This one was a lot of fun to make - I kinda feel bad for my neighbours though who for the last week have had to listen to a lunatic banging bits of wood together and bellowing out demented tribal chants, haha :D Big thanks to the Ubisoft team for sending me out the Wenja phrasebook, the prehistoric language really helped take the song to a different level :) Hope y'all enjoy it!!
They should really hire you for promotional content. This song would fit so perfectly into the game in the credits or main menu. Still after all those years and endless songs I've heard from you, can't believe how incredibly talented you are. Already excited for level 7. Keep it up Gav
SH4D0W Nothing to be sorry about, was just curious because you used that long word I heard a long time ago and which I associate with Australia for some reason.
Damn. Just banging together wood to get an authentic sound AND singing in a different language all together? Dude, you've got some serious dedication. You should be proud, especially since this sounds fuckin amazing.
+Igni Draco technically no language is fictional as long as the words actually have meanings. if it's gibberish sure, call it fictional/made up, but things like the dovah tongue of skyrim ARE languages, just not one many people speak, same with Tolkien elvish or klingon or whatever. they're all actual languages.
macadaddyn They can be actual languages and still be fictional. Just as a novel can be fiction and still be an actual book. It does not mean that they are not a real language. Just that they were designed as part of a fictional setting.
I love the way this whole song was sung in their language, rather than English. It actually sounds better than it would if it were in English. Yet another awesome song, keep 'em coming!
I have no idea how you can be so amazing at what you're doing, I don't care if you're sacrificing virgins to Cthulhu or if you're drinking tears of infants or something like that. As long as you're doing this amazing music, I'm all for it.
+Kysman95 I suspect that it has more to do with talent and practice than virgins, infants, or Things Man was Not Meant to Know. Or virgin Infants Man was Not Meant to Know.
going through several MOS songs i can't help but realise that Gav is one of the most talented musicians i know. not only is not even one song the same, they are all damned good. keep being awesome!
My experience discovering him was that I found Wake the White Wolf and I said, "Alright so he made a kickass song. No way all of them are this good." Then I listened to shadow of the ash. "Alright... I have to say I enjoyed this song... even though my first few times listening to it without watching the video, I did not realize that it was in another language. This is proof that your instrumentals are good enough that you could make every song gibberish from this day on and you would still be one of my favorite musicians.
+CJ Ware I often think, when listening to these songs and hearing that Gavin will occasionally get useful materials from the companies, that they should pay him afterwards to allow them to stick the songs in. I mean, think of listening to this with the ending credits or as the intro to a DLC storyline :-p
+CircleTheSkies If I somehow ended up in a position where I'm choosing music for a video game with a budget, I'd commission a Miracle of Sound song. They're awesome and come with complimentary advertisement!
+FF sake If I recall correctly he was commissioned for both Watchdog's "Digital Shadow" and Mass Effect 3 "Take it Back" but with that having been awhile back I'm probably misremembering.
Sometimes I think you're some sort of Irish musician, Gavin. All of your songs are fantastic, I utterly cannot stop binge-listening to some Miracle of Sound tunes. Really love how all the hard work pays off to create such awesome content!
+aNerdNamedJames I would like to know if that song is on RUclips. I sure as Hell can't find it if it is. Unless you mean one minor bit in the Sovngarde song.
Duuuuude that was awesome of Ubisoft to send you this and you put it to fantastic use. While I do sympathies for your neighbors this was totally worth it. It sounded amazing and from what trailers I've seen really fits the bill of this upcoming game. I don't need to tell you awesome job, but I will anyway~ Keep it up my bro!
I just saw the Tweet from, like two hours ago and thought: "Hey, maybe it's already uploaded. Let's look at his channel". And then I saw it was uploaded 57 seconds ago and I was like best timing ever :D
My friend asked what music you do when I was talking about you. And my on the spot reply was 'he's like a Crazy, Irish, John Lennon-Esque, Gaming Music Scientist'. It worked! He likes you now! :0
+Oliver Randuska He's just one man; He does the vocals, the instruments, and the needed editing to produce these amazing songs all on his own unless otherwise stated in the credits or description. As such he can't do a concert however awesome that would be.
So I like linguistics a lot (I'm going to uni to study languages) and I looked at the lyrics for this without really knowing anything about Far Cry. Noticed words like "sampar" for "forever" and "swa" for "each other" and had to look it up cause I recognised them *The entire language is derived from Proto-Indo-European, the ancestor language to everything from English to Greek to Latin to Sanskrit and you can see it in the words themselves and I think that's absolutely awesome*
Awesome song, as always. Apart from enjoying the music itself, as well as the cool lyrics, I love the way it sounds (Obviously, if I like the song, I think it sounds good, given the nature of music and how it's consumed) but I mean the way that it's very crisp and feels good to listen to. The sound was balanced and the instruments were sharp and clear. The vocal layering was also very lovely. Each harmony resonated through perfectly. In other words, it makes my ear holes feel good on multiple levels. I also wanted to say thank you for continuing to make music. You are my absolute favorite artist, and you inspire me to better myself as a musician and a person. More than just upholding your standard of excellence, you surpass it with every new creation. I love your music, old and new, and I can't wait to hear what comes next.
Fricking awesome. Seriously man I don't know how you keep doing this but every time you publish a new song you grow even higher in my esteem. You wrote a whole fricking song in the Wenja language? So you're a genius as well as being an amazing singer. Seriously dude you deserve more recognition than you get. Keep going man you rock (literally XD )
Wow. Brilliant! Very nicely performed in a tribal style. Empowering and fear sowing music in one song. I would definitely listen to this while playing the game, or writing my novels. :3
This was so awesome, Gav. Always happy to see a new song. Loved the effort you put into making it, the song came out amazing. It would be cool to have behind the scenes on a video... or live steam/Twitch.
You've always seemed to get the atmosphere of the game into your music. Something that i've come to enjoy with every new song like it. Once again Gav, you rock \m/ \m/
This is incredibly awesome. In fact it's so awesome it leaves me wanting an Elder Scrolls song in Dovahzul or Ayleidoon, along with a Tolkien universe song in Sindarin or the Black Speech. Yes, that last one, my god. Death metal in Black Speech. Sorry, of course I don't expect any of those, I was just nerdgasming too hard. Still, this turned out to be a really cool performance.
This is brilliant! Positively brilliant! It's great that Ubisoft sent you the phrasebook! You made incredible use out of it. I wish I could give this 100s of thumbs up because it is fantastic!
You could have made an amazing song in English, and yet you went above and beyond and made it in the Wenja language. Well done! I tip my hat to you, sir.
Hey man, I study archaeology and I really love this game. This is really cool to hear for example while I am traveling to school :-D big thanks for that
Forgive my English is not very good because I'm a canary, but I had to tell you to do some amazing work and with this song in the language of the game you have far exceeded. So teacher continues.
Another great song, though the chorus had me thinking "I've heard this somewhere before" . Then it hit me: the French refrain in "My Revolution" is almost the same melody line, just a different tempo. Yes, I play them that many times :)

Well this song is worth the effort you put in it! This is another great one Gavin!
In a few months I am gonna make a lets play from Far Cry Primal. can I use this as background music ?
+miracleofsound This is fantastic and completely unexpected. No matter what language you sing in, anyone can enjoy your work.
Oh my gods that was epic!
This just proves my point, every song you make can be literally on the level of a caveman and it's still amazing.
any one else want to see gavs other songs in wenja now
