White Lightning 5.13b New River Gorge, WV

Yet another classic face climb at the New. This one starts with an enjoyable 5.11 face leading into a long V7-8 boulder problem involving hideously thin crimps and powerful side pull pinches. After this a heroic 5.11+ section up the headwall brings you to the chains.
I really liked the intricacy of the crux movement. I figured out how to get through the crux boulder in isolation pretty fast, but in the end it took a lot of footwork refinement to be efficient enough to stick the final deadpoint from the go. I would recommend this one if you like vert, just tape up your pointer finger for the steak knife crimp!
