    This also works for the 2023 and 2024 MDX. There are 2 drain hoses on the passenger side of the vehicle toward the center close to the firewall. One front and the other about a foot behind the front one.
    Hope this helps!

    The way you did it is the correct way, but have you tried to feed the hose down the vents on the dash to reach the evap? I have done this in the past and it did clear the smell but i dont dont know which vent/ re-circ heat/ ac doors were open in the evap. Great channel i have the 2012 MDX which is basically the same. I Suggest for your followers you do a video for the drive (serpentine) belt and tensioner there are no videos for this particular vintage of MDX and there are some minor differences from Gen 1. Great work

      Thanks for your feedback! I haven’t tried the vents. Serpentine belt and tensioner replacement are coming later this year.

    I'm looking to do this but can't seem to find this product readily available in Canada. Do you have any suggestions or new products?

      I’ve also used the following OEM Toyota kit successfully. In addition to the same method cleaner it has an additional one for the cabin that is sprayed through the outside cabin air intake: amzn.to/3PeUvNn

    Appreciate the videos that you do. Is the drain hose accessible without jacking up the car? Is it more towards the front center. I tried locating it today but couldn’t find anything that was within reach. Thanks

      Nevermind. Was able to locate it eventually. Didn't realize I had to crawl so deep in.

      Sorry, just saw your comment. Yep, it’s pretty crammed in there, bu I was able to reach it without jacking the car up.

    im about to clean mine! But im affraid to do it! I did it one time and sprayed the bottle from the interior. There is a little tube if you remove the plastic panel in the footroom on the passanger side. I put this little notch of the bottle in this tube and started to spray the foam in it. But after i almost emptied the whole bootle in the tube, somehow the foam or something started to drip out. I was so scared ive runned into the house to bring some towels because there was a lot of wires where it driped. Was that to much foam? How much is enough?

      You are supposed to empty the whole bottle. I’m not sure what tube you used to spray in from the interior. I would do it via the condensation drain, like I did in the video.

      Interesting! I haven't done that, but if it's there, it's the same tube that connects the evaporator with the drainage, so essentially you are just getting closer to the evaporator, which theoretically is more effective cleaning. You need to remember to plug back the drain as soon as you empty the bottle though. I will definitely try it next time, may be make another video. Thanks!

      see......we always learn new things! :-)
      But as ive said ive sprayed the foam as long as it came out of this tube where ive filled in the foam. Then ive realised that the foam/water started driping out behind the consol where the cable are visible. Ive almost got a heartatack :)

    Any problems with sticking the tube in? I can only get mine in like 5 inches before it gets stuck on an 2007 MDX

    • @AcuraAddicted
      @AcuraAddicted  2 года назад +1

      It was definitely more than 5 inches for me. May be yours is clogged?

    Can this procedure be used for 1st gen MDX?

    • @AcuraAddicted
      @AcuraAddicted  3 года назад

      This should be pretty much universal for any vehicle.

    Спасибо за видео.У меня периодически появляется противный запах при включении климата. Я покупал спец. болончик и задувал в воздухозаборник,туда где фильтр салона,но ничего не помогло. Данный метод устранит мою проблему ?

    • @AcuraAddicted
      @AcuraAddicted  6 лет назад +1

      Спасибо за отзыв! Да, это один из способов, который я тоже пробовал несколько раз. Помогало мне на пару недель, но потом запах возвращался, видимо, уже плесень в испарителе образовалась. При таком способе рекомендую вынимать фильтр прежде чем задувать в воздухозаборник, чтобы средство не оседало на самом фильтре, а хотя бы проходило дальше по системе через вентилятор. Но способ, который описан на видео, конечно, эффективнее получается. Мне почти на год хватило одного баллона.
