I agree! I made up 7 kits, put them all over. car, diaper bag, bathroom, kitchen, my office, I leave one in my suitcase, purse. But I use a pencil cases I picked up for$ .50 after school start sale. You never know when you're going to need them.

For some family members you may want to substitute a mini utility knife for the razor blade. They are equally as usefull and a lot safer.

I use all kinds of stuff for kits including the empty dove containers from DT when done using I wash mine then save for a kit.

I have one of the little votive candles that come in a metal cup in my mini kit, they're good for about four hours of light.

Just don’t forget it in a hot car. It will melt all over the rest of you Kit.

My little box keeps growing 😅. I had a clear waterproof box. I put a plastic solar light that collapses flat so it absorbs sunlight. A handful of tea lights, lighter, and small med. Kit. Bandana. Eye drops. Peroxide in a empty eye drop bottle. I gotta laugh bc I keep trying to stick more stuff inside.

    • @lilaflores7816
      @lilaflores7816 23 дня назад +1

The candle should be either in a zip lock bag or wrapped up good. So if It does melt it won't get all over the other stuff.

Thank you, Jinne. Great ideas! Do you recall where you got the "toilet paper tablets"?
We unfortunately like so many cities have a sizeable homeless population. I think I'm going to start assembling some of these kits for them.

put your needle thru a piece of matchbook cover or other thin cardboard like material so it is not lost or dropped.

I’d use bandages with antibiotics already on them. I just bought some. Piece of hard candy.

These kits are such a great idea. 👍
I have a couple, & I've stuck magnetic tape inside the lid, (I think I got it from a Craft shop years ago.) The little things like fish hooks, safety pins, & sewing needles, plus a small multi-tool, can be kept inside the lid.
TFS HC, take care & keep really busy everyone. ❤🙂🐶

I made your crockpot Pork, Pinapple, Cranberry roast. WONDERFUL ! VERY FLAVORFUL.
The tin with emergency supplies is a great idea. I'd add a couple small bills and coins. I read in comments to make these for stocking stuffers, great idea.
We enjoy your videos and learn a lot. 😊

I made mini first aid kits when i first became a mom and the amount of stuff you can fit in them is amazing! I was able to get bandages, prep pads, various medications, bleed stop, emergency eye wash, burn gel, wet wipes, etc. Now I will make these too! Thanks!!!

Thank you Jinne! I made a bunch of these for my bluegill fishing group. BUT, I put them in large medicine bottles, water tight. Instead of a razor blade, I got those "Extendo-snap off-Blades" from that sea side Freight store. Great video.

I really like using diaper pins… they are very strong, and the head has a safety latch to keep the pointed end from popping out and pricking skin or whatever you’re pinning together.

Remember ...it really should be constructed with items tailored to your specific use and needs. Mine is one that incorporates the "5 C's of survival. Ie Cover, Combustion, Cutting, Cordage, Container. My thought is I just want something to carry that I dint even notice yet it can save a life in that 72 hour survival/rescue window.

This is probably irrelevant to the current topic. However, I wanted to mention it before I forgot about it.
I found 'true wireless' Solar rechargeable Bluetooth earbuds at 5 Below, for $8. If you have Bluetooth on your walkie-talkies, this could be quite useful.
I bought these online since there are no 5 Below stores nearby. The closest is about an hour drive from my home. Also, there is no guarantee that a particular location will have the item you want in stock.

You can take the razor blade and cut a slit in a piece of limb put the razor blade in the slit and wrap some twine or string around it to keep it tight so it looks like a tamahock and use it to cut some kenneling to start a fire. If you get some thin enough ot will fit in with your kit.
