices
Nokia doing great again.
Thanks for review .
I enjoy watching you presentation.
Keep up the good work.
Nice phone with great specs for a low price. I think we all like the sound of that! 👍

I was waiting to see this video from you, Chris, and finally it arrived for Nokia 3.4. I like all your reviews of every phone because you tell in detailed manner and analysis is pretty good. ❤️👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😃
I love the way you take selfies hahaha everytime you just talk and snap it and when reviewing it your mouth is always open mate :D You always bring the fun with your vids!! Keep it up!
Love the videos Chris please keep them rolling 😍😍
Thanks for reviewing the lower entry models, which you do very well.
It's because he's a mackem
Nokia just spittin' phones like a fricking machine gun this year! Jeez!
Motorola: Hold my beer 😏

Finally a video of the Nokia 3.4! :D
So many videos out there with the 2.4, but almost none with the 3.4
So happy to see this review now, since I'm buying the 3.4 at black Friday
Greate review! :D
Big Victory Of Nokia . Now Taking over in Market. I bought this phone and i am fully satisfied. What a Touch Glass feel like you are using phone Above $500 budget Phone.
Woww ❤️❤️❤️ in this price, Android one, moderately good processor, very good battery and a sobar design 😀😀 ❤️❤️
i purchased nokia 3.4, i relay happy to having the phone, nice , friendly menu, superb style , tks to nokia , again come to thsi world
Delightful little device, never the less in my quest to get away from low end processors, I will hold out for the 6.3, never the less from what I see here I think that the wait will be worth it. By the way I do like the black rendering, you can never gi wrong with black.
Nice. Has it got EIS in video? If not, any recommendation for that price point with EIS please?
Lovely bit of reviewing.
U gave the Nokia 3.4 a fair go and told it as it is.
So well done.
Cheers for watching!
Really a nokia fan here!❤
Happened to score a 3.4 on clearance at Domayne Bundall for $150-3/64GB in Fjord-happy with mine, updated easily to Android 12 and the Feb 2023 security update A-OK.
Enjoying some House Flipper Mobile and COD Mobile on mine.
Hi Chris! I like your RUclips channel, because unlike many other tech-channels, you also review these so-called entry level / low-end devices. Keep up the good work man! 😎
If 2020&2014 designs had a child
You mean Lumia?
I think it is a nice little smartphone for the price, the problem is that the Moto G8 Power can be seen around the same price nowadays. I bought mine last week at 149€ from Amazon. (and your multiple videos on it helped A LOT, im in love with the phone btw)
Here in Spain, those 149€ are the same price as this 3.4 on the Nokia official website. Anyways, it looks like it would serve as a nice cheap smartphone.
This condom case joke never gets old I literally lol everytime I think about it.
Haha thank god for that, very happy to keep spaffing out the same old jokes :)
I listen to his reviews just hear his comments, he could be reviewing a can of ravioli and I'd watch lol.
For what it's worth, I usually just call it a jizz case!! 😂
Agreed that made me laugh so much. It’s literally what they are 😂. I don’t like how they feel either.
Hey Chris, I do have the Nokia 3.4 in the blues fjord color. Looks great! Have been using the phone for a week now, and for a budget phone it checks the right boxes for me. I agree with your opinion on the screen; it isn't great but after a week I can say that it's more than good enough for your daily media and communication. If someone is looking for a propper android one phone with everything on board for your basic needs, you can't go wrong with this!
And thanks for the review! (I requested it underneath your Nokia 2.4 review)
Definitely makes a decent second/backup daily driver phone.
Where did you buy it, at what price and currency?
It looks like a nice phone, but i think nowadays the Moto G8 Power costs very little more while being a better phone overall.
@@smarquez42 bought it in the Netherlands, for € 149,-
Hi, Rene! How is the audio quality of this phone and how much is the loudness and bass level (high, mids or lows)? And most importantly, is there a Pro mode available? I have used Nokia 5.3 but I did not find this feature in it. Thank you!😃🙏🏼
I have the oppo reno 2z its amazing love your videos man
battery, software , performance and build quality is just awesome in this price range. One of the best cheap nokia phone.
Many thanks for the non bullshit beating about the bush reviews.. I have this arriving tomorrow because of your review.. if it plays cod mobile then it's going to run my smashing four and Ragnarok Origin 👍 everything else I do is purely Facebook and emails so I'm pretty excited.. I also have a fully fledged VOOC charger so charging back up will be pretty snappy 💪 once again, many thanks for such a great review, keep up the good work 👍
I see this channel going around at least a couple million subs by same date next year 2021
Iam big of Android one🔥and getting rid of other chunky trash UI😂.hey Chris what do you prefer?
Android one or custom UI?
Reply tho
Yes i bought that one today will test it.
A small feedback-
Can you also post video recording of the reviewing phone for both front and rear cameras ?
Well i think nokia does a good job on this smartphone this time. Kudos 👍
Nokia 3.4 vs Nokia 5.3, seems like Nokia 5.3 is better in terms of performance?
Thank you for your concise and informative review. I really enjoy wathcing your tech review, your way of presentation helps me understand those boring technical details in a nice pace while not boring at all. You have a very nice balance between tech-detail and user-experience that fits for different of audience.
Really good video review and that's also a great phone as a backup or for elderly and light users, with wide angle camera, dual sim with micro SD card slots with this price, it's really a good fit for budget users.
Could u kindly do a review on the updated Moto g8 plus...??
Its a humble request
I had a nokia windows phone in 2011/2012. app options weren't great but it was a tank that survived multiple drops down the stairs, hopefully they're just as sturdy now
do you have an idea what will be Nokia's upcoming phones in 2021? I'm wondering whether I should get this one or wait a bit longer for new releases
keep watching these reviews Incase something gives me a reason to stop waiting for th samsung a52 but so far nothin
g.
All your phone wallpapers are very awesome
It's the cover art of the music album "Ai640" by " Landon Tewers " ! :)
Overall how do you compare this to 5.3? I hold my plan for 5.3 for a while but then the distributor decide not to restock it at all
That shutter sound, kinda reminds me a lot of my old Nexus 5. :)
For sure! I miss Nexus phones... Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 6 where my favorites
I hate it. It was the generic shutter sound used in Android 4.4 KitKat, and it sounds so dated now. Feels kinda lazy on HMD's part tbh.
Can i ask what happens to the phones you review? I mean after the review, do you sell it or give it away?
Hi. Did you measured contrast ratio of display?
Can you do some test on audio, video, photos for nokia 3.4 & pixel 4a? Thanks. (Which one is better?)
I hope someday. Nokia will bringback the carlzeis camera 😔 beter camera of all for me
Amazing details sir
Even in my Redmi Note 10 Cod mobile lags. Amazing to see this perform better
😂😂really funny loved the video
Nice ...... How does this device's camera compare to the Nokia 5.3 ... Which one is better
I love the Uttara wide and night mood
I love your videos and your wallpapers.🖤🔥Can i get a link?
My mum just ordered this on contract - seems to be a solid option :)
Edit - she's getting used to it & I had to turn on 3-button navigation for now haha
I've used my Pixel (up to 18W) charger instead of the standard 5W charger & it says "charging rapidly" now, it's charging at 10W - previously it just said "charging"
I've read somewhere nokia is terrible with battery optimisation so there's a lot drain during night
@@kshmr_k9 that may be true
But for her (light) use & off during the night - the battery is great ☺️
@@kshmr_k9 Not true. Every lowest end budget phone are great now. This SD 460 should be especially optimized for battery instead of other phones in same price point using 662

great review. You are by far the best tech reviewer of You Tube. No bull and straight to the point.
I like your review
I'm using this rn. Picked it up today
How is it? Is it good? Does it lag when using apps? Not planning to use it for games when I buy one. Just want to know if it lags when switching apps. I own a SAmsung a11 and planning to upgrade with this phone. Thanks
this model is really good, you got pure Android without those annoying ads and bloatwares, gyro, NFC, Adreno 610 and solid build quality
Cod playing fine is a testament to how well games are optimized these days because the phone struggled to even switch from the regular camera to the Ultrawide
This is very useful
Just ordered this phone today after seeing this review, even better i got it in argos for £99.99. Great phone for a great price 👍
is it any good ?
@@aliminhas5981 yea great phone good battery life just buy a case if u get it.
Super nokia 3.4 lite wait type c nokia always king in 2010
nice information bro👍
SD 460 is grate gaming chip for price but it needs at list 4 ram :) 64/4 , SD card, 720p and google one is grate aspects for gaming on budget but it is not perfect only if it had 6000-7000 mAh at price 149.
@tech spurt which is better? the Nokia 5.3 or the Nokia 3.4?
hi... where did you get the wallpaper of your nokia 3.4? thanks.
just bought my wife a 3.4
I have a Nokia 5.3 which was on offer at argos at one point at £129 so snapped it up which is what the 3.4 is selling for now.
I will do some comparisons but i'm sure the 3.4 will suffice as the wife isn't as big a user as myself,
When I heard nokia were back I was skeptical and the earlier efforts seemed poor but so far they're winning my loyalty as my 5.3 has been flawless compared to my previous moto G6
In a few years time I may plump up for whatever flagship they release as they seem to offer great bang for buck at the lower end so the higher end must be good.
Bow that’s a quality IPS screen if I’ve ever seen one
i only just realised your name Tech Spurt means 'Expert' in all things tech. I'm so slow. Been watching your channel for ages.
Please can you do a review on the Mi 10T Lite?
i have a nokia 2.2 and the google assistant Button is there but i turned it off and i now use it to turn the phone on, like a second power button
Really want nokia to up their game and bring out a 4-500 quid number and maybe 8-900 top of range one.
I’d like to submit a challenge. I need to know what new phone records loud situation video the best. Mainly a band situation. I play drums in bands...and with the virus, more and more bands are making videos on their own. I’d like to find what phone replays the best quality video, in a loud environment.
Love your content. Thanks for all you do. Subscribed.
Buy an LG, anyone launched after the V20. If you want the latest and greatest go for the V60. Although V50 and V40 also capture sound and video exceptionally well(notice the V in the name). All can give out 4K 60 fps video. The mics on the V50 are the best while V60 has the best processor. Depends on how much you wanna spend.
Does it connect to tv with one cable ? USB to HDMI ? Ur USB -C to USB -C monitor ?
Hello there guys I've just lost my Nokia1.3 today but it was freezing every time I was on RUclips when some one tried to call me so would you recommend this one over the 1.3 Nokia ???? Or what other Nokia would you guys recommend thanks very much for sharing this with us 👍
this vedio made me buy this phone
I'm ordering it to Canada thanks
It's a decent little handset, like I said for the 2.4 it will be great for families who can't afford higher prices so gets their kids a decent mobile to use, also a great starter for peeps who haven't used smartphones before.. Overall, I like it.
And those who can afford higher prices but don't want to spend much money on a phone.
That OMG Google srsly? got me :D
Please review the Motorola E7 Plus.
Hi, where do you find those backgounds?? They are cool!!!
It's the cover art of the music album "Ai640" by " Landon Tewers " ! :)
I just recently purchased this lovely Nokia mobile phone. Why should I pay out for a dear mobile. That you can get a decent phone for less. As long it does it job for every day use I'm quite happy 😊 😁😘. The bloke giving his opinion about the Nokia mobile phone. So it's every body's opinion about what Nokia mobile phone is like. That is just my opinion 😃
My only problem with Nokia's charcoal phones after spending some time with the 5.3 is that they show their best look only in natural light. It's a nice shade of grey, but using it inside with artificial lights feels more like using any standard black phone.
I've heard that after a few months, the 3.4 and the 5.3 get a green hue and restarts a couple times a day. Is this happening to your phones?
Which is better in your opinion this or the honor 9x lite?
Nice to see Murr from impractical jokers trying out some new things
Get these alongside the 2.4 into the shop and you know what, for the money I would much rather have this over something like an a21s which samsung regularly brings down to about £139. For the money especially on contract, really can't go wrong
I reckon they slap the dedicated assistant button on these budget phones for the older folks. Many people buy them for their parents or grandparents as they obviously don't need bleeding edge features and specs and the dedicated button makes it extra simple eventhough the other options are really easy.
Yep, could def be a reason - although they usually have 'Ok Google' support too, and an app shortcut to bring up the assistant. I think if they allowed you to remap the button to other apps in the settings if you wanna change it up, that would make it a better feature.
@@TechSpurt Oh yeah totally, remapping would make it a top tier feature even for phones in higher price ranges.
I’m choosing this over the Poco M3 mainly for the software, and I also don’t play mobile games.
Gonna get one seem pretty good the deal I’m getting come with free earbuds
wow nice looking phone from nokia
My mum just bought me that phone yesterday and I am watching this on that phone
