@@LFPman Well 99% isn't certain so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I swear, people act like anything over 90% should always hit. That's not how it works. If you were a good strategist you'd think of a contingency plan to avoid death on the off chance your first one fails.

Mikoto's death was sad because of how distressed Sakura and Ryoma were, but I think it would've hurt way more if you got the chance to know her and even have supports with her. Like getting to know Rhea in Three Houses. When I fought her, I wasn't ready for that music and hearing everyone hesitant to face her. And it only became sadder in battle to show you it's not a triumphant battle. Just a necessary one.

Xander firmly holds his sword and doesn’t let it drop even during his animation when he is defeated in battle. Yet when he accidentally hurts Elise he immediately throws it aside in shock and horror. I think that’s says a lot.

Mikoto’s death was one of the only deaths I didn’t care about. I think her OTHER death in Revelations was a lot sadder and couldn’t have happened if she hadn’t already died...but I dunno...you only know her for one chapter and she dies immediately in the next one...ah well, at least the rest of the game is better.
This song is what I think of when the little dragon gets killed in either game. I know it's tied to Elise story wise, but it's clearly a symbol of death and the following grief. If you read the early game dialogue with Lilith you'll know why I find her death particularly tragic.
