It's crazy how EVERY single song of yours is poetic, beautifully written, and dynamic in structure. Not to mention you have an incredible voice. The first time I discovered Miracle of Sound, I thought it was a band. The fact you make all of this music on your own is truly baffling. Rock on dude, we're huge fans!!!!! -Skull and Pat
+JT Machinima It's funny. I finished listening to your guys' song for this game before coming here. I wonder if there's a chance that you guys are considering collaborating on a song?
I love how "cry revolution, broken dreams" is sung in the same tune as "my revolution sets me free" from the AC unity song. I like the throwbacks to older songs.
+miracleofsound Was the "crimson are the rivers" line a callback to the "la justice est une riviere rouge" one from My Revolution? Or are the callbacks all musical instead of lyrical?
+miracleofsound There's "Cry revolution, broken dreams", "Crimson are the rivers" And I'm not sure of the last one, the melody sounds quite familiar in some parts, if that's it. Fantastic song as always Gav, and the drums sounds a fair bit better in this version! :)
AC2 song: "Pools of crimson sin, on swollen throats I leave my mark." AC3: "Musket guns and silver slivers, justice runs in crimson rivers." AC4 Black Flag: "Hoist the black flag, lads! Justice runs in crimson rivers!" AC Unity: "La justice est un riviere rouge. Je tu cherche, ou-est tu?" (Justice is a red river. I look for you; where are you?" AC Syndicate: "Crimson are the rivers, bleed our grief into the sea."
I understand not a lot of people were entertained by this game and found it disappointing. But I actually loved it. Maybe I'm just a sucker for Victorian London
i liked it too but felt it was missing something for at least the first half of the game, I decided to put away my criticism and look at it with a fresh pair of eyes and I really started to enjoy it. the only thing I would add to the game really is an introduction to the Rooks. It's like you save a few of them and suddenly you're the leader of the Gang.
I'm twenty-five years of age, and I have never been attached to the work of any particular musician. Until coming across Miracle of Sound, I was a guy who liked random songs from random sources, with no real interest in any one performer. For instance, I could adore a certain song, and be left utterly cold by everything else produced by that same artist. This guy is, quite literally, the first musician that I've ever been a fan of. So many fantastic songs, and hopefully very many more to come!
Exactly the same thing for me. I've always heard one or two songs from an artist that I really liked, and then their other music just doesn't click the same way for me. I've enjoyed every one of Gavin's songs, and some of them are genuinely my favourite pieces of music that I've ever heard
Sealer's floodgates hold us bound, come on down, to Londo Town! Darkwraiths lurk as ghosts surround, come on down, to Londo Town! Journey answering the Lord Soul's hail, black lake testament to man-kind's fail, four kings waiting under darkest veil, Londo's drowning cry!
Ya know, I've never played the games, but listen to the songs because it's Miracle of Sound. The fact that the songs make sense, even when you don't fully understand the source of inspiration, just says how great of an artist you are.
This feels like it should have ten million more views. The fact that its only at 6 mil means there are far too many people missing out on this masterpiece.
I think it's a great thing that if someone with no experience with AC were to listen to this they could still enjoy it as a song about the Industrial Revolution.
I'm now entirely convinced you simply cannot make a bad song. Been a fan of yours since i heard a mass effect song waaay back. I've had the pleasure to listen to many a good song of yours throughout my life and I seem to find one for almost every occasion. Sometimes I just go on a miracle of sound spree and listen through all my favourite song of yours and they all have their memories to them.
Hey, Gav, I just wanted to say..well. thanks for existing XD. As an aspiring musician you're a huge inspiration to me. Not only did you teach yourself, but you're a successful independent artist. You're also and incredibly kind, and laid back person, something I try to do in my everyday life. In fact you're one of the only musicians that i've kept up consistently with. I'm probably sounding like a broken record, but seriously, you're a huge inspiration for me and I hope you continue making amazing music for ages to come!
+N3wmon3y guy, as in generally the one person. he did at one point ask a women to do a voice for at least one song, but beyond that, this is all him. yeah, as said below, when someone other then him helps with the song, he has it listed somewhere.
With the exception of Dan Bull's Metro Rap, Legends of the Frost, Lady of the Worlds, Dream of the Sky, Dream of Goodbye (Maybe not 100%), and Sweet L.A., and possibly other songs I can't think of currently he is the band. What you hear is all him.
All I have to say is that I hate how long it takes for you to come out with new music along with their videos. But it is well worth the wait every single time. You have yet to disappoint me once at all, and every single song you do is worth buying. (BTW I would rather be stuck on Mars with your music then anyone else's music.)
beautiful. simply beautiful. the thing i love the most about these is that you manage to connect all those songs of assassin's creed to each other with lyrics/melody.
"Smoke in Eden eyes" makes me wonder - is that a refference back to your first Assassins Creed-song "Brothers of the Creed" with the line "Eyes of Eden upon me"? Well played, Gavin - good one indeed! With the "crimson rivers" and "my revolution, broken dreams" referrences being the obvious ones (and probably more well-remembered) Besides that, what an absolutely great song - think I've already heard around 40 times already! :D
I think the smoke in Eden's eyes is more referencing the the way industry is destroying nature, and Eden was/is God's Garden and therefore associated with nature etc. but I like your idea too :)
Love that you used the melody from your unity song at the end there. Really gives the two games and their respective songs ... well a sense of unity lol. I've always loved that about your songs from the same franchise. You always manage to tie them together with common lyrics or hints of a melody. Great song and great work as always.
I kinda want to play this game because of my infatuation with the Industrial period, but I also don't want to be disappointed by another AC game. urrrgh But luckily I'm never disappointed in Gavin's songs based on the franchise.
Eh, I was satisfied with Unity simply name dropping people in the French Revolution, so if you're already geeky about the Industrial Revolution I'm sure you'll be satisfied.
+Random Guy Well lets not go that far, gameplay wise it was realy stripped down compared to older AC games and the story wasnt that great either but its definitly an alright game if you can get it cheap somewhere.
+The66Hammer I thought it was good, if not because the last AC game I played was 3 and a little bit of 4. The difficulty was a pretty big spike, but I still got what I wanted out of it regardless. While the romance elements felt appropriately cute and were a decent plot element, I felt that they could've been done better, and seeing as though that was the main driving force of the story (the French Revolution being a thematic backdrop), I can somewhat agree that the story could've been better. It was like they shoehorned elements of the overall series plot into an already competent story, which detracted from the "star-crossed lovers" thing they were slightly subverting.
+William B (PKMN12) No they don't they do however have a stake in the company of around 15%, not nearly enough to significantly sway development or marketing and most certainly not a controlling stake.
+zainethedemonking Actually, not for five years they haven't, according to Bloomberg Business. www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2010-07-16/electronic-arts-is-selling-15-stake-in-ubisoft-entertainment-terms-show
I really like when you throw in callbacks to previous songs of the series. My Revolution in this, You Died in Fires Fade, Call of Home in Shadow of the Ash etc.
This song has been out for a little over a month now, and I still can't stop listening to it. I still find myself listening to it for hours on end. I salute you Gav, for creating the most addicting song ever.
"'slaves in seas of soot we drownCome on down to london townThe cogs they creak and the pistons poundCome on down to london town " that was my favorite part keep on going miracleofsound, alsoWho is watching this in 2018?
Don't know if i commented this vid yet... but this song is amazing and I love it. Also bought it. Happy to see some people still care this much about Assassin's Creed! I have no words for how amazing this song is. Rock on, Gav!
You know, I used to be a TOTALLY DIE HARD AC fan, and recently I took a few months long break. I tried it up again after a good 6 months but I couldn't seem to get back into it. I didn't have the enthusiasm to get Syndicate, so I decided to wait until my birthday, which is now in a month. I tried and tried to get back into it, but I couldn't it. But this. This is it. This did it. It has once more sparked my love for the series. Thank you so much! Sound is a miracle indeed! :P
The beautiful thing about you, is that you always learn, you never hit a peak. When I heard your first album, it was great, admittedly dull with the instruments, but since then, you consistently expanded, and have reached a level that many have only dreamed of. If I could sing to save my life, you would probably inspired me to follow a career in music, or at least develop these talents. Sadly, if humanity's fate was based upon my singing skill, we would all be dead
Miracle/ Gavin.I only just realised that the opening beggining vocals are the same rythem as London bridge is falling down... :3 how has it taken me this long xD
I just realized you even made a reference to Shadows in the Moonlight. Now that's one of the thousands of reasons why you are and always will be the best at what you do.
I think that this would have been a great trailer for the game, with the only change being that at 3:31 the screen would slowly fade to black then slowly fade back to show the title.
My friends and I play a Call of Cthulhu game set in Victorian era London. I watch this video before every session to get hyped for the look and the feel of the setting! Thanks Gavin for improving my tabletop experience! :D
I have to say it. Even if I know nothing about game - I love to listen to your songs. I'm talking in general, not about AC. And this song is great - as always. Thanks for what you're doing :) And I'm waiting for more!
+VeryCuteGM This is one of the best videos. Is it just the Ubi trailer or edited? Regardless whoever edited it, Gavin, some Ubisoft employee, or someone else, did a great job and it fits the song perfectly
Whenever I listen to one of your songs for the first time I am filled with such a mix of emotions that I can do nothing but do dinosaur arms and go 'myeah' really loudly :3 It might be the mix of the game footage and the beautiful music, or it might be how well they work together, but you're doing something very, very right.
I have to give you credit where no-one would expect it: a friend of mine had an idea for a mafiastory and while trying to come up with keywords (for possible names for the story), we listened to your AC songs to give our ears something to do. turns out they had just the right simbolism to insoire good keywords
The greatest thing about this song is the images that it's music evokes. I can just close my eyes as I listen to the song and feel the Industrial-era London be conjured up in my mind. ... Holy hell, your music is the animus!
I'm about 1/2 through this now. Aside from the terrible controls compared to the other AC games, I'm quite enjoying it. Keep thinking of this song as I'm running around London. Ubi really needs to get you on the payroll, if not for the actual soundtracks then for the trailers at least!
They actually do like to try and sponsor him for songs sometimes. The thing is that he really only accepts if he's doing the song anyway, like with Watch_Dogs.
This is the first song I have ever heard of yours and I legitimately thought this was simply the trailer for the game and thought "This trailer has really nice music". Now I know better but the song remains my favourite :)
I have no real love for AC games anymore,i dont hate it i just dont care but you my kind sir,you make me want to play it right now.Your songs makes everything cool :)
You literally can't stop getting better, can you? Is there any stopping point for you, Gav? But really, you're amazing as always. Keep up the fantastic work!
Everything about this comment is hilarious, the profile pic/name, the one sentence, the fact that it's almost as soon as the vid was uploaded. Best comment 2015
For some reason this one surpasses all other AC songs you have done, i think it's the "Steam train runnin on a reckless rail part" keep up the good work mate! :D
+Aerunn Allado The kick drum in the previous version was way too loud & flabby, it had far too much in the low-mid frequencies. Only something that you'd notice on bassy speakers or headset
+miracleofsound I did feel like part of the song was a bit off.. Now that you mention it, this sounds a lot better. Dont you worry, those 40k views will be back, and might bring some buddies. :D
It's crazy how EVERY single song of yours is poetic, beautifully written, and dynamic in structure. Not to mention you have an incredible voice. The first time I discovered Miracle of Sound, I thought it was a band. The fact you make all of this music on your own is truly baffling.

"Come on down, to London town." Line will be stuck in my head for the rest of the day.

This song should be used in advertising for visiting England
While fighting with The zulu tribe...
All of MOS related songs are stuck in my head for the rest of the millenium
I love how "cry revolution, broken dreams" is sung in the same tune as "my revolution sets me free" from the AC unity song. I like the throwbacks to older songs.
+Chris Wong There are 3 callbacks in this one :) I wonder how many people will spot them all!
+miracleofsound
Was the "crimson are the rivers" line a callback to the "la justice est une riviere rouge" one from My Revolution?
Or are the callbacks all musical instead of lyrical?
+Chris Wong That is, indeed, one. "Crimson rivers" is featured in almost all his AC songs.
+miracleofsound What's the third? :O
+miracleofsound There's "Cry revolution, broken dreams", "Crimson are the rivers"
And I'm not sure of the last one, the melody sounds quite familiar in some parts, if that's it. Fantastic song as always Gav, and the drums sounds a fair bit better in this version! :)

Solaire of Astora maybe
I enjoyed the gameplay of this game but I am probably a little biased cause I LOVE victorian london
actually it was way better received than unity
One of the greatest games in my oppinion. Love it for ever.
The AC developers should thank you, this actually makes me want to play the game.
Miracle of Sound's music is the ONLY thing that makes me want to play the entire franchise.
By far Gavin's best song
dont lmao its dogshit
Same
I suggest doing so. It's a great game. My favorite AC actually

Underrated comment!
You should get paid for this, just because of this I want to go and buy the game now.
+Spartan John-G172 Thought I was the only one... This song has actually got me excited for an Assassins Creed game. Jeez.
He does get paid. Ubisoft pays him to make these.
+David Teter Money well spent.
+David Teter i doubt Ubisoft pay him directly. He most likely gets paid the same way any other youtuber does
They do. He has said they sponsor his videos.

Exactly what happened to me. I found it randomly in my music app and then went to find the artist in youtube, and now I really want to play AC xd
I'm now entirely convinced you simply cannot make a bad song. Been a fan of yours since i heard a mass effect song waaay back. I really love how you mirrored "My Revolution" there at the end, very cleaver.
Okay, okay, corny up. You are one of the best musicians I've ever heard dude! Like seriously, this is completely amazing.
Listening to this song after watching your layering video makes me appreciate it even more

Another absolute masterpiece. You are without a doubt the artist with the most consistent quality I know of. Keep up the amazing work Gav!
Hahahaha I freaking LOVED your reference to "My revolution" in there. Very subtle, A+ :)
Love the parallel between the French Revolution and the Industrial one, stroke of genius right there.
"Smoke in Eden eyes" makes me wonder - is that a refference back to your first Assassins Creed-song "Brothers of the Creed" with the line "Eyes of Eden upon me"?
Well played, Gavin - good one indeed! With the "crimson rivers" and "my revolution, broken dreams" referrences being the obvious ones (and probably more well-remembered)

Or it could be all these things since Gav is amazing.
Jonas Bjerregaard you forgot black flag "Justice runs in crimson river"
This franchise consistently brings out some of your best work, Gav.
Listening while driving a carriage in the streets of London, en route to stop Templars from blowing Parliament. What an ambiance. And what a song.
Love that you used the melody from your unity song at the end there. Really gives the two games and their respective songs ... well a sense of unity lol. I've always loved that about your songs from the same franchise. You always manage to tie them together with common lyrics or hints of a melody. Great song and great work as always.
"Come on down, to London town" ..... Well, yeah. I can´t get this part out of my head :'D

I love how both this and My Revolution start with the slow piano before it kicks off into the main song.
8 years old and its still so good. The game had its fair share of issues, but this absolutely nails the mood. Its so good
JUST AWESOME...Great lyrics
Miracle/ Gavin.I only just realised that the opening beggining vocals are the same rythem as London bridge is falling down... :3 how has it taken me this long xD
I just realized you even made a reference to Shadows in the Moonlight.
Now that's one of the thousands of reasons why you are and always will be the best at what you do.
I finished the game two days ago
You're killin' me man, this is perfect THE FEELINGS ARE TOO MUCH
The reason I started playing my favourite game series of all time
I love how easy it is to climb in this one but unity is my favorite
I think that this would have been a great trailer for the game, with the only change being that at 3:31 the screen would slowly fade to black then slowly fade back to show the title.
Am i the only one who enjoys his songs more the second time?
+SuperPineapplejones Happens all the time. Can barely stand them the first time through, personally. Part of it is his voice.
+Malcolm Swoboda true that
+SuperPineapplejones Yes
My friends and I play a Call of Cthulhu game set in Victorian era London. I watch this video before every session to get hyped for the look and the feel of the setting! Thanks Gavin for improving my tabletop experience! :D
I have to say it.
Even if I know nothing about game - I love to listen to your songs. I'm talking in general, not about AC.
And this song is great - as always. Thanks for what you're doing :) And I'm waiting for more!
I love your music so much. So beautiful. So addicting. Literally 90% of the music I listen to is yours! ^-^
As long as the vid is back up it's all good man!
+VeryCuteGM This is one of the best videos. Is it just the Ubi trailer or edited?
Regardless whoever edited it, Gavin, some Ubisoft employee, or someone else, did a great job and it fits the song perfectly
you are GENIUS for music
Bloody hell, that was amazing! :O The song is lovely!
London Town! This song is absolutely masterpiece
its videos like this that make you wonder. "who the hell is disliking the video??"
+Nightstalker Gaming You sir, didn´t play AC Rogue.
Dominik Heß Aye!
Dominik Heß Wait, no... not aye. I think he was calling him a Templar scum BECAUSE of AC rogue's story.
But AC Rogues story was very good and the protagonist Shay was far away from being a scum.
Dominik Heß Clearly you don't understand...
Whenever I listen to one of your songs for the first time I am filled with such a mix of emotions that I can do nothing but do dinosaur arms and go 'myeah' really loudly :3
It might be the mix of the game footage and the beautiful music, or it might be how well they work together, but you're doing something very, very right.
3:05
That was a nice callback to your Unity song "My Revolution"...
Why won't they make a game with cowboys? Walking around Texas in a hood, having showdowns with Templars, Riding like the wind...
Red dead redemption
There's a bunch of time periods they should do but won't smh
As a Texan I approve this message
The crusades 🤔
Or the Italian renaissance 🤔🤔🤔
This is the first song I have ever heard of yours and I legitimately thought this was simply the trailer for the game and thought "This trailer has really nice music". Now I know better but the song remains my favourite :)
I thought the same thing when I heard wake the white wolf last year, it thought it was a song from the games soundtrack or something
I have no real love for AC games anymore,i dont hate it i just dont care but you my kind sir,you make me want to play it right now.Your songs makes everything cool :)
Catchy. Love it. Can't stop singing along. Great job guys! This one is amazing!
I'm buying this game for two reasons "jack the ripper" & "Charles Darwin"
+Bookworm2013 Quotations for the lack of good character design I hope.
+Bookworm2013 hmm good
+Bookworm2013
You'll have to buy DLC or Preorder for that then.
+Richard “Firebug” Merrick I may want the game but I'm not gonna pre order, I'll just buy the dlc
But will we have Spring Heeled Jack?
this song is gold.
DALE VOLI DALEEE
You literally can't stop getting better, can you? Is there any stopping point for you, Gav?
But really, you're amazing as always. Keep up the fantastic work!
Wow. Just wow. THIS IS AMAZING!!!
Assassin's Creed is always going to be mediocre from now on. But your songs will forever be masterpieces.
It's been mediocre since brotherhood other than black flag imo, but I agree about gav's music
+Noah Klein And it's sad that, at least for me, Blck Flag was not so much an AC game. Still fun to ram British and Spanish ships, tho. :D
+Cap'n Marty Ramin' them ships all day.
+Cap'n Marty Try did Meier's pirates. Amazing game that you might like if you liked black flag
+Cap'n Marty *Sid
I'mma buy the shit outta this.
Everything about this comment is hilarious, the profile pic/name, the one sentence, the fact that it's almost as soon as the vid was uploaded. Best comment 2015
+Danger Beans Thank you for this comment.
+Danger Beans I hope you mean the song, rather than the game.
+Cj Lange Why not both? Syndicate looks amazing.
It does, but I'm still a bit wary after Unity. I prefer not to get my hopes up before a game is even out yet.
Added it to my "Music" playlist before it started :D
For some reason this one surpasses all other AC songs you have done, i think it's the "Steam train runnin on a reckless rail part" keep up the good work mate! :D
I love the slight melodic references to "My Revolution". Awesome song once again! :)
You know how I found out about Assassin's Creed? It was thanks to this song. Thank you.
I have same thing, but with Unity song
Well I don't really see what is the difference much from the previous version of this, but well it's still amazing
Thanks for the explaination, I just don't have speakers or ear/headphones that's why I probably didn't notice it
+miracleofsound yeah I noticed it towards the end on my razor gaming headset, you are definitely on point that this version is better.
+miracleofsound Yeah, I notice it ^^
