There is a reason why most of the fastest marathon results are from Berlin. Wishing for a marathon WR during Olympics which happen in summer (hot) and often on hilly or suboptimal courses is pure stupidity. Someone who prepared the video failed to do a reaserch.
I couldn't wait to see the 2020 Olympic 400m Hurdles Champion, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone will see her World Record holder for 400m in Paris 2024 this Summer at Olympic Games.
Warholm is not in a shape to break world record Rojas is not even competing, she's out with Achilles injury. Kipchoge definitely won't break Kiptum's WR ever, let alone at the Olympics. Rest are valid
“That’s my Mondo!” cried Sha’Carri Richardson, when she spotted fellow LSU competitor, pole-vaulter Armand Duplantis, at the last Worlds. He boasts one of the most intriguing backgrounds, IMO: Swedish-Cajun!
Most of these records will not be broken. Many of the top athletes that would have any potential in breaking these records aren't 100% healthy. I think the Olympic 200m record can be broken. The WR would be much harder. And in most of the other races, it's not about getting a WR, it's mainly to win gold. Distance races often go slower in favor of beating your opponent, over beating a certain time.
Not sure we will have any track world records in Paris but i think we will see fast times in the 400m hurdles (men and women) that will get very very close, though these records are near perfection already anyway. He's a wildcard one - Mens Triple jump, definitely going to be 18.1+ that gets gold and record is the legendary 18.29 from Jonathan Edwards. Also the 800m women's race is going to be fast and i can see a 1.53 time perhaps in that with national records going and the mens 1500m is going to get pretty close to record time. Mens 200m i think will be more like a 19.4 so i don't think record will go. Could see some decent relay times, especially in the 400m. Overall though if i had to bet either way, i don't think we will see any track world records and I don't know enough about some field events to comment on.
I am personally very excited for US trials women's 5000m. Cheering for Abbey Cooper to make her 2nd Olympic team. If you are not familiar who that is, you can check her exploits in 2016 at Rio.

The discus world record is nearly impossible to break in a major championship setting. A closed stadium doesn't let wind affect performances nearly as much as is needed for a 74-meter throw. During the competition where Alekna set the world record, there were very strong gusts of wind at an optimal angle for a long throw. The longest anyone has ever thrown in a global championship was Ståhl last year and that result is nearly three meters off Alekna's current world record mark. It's safe to say nobody is touching the world record in Paris.

The 2:01 in the Olympic marathon is never happening. Unless that race is started at 6 am when it’s dead cool outside.

Well Femka is definitely breaking the 400m olympic record. I can almost guarantee Bolts record is safe there has been someone that matches his talent.
I'm cheering for EJ for mens vault from The Philippines
i dont think anyone is breaking Bolt's 100m record anytime soon, but 200m is breakable

Im sorry but Noah lyles will never beat Usain's time . No one will . Not even Yohan blake could beat him and hes the closest thing to Bolt
Pretty sure that was Degrasse 🇨🇦 in the 200
Noah Lyles has been stuck in that 19.5 zone, hasn't come close to besting his own 19.31 PR. So he probably doesn't break the 200m world record.
He ran 19.4 in london last year and ran 19.5 in the trials i don’t think he gonn a rhn anything slower than a 19.4 but wr unlikely
Might be some wr broken in paris but I don't think many. The likely one will be duplantis in the pole vault.
It would be cool if Eliud breaks his own record
Not his record Kiptum ran 2.00.35 in Chicago last year
