My wife and I had 3 miscarriages before we found out my wife has a blood clotting issue. The pain and loss never leaves, never dulls. She didn't give in my wife, that's not her style, stubborn bugger. IVF and daily injections later ... we now have the most beautiful, vibrant, freespirited 4 year old daughter Florence, she is a torrent of life and smiles and energy and fun. God bless you all going through the pain of such heavy loss, we stand with you, you are never ever alone.

James Blunt is really a master in putting words. Like in No Bravery... And I think wrting a song about a loss is a very difficult thing. He surely did a great job, here. A song that came to my mind was Tea And Toast by Lucy Spraggan. Different situtation. But also well done. Never lost a child. But by now, I've lost my dad. And also my wife, beeing married for not only 3yrs. A friend once told me: "Cry as much as you need to. And call for help if you need to." (She lost her partner to an accident, too.) And I don't feel weak, when I cry: I do define it as loving memory. Not weakness. I.e.: back home in Germany, some 4 months later. Driving back from work: when I turned in the radio "Thank you" by Led Zeppelin was playing. I love that song!! So I was singing along. Then came that line: "happiness, no more be sad." I had to instantly stop by the road side: my vision was GONE! Low speed. No car behind me. But it took me minutes, before beeing able to drive any further. This was difficult to watch Rosalie as I am sure it was to listen once you realised what the song was about. You did well not to end up a crying mess and to record yourself, brave indeed. I remember hearing this song when it was released and having been close to the subject of the song it is an experience that stays with you for the rest of your days. For James to have been able to put into song the experience of it in such a gentle and meaningful way says much about him as a songwriter and a person. It is part of the reason he has been in CD collections and playlists of mine for many years now.
I have never heard anyone speak like you have you are special i hope your partner appreciates who he has who you are and what a beautiful mother you must be xx

When I was 16 my girlfriend and I got pregnant. Unknown to me at the time she didn’t want a child. We found out we were having twins and she said she wanted to go see her parents before she was unable to. A week later she told me she had an abortion. I know that it’s not the same thing however it is painful still and I’m 47.
