Fantastic band!
He could afford the best and my God did he get them!
Tightest band bowie ever had
@@johnlewis5694 Too right, top class musicians!
IMO this song is perfection. ♥️🎼
Probably the best live version of Cracked Actor I've ever seen. Goddamn Bowie could rock.
I Agree.
David Bowie will always be King but that band really had it going on. This is one of my favorite concerts of Bowie.
Bowie at his snarling, seductive best with what may be the sleaziest, nastiest song of the Ziggy Stardust era. Amazing performance!
Earl Slick & Mark Plati are absolutely killing it on this track
Who is who?
Slick has the short hair, playing the clear lucite guitar. Plati is wearing a bandana and playing a white stratocaster
Don't leave out Mike Garson banging on the keyboards. He did likewise on the Aladdin Sane LP, which included this song.
Indeed, let's not leave out Gail on bass
this bass............the most'dirty' song of bowie.woooow
GAIL ANN DORSEY herself (on bass) is worth the price of admission!!! She can play it, oh boy, can she ever :)
She's incredible!
To me the beatles and david bowie are the greatest artists in the history of rock and popular music
I love atmmmmmmmmm0osphere of 7
bowie is better

Cómo solista el más grande.
Pero... 4 cabezas piensan mejor que una.
by Christ, how good is this version?! League of his own.
Been a huge Bowie fan since I was 10 yrs old. Yes 10 😫 and listen to all sorts of great music then go back to classic Bowie he just blows the rest out of the water. Pure genius 👏👏 P. S I’m now 60 and still amazed at his greatness 😪
This version rocks hardcore - love all versions obviously but never heard this one, it's amazing
My favorite. Miss him dearly. ♥️☮️🎼
2020, and this song still rocks! ♥️🎼✌🏼
2023 ..💥
2023 - it rocks
Gayle Ann Dorsey. Goddamn, she is everywhere and deservedly so.
Mike Garson looks like a kid in a candy store playing this.
This is the rockingest song I've ever listened to. Tight goddamn musicians...
Goddamn straight up! 🙂🤘🏻
Lol
Bowie brilliance...Band was tight! The drummer was stand out for me...Big tuuuuuune still in 2023✌
Ronson brought something magical to this song no guitarist has even been able to replicate.
💖🤘🏻🙌🏻
Wow all these yrs on and this still hits the spot. ..play it loud it'll knock ya socks off
Never seen this version before, my God what a band! Gail Ann Dorsey kicks ass on bass.
She always does!
2021 and IT DEFINITELY STILL ROCKS!
David Bowie 8/1/1947 - 10/1/2016.
"Aladdin Sane" was the first album I heard in 1973, and this track has been a
favourite of mine for over four decades. A wonderful version of a timeless gem.
Was it my imagination that Earl Slick briefly gave a snippet of "Raw Power"
which David had a hand in mixing?
You will always be a class act.....
That fkng band! Bowie always had the best musicians! 🙏
One of the best performances ever! David greatest , following Earl, Gail, Marc, Holly ......best stuff!
Few rock bands have ever delivered a live song so good as this. RIP |David
Has there ever been a better concert ? You who were there... unbelievable.... so happy for you... love you David x
Gail Ann Dorsey looks so beautiful in her luscious bare feet and she sounds even better! Exceptional version of this Bowie classic!!
Ok dawg
I Wanna Live Here
One of my Bowie favorites 👍
That girl when she smiles at 1:35 is the most adorable thing I’ve ever seen
?????
@Rudy Overlord she's a cutie and looks in good nick
After they just been singing bout giving head and suck baby suck no wonder she's smiling lol
@@snakemanpete55 Question is ... WHO was she smiling TO?
Perfection. Would give my left ball to have been there.
Amazing sound and performance. What a great band and Bowie is kills it with this version of the song …my favorite by far :)
Really like this version of one of my faves.
Mike Carson and the band! Great musicians! David Bowie on his best!
Mike garson genius !! 👍
Love Bowie ! This is Excellent ! Only seen him once but still listen to him daily ! Always have since he began !
the best version of this song out there, to bad it isn't on iTunes....... YET
Every time I see a Bowie's video I can't believe he's gone.
David, Mick and the rest......Just
KILLING IT!!! Man wished I could have been there, Thank you so much for Posting this Beauty........
R.I.P. DAVID. 🎸💚
Eternal Me,
Earl Slick played lead guitar here.
One of his best
God bless you David 😥👏👏⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⭐💫💙💙
Bowie not Elvis is the KING!!!
crack baby crack ❤️
sublime bowie
Le meilleur 👍
Je sais pas si tu l a vu un Taratata Bowie excellent ! la dernière grande émission de la tv française.
Oh david...great rock and i love you again...until the and of my Life
No disrespect to the legend Mick Ronson obviously, but guitarists Mike Plati and Earl Slick do a cracking (!) job here. Great version.
My played bass once for the girl(Emm Gryner) doing backing vocals and keyboard. His band opened for her at one gig and was invited to play one her songs. I met her too, but I was 6 months old. It's crazy she ended up part of Bowie's band.
Thumbs up to the BBC engineers and mixer, too!
It is superbly done, every instrument and voice sounds perfect
There was no Bowie guitarist better than Mick. He had the sound. When you heard him play you knew it was Mick Ronson
Mick was phenomenal.... So underrated and under appreciated!!!
was thinking that even before i read your comment there were 4 in the band loook how many now ? we were so spoilt back in the early 1970s wernt we
John Woods,
We were spoiled in the eighties, too. So many concerts.
For the OP, Earl Slick is on guitar.
I was going to ask if they were dissing Earl or didn’t know who he was, because he shredded that song! ✌🏼🎼
Mick was the ONLY person Bowie ever shared the stage with.
From the 70s and now it's 2022-- what a singer, band and song. Thanks David.
I like how at 1.30 he swings the mic round with the cheesy grin to let the fans sing the wee dirty bit
This is just fiiiiiiiiilthyyyyy
In a beautiful way, though.
@@beachgirl4583 Yup, just like dancing feeling the creeps
Bowie a time way above normal!!! Frikken Awesome!!!!
AMAZING
WHAT a band.
Beautiful
dalmatiansrcool - Yeah! I didn't know he did this song so late in his career since he voice got lower, but he pulled it off great!
cracked actor is one of his best songs no doubt
Love this performance
That's the best.
This arrangement is the sh*t!❤
It triggers my senses!
Ottima versione di " Cracked actor"!!!
Gran figo come sempreeeee❤
Fantastic!!!!
People in that room were so lucky.
Absolutely excellent
Fantastic in every way possible ❤ and that bass 🤘🌟🔥
Very, very talented and professional. And absolutely aware of this
My 2nd favourite Bowie song.. Quicksand will always be my 1st.. But what a cracking version here.. I love it.. The guitarist is phenomenal
I FUCKING LOVE BOWIE. END OF DISCUSSION
The only and 1st band I ever saw that required an Intermission. Only to come back and kill it even more. Bowie is missed.
Bowie is the only genius who can take to marvelous and back!
👍 si !!
For good information I knew you were always the man to go to and yes it's still a terrible loss as both he and Leonard CohenDid everything they could just to finish the last song on their album I haven't looked up the exact dates but I remember hearing an interview I Leonard Cohens Sun actually had to wheel him out to the studio floor with $0.05 electronics attached Galore just to let him finish his last tour and obviously it couldn't have been any easier on mr. Bowie indeed but the love of what they thought they should share was the most important thing that could be my hat is off to both of these artists because they definitely deserve to be known in history thanks GregI appreciate the tutelage
best recorded live album
This is REAL rock....the one and only David Bowie...love forever
BOWIE, MARAVILLOSO!!!!!!!!!!!!
love
Shes one of those that pretend we're living this song , send her my way , i always end up with the Cracked ones 😃
this is the best version band
That this is me? Yes, please!
Mike Garson are phenomenal
And today we have music that sucks baby sucks...
just fucking WOW in my headphones ..
best version band drives
YEAHHHHHHHHH...
Proof that Ronson was the thing that made him.
Some of the Bowie fans down front here would probably give out if one of the bands their teenage kids listened to sang a song like this 😁
Straight up they'd freak if cardi sang this
fucking rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I loved Trevor Bolder’s bass on the original live Ziggy recording but Gail Ann Dorsey i❤
the best
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm no musician and this sounds fabulous but cant help noticing that there is a plethora of musicians/singers here with the added benefit of modern technology. I think it still sounded better in 73 with Bowie and Ronson. Maybe i'm just an old cynic!
Earl Slick is a badass guitarist!
goes without saying the music is incredible . also love the cynical lyrics about hollywood because its so true . many people wrongly think cynicism is just an attitude problem . it can be but here and in many other cases its the truth .

Crack baby Crack XXXXX
Good version but I miss the harmonica riffing.
XD que wena cancion
"I've come on a few years from my Hollywood Highs"
First line,
What does he say in this live?
tori really curious myself I would love to find out somehow
daniel helbig ...” I’ve seen all the rest of the Hollywood highs” ????? Not sure but it sounds something like that.
Pretty sure he forgot the lyrics and just sang something that sounded right.
Oh no my friend, he wasn't forgetting the lyrics and inserting something else on the spot. Respectively I submit that a performer of this calibre and with this level of experience is highly unlikely to forget their lines, particularly when he or she wrote those lines and has (at the time of this concert), been delivering them for over twenty-five years.
"I've seen all the rest of my Hollywood highs" is an alternative opening line for Cracked Actor which he used down the years, for instance it can be heard on the David Live album - and that was recorded during the Diamond Dogs tour in July '74 when this song was less than two years old. He also at times sang "...best of my Hollywood highs".
Comparing Mick Ronson And Earl Slick / apples and oranges. Mick old school clean. Slick lots of distortion new school. Kinda love em both seen em both
Crack baby crack
& "smack" is all that you feel
It's like That line from stuck in the middle with you That says: "And your friends, they all come crawlin,
Slap you on the back and say,
Please, please"
Either someone Gets it or they don't lol
@@triplucid3563 lol. I get it now.
