These towns can be cleaned up all they need to be. However, if the locals don’t maintain and actively participate in the upkeep you get decades of this. Just because you are poor is not an excuse to have trash and mess everywhere.
Yeah but most of the ppl living in these poverty stricken areas didn’t grow up with good parenting that taught them morals to want to succeed so the kids look up to rappers and what not which is a bad influence which causes them to go to jail bc they want to be like them. It’s all a never ending cycle it’s going to take dramatic changes to fix these cities
What it boils down to is that the political parties are lining their pockets with the money that is supposed to be going into these areas. I have been exposing these videos on the political parties public pages. The cycle must be broken. These citizens deserve so much more.
I have considered making the investment. Some lots are less than 5k and I can get a 3/2 up for under 30k. Cash money then lease out make a nice profit after a couple of years. But then I think about the damage that was done to my parents first home when they decided to lease it and say forget it. And selling in not as profitable as leasing homes in these areas. Originally from New Orleans, but have lived in Baton Rouge since 1996. These areas of Baton Rouge aren't great, but not as bad as some areas of of NOLA. These areas don't represent the city, there are many nicer areas in Baton Rouge as well. I can't comment on Jackson because I've never been there, but I think the Baton Rouge footage is better than Jackson. Every city has good and bad areas, this can be found anywhere.
I love Jackson Mississippi no matter how dilapidated it has become. Many of the streets are being repaved right now. This is simply a manifestation of systematic racism. I've read some racist comments here so I'm compelled to say something. What do people think is going to happen when there's a 500 year headstart involved? The bigger question is where's our reparations money so we can rebuild it again?
Thank you!! They don't understand that slave owners received reparations but those who are American Descendants of Slavery have never been made whole by the country that's ours!
You're already getting your reparations to the tune of $822 billion+ a year, ( see this video if you want to see the numbers and data www.bitchute.com/video/lGpgvkf3THs ) courtesy of the White male taxpayer, who if it wasn't for said tax dollars you would be eating out of trash cans and garbage dumps, clothed in newspaper and sleeping in cardboard, coughing up blood from disease. Everything from Section 8, to welfare, to food stamps, to medicaid, to affirmative action, to minority credit and loans programs, you got it so good you all forgot what real oppression is like. All you people talking about how oppressed you are, like you were the ones getting hosed by water cannons and having K9s sicked on you in the 50s and 60s. Taking the credit for your ancestor's struggles like they're your own. Show me on your body the markings where your Master whipped you? A large number of these homes are abandoned. The mayor and council of Jackson have driven up the taxes and cost of living to be much higher than it should be. The city’s police department is corrupt and never gets anything done. At one point just a few years ago the Governor almost took the city over to help it, but the mayor did a few extra things and kept his job. Many of the people in Jackson are fleeing, only the wealthy who can afford private security are staying and the poor who literally can’t escape because they don’t have enough money to get anywhere. Jackson hasn’t been as bad as it is now since the crack days the mid 1990s. Jackson ain’t no joke these days.
Need that night footage for baton Rouge its another world at night

Never been around this hood in BR. What part is it in? I've only been through the hood close to downtown going towards the convention center and 13th Gate.
It was probably a really beautiful neighborhood before.
It was. I grew up in BR in the 70s and 80s. Got really bad when crack hit the streets.
God bless you and safe travels!
The Jackson doesn't look like this he's just showing the rough spots

I live in Jackson yes it does look like that. Its nasty. They keep electing chuck tard. That man is a criminal. Its never going to get better. City council is nothing but a bunch of criminals stealing money. They also run these gangs on the streets . One giant criminal organization is all it is. I feel bad for those that are still having to live there and can't move out. The tax base is gone and never moving back.
@Andrew Roman i don't believe that you have to start at home and work your way out. Nobody i know has the money to run for office in Jackson. These people have so much money and they keep getting elected over and and over. Term limits is what we need. They don't need to be there for a lifetime. Evil kings.

My dad's from Jackson but moved to Houston early in his life, we use to have our family reunions there back in the 80s and 90s, friendly people back in those days and the city wasn't as trashy as it is now, but I still love the city though.
I'm from Arkansas just a cross the bridge we use too have family reunion there too it definitely don't look the same sad!!
Yea Houston a dope place it got hella hoods like Jackson but it’s 10 times bigger than Jackson 4 th largest city in the us so it’s gone have a lot of nice places and bad places better than Jackson by far tho
I know EXACTLY where those hoods are in Baton Rouge lol. Funny enough, it’s literally a 5 minute drive (or 15-20 minute walk) to Louisiana State University! Which not too far from there are nice big ass houses near some gorgeous lakes.
Southern U is in the hood, too. I never understood that.

I wonder does Jackson not have any road maintenance crews? Because wow these roads are rough.

you gotta be more humble then that smh .
When you gone do charlotte hoods vs.nasheville or charlotte vs.raliegh
Yeah he should come to Raleigh
Those places are nothing compared to hoods in BR or Jackson
Its odd because a great deal of wrecked homes in low income areas in New Orleans were rehabbed and became even nicer after Katrina. Not here.
They were built with sub par materials and are falling apart now. Just had a deal on the local news about it. Also doesn't help that they aren't kept up.
@@sixsixST2 Well its very expensive to rehab old homes. The materials are sub-par ? I think its all simply old. With this pandemic crisis they could move in some new manufactured or modular type housing and provide loans for it. I can imagine that it might be hard to find younger people to actually want to stay in the area, though. House flipping rehabbed homes needs to be reined in as well. Its difficult to judge what should be done.
@@eddenoy321 I guess I should have specified, I was talking about those houses that Brad Pitt built with the Make It Right Foundation in the Lower 9th ward.
@@sixsixST2 Yes I heard about that. I have seen many fine renovated homes in low-middle income areas all over the city. Many are on pilings now with parking underneath. They really look good. Makes me feel good to see that. I am not sure which houses were razed and which ones were rehabbed. I think those on pilings were complete new construction. My old home is totally gone, just an empty lot, but the surrounding homes seem to be very nice. Better than I remember back as a child.
South south vs south south south south.
What happened to all the houses? Some falling down, abandoned etc. What's happened here?
Not sure if you've been to Starkville MS , I have family from there.
I went 2 MSU & liked Starkville alot! MANY great memories!
Our problems are not where we live and who we are. Our problems are who we become, the bad company we keep and bad places we go. First we need to clean ourselves up inside , Then work on finding resources to clean the outside where you live. Changes starts from oneself first.

There’s so many burned out and abandoned homes in Jackson. What a shame.

Yeah Baton Rouge is Zombie Town when it get dark
It's sad to see these neighborhoods just rotting, boarded up, burnt up.SMDH😖😭😢
The clips are so inspirational to the black culture it really reminds us that we are all living in the same conditions just a different city we really need to unify before it’s to late 😢
Shows how important it is to try the best you can at school, try to keep away from drugs, work hard and hopefully get through college with a useful degree when you’re young
Very true sister Tanesha. They say the world is a ghetto. We all are going through the same problems even tho it looks a little bit different.
Correct and dont kill each other!
I’m black, and I don’t live remotely close to those conditions. I grew up in Inglewood, Ca, joined the Air Force after high school, finished college as quickly as possible, and became an Officer. Retired at the young age of 38, and now enjoying life in my early 40’s.
Hard work, and dedication, is real. You can change your conditions.
@@JBrown-go8ru I'm so glad your hard work paid off for you and others can do it too. Clean up your own yards and if your neighbors are not able to do it help them. Take pride in what you do have. Maybe others will follow your lead
He turned around in the nice neighborhood and went back to abandon houses where noone stays
I’m from the state of New Hampshire and I am truly at a loss for words.
What I would genuinely ask someone is.. do these places have … state workers? Like where is the state and why are they not doing their job? It is the state’s job to tear down abandoned houses. It is the states job to fix potholes, rebuild bridges and keep public property maintained etc. Why is that not being done in these places? I’m simply genuinely
Curious.
The snow we just got caused a pothole on my street and it was filled within 24 hours.
Why is this not being done in these places?
I'm from N.H. also! 👋
The city of Jackson just had a conference on crime . The police chief didn't show up. WTF?

Originally from New Orleans, but have lived in Baton Rouge since 1996. These areas of Baton Rouge aren't great, but not as bad as some areas of of NOLA. These areas don't represent the city, there are many nicer areas in Baton Rouge as well.
@@jasminehill6312 thank you sister!
@@morreg09 Absolutely!
Show me on your body where the KKK riding on horses with torches at night tried to l y n c h you? Ya'll trippin. Better get back to work on that Democrat plantation before Masters Pelosi and Schumer come by and see you slacking.

Fam this look like you driving through Trumpville. Madd woods and trees.
can imagine the abandoned buildings are occupied by Zombies !!
I love Jackson, it’s just a short drive from my home, and I love getting to go into the city and help the people. I want to see the best for the city and it’s people.
