You don't have to completely remove the sway bar, just disconnect it. Jeep guys use sway bar disconnects to do that quickly and easily, then reconnect it when they go home.
Yeeeeah! I'm so glad to be nominated to keep this video "challenge" alive! I loved your intro and actually I have or I did 4 of your mods! So that's totally approved! All I miss is the LED Lights which are on my list for years but I just never took the time to buy them 😂. Thanks for the video and I'm gonna work on my part now 😁
The street sign mod is a great idea. As I have one sitting in the shed, it now looks like I’ve got a job to do? I reckon seeing a ‘stop’ sign under the car should also be a bit of fun
Dat Star Wars intro doe. The street sign skid plate is like the epitome of what I was thinking when I came up with this video! The idea was people could have fun modding / improving their vehicle without needing to spend hundreds of dollars. Awesome video!
Those are all great ideas and all feel totally legit for this challenge (which gets harder and harder to fulfill as more people have done it before you...good luck Jordan...). I have yet to try the sway bar delete but am definitely curious to give it a try.
The common one is the rear to delete. When you look at it is super thin and makes you wonder what it even achieves. But removing it does give you more articulation in the rear. You can also do a quick disconnect style for the rear so you just disconnect the swaybar when you want to go offroad and have the best of both worlds
@@dylanlucas3397 basically for the rear end link, you get a bolt with a hole in the end and some washers as spacers. Put a cotter pin through the hole to keep everything in place, then when you offroad, remove the bolt and tuck the sway bar up out of the way. Pretty simple and cheap to DIY.
It's that sort of advice/suggestions/comments that helps other people grow knowledge and apply it to their own situation, even if they don't own a Foz. Thanks Mitre
Yesss 🙌 Soo good man! Thanks for participating and sharing all who have done the challenge previously. The intro edit was 👌great. Those were great cheap and free mods! Wish I had thought of some of those. Good stuff man and looking forward to Jordans video 🙌🙌
also make sure you're only blowing dirt OUT by blowing from the inside out. dont blow dirt further into the filter by blowing from the outside where you could just be forcing it to the clean side
I don’t think there are any in production for that year model. You would have to go custom or modify one from something like an old Nissan Navara/Frontier (depending what country)
I don't know why.. but the leds light I use for the interior when they warm they starts to blinking.. Don't know if is bad quality or a problem with the voltage of the forester
You should've just clarified that when blowing the air filter clean, you must only do it from one side of the air filter. From the bottom or underside of the air filter of which way it sits in the box. Just saying.

Honestly I’ve only driven old Subaru’s so I have no experience with the new technology. The key with Subaru is they are lightweight, so as long as you deflate your tyres they will most likely outperform the bigger/heavier 4wds

That’s true. There’s plenty of people that run disconnect kits.
Street sign ftw!! I made one for my old outback

Awesome! Can’t wait to see it. And goodluck with your 5 mods. It becomes harder to chose as the challenge goes on.
Great video! Love your work.
Mate, do you know if swaybar removal is an illegal mod in NSW?
Any aussies out there do you know?
I think it’s illegal anywhere in Australia. However you can run quick disconnect kits to get the best of both worlds
I added LED park lights a few years ago and lost one inside but I cant hear it rattling around, I dont know if there is an easy way to install them.
Those SG front parkers are a bitch, but I finaly changed them after removing headlights to fix water leaks.
Now have clean and bright LED headlamps 🤙
🤔 so not allowed to pinch a local street sign😞

Thank you! I was hoping you would like the intro haha

@@ignitionoffroad5028 do you mean just disconnecting bottom rear link pins bolts and leaving the rest in place while offroading?
@@ignitionoffroad5028 I'm interested in this quick disconnect you mentioned, what kind of stuff would I need to be able to do that?

Great Video Malte! Awesome idea using an old street sign!
Haha I don't recommend stealing them from the street 🤣
Bro this guy isn't in australia his car and him would upside down smh 🤡🤡
He is. He just uploaded it by flipping it 180

Thanks! I had a lot of fun with the intro
I put LED for my reverse lights too. So much brighter then standard halogen
what are the bulbs called ??
I think the 5th "mod" was kind of a copout lol, but whatever
Street sign as a sump guard? isn't good protection..it's easily prone to flex.
Does anyone give their cars a name?
Like Scooby Roo or Scooby-Doo, or Bob?
Just wondering.
Mine is named christine like the car from the stephen king book/movie lol
Bob Bitchen 🤪
Mine is named Frog
@@livinglikeahuman7918 how is Frog going?
My 02 outback 5spd wagon is named Tourniquet. My 06 legacy gt 5spd is called Blue Devil lmao
When using an air compressor to clean the air filter, be careful of the pressure and don't get too close. You can damage the filter.
also make sure you're only blowing dirt OUT by blowing from the inside out. dont blow dirt further into the filter by blowing from the outside where you could just be forcing it to the clean side
Awesome list man! Amazing how much the sway bar out (only have my rear out) actually helps offroad.
Did you notice any difference driving on roads around bends?
Also would this removal affect your insurance?
@@soundsolutions only a very small amount of difference on road. I have the sway bar removal approved during certification so insurance is no problem.
good to see those legal comments cavering you... lol
Not a bad way of looking at it...
check out: Subaru OFFROAD Australian Sand
Was that Mt Coree at 2:55?
Why yes it was Glorious Leader 😂
It's a great summit view isn't it? Should totally let me know when you go next, I'm yet to take my Foz up there 👌
sounds like my kind of challenge
Well ALNSM does have to pass the challenge on to someone 😉
I gave the thumbs up for "without further adieu"
