despite me not being an fire emblem fan, after hearing this soundtrack from Sophist's horrible act towards Vernias' birthday in Brent's video, I was in absolute shambles just by listening it at the end of the video on how well it played perfectly...
This story had so much potential. I don't blame the Manga writer because he wasn't the one who wrote the entire plot, just the outline, this goes to IS actually. If the game had more time in the oven in terms of thinking more on each scenario, whether it be expanding on plot points or removing the pointless ones, Fates I believe would've become one of the best entires in Fire Emblem's history.
True. I love Fates, it has my favourite gameplay in the series, especially in Conquest. But the story, man... it's so disappointing especially when you think about what could've been had IntSys actually taken it more seriously or had more time. Or better yet both. I mean, you can tell how much more it could've been because the story can actually make you feel things, such as with Elise and Xander's deaths in Birthright or Ryoma's death in Conquest, and the scene near the ending of Revelation with both kingdoms' royals together. I wish we could've had more of that; more emotion throughout the rest of the game, because they were absolutely capable of doing that.

This game is too cruel. You pick a side and get to know each and every one you side with. Then when you complete that side, you have to see how things play out on the other side and are forced to fight and defeat the very squad you fought beside. It’s so sad :(
This song always hurts more the second time around. I played Birthright first and grew attached to everyone, Takumi in particular. And then I played Conquest. Let's just say that the final battle took me two hours to beat because I was crying so hard I couldn't see the screen. (Spoilers Ahead) The way he moved was devastating. I don’t know why, but Ryoma’s death hit me hard. Xander/Elise was a sad, but a bit absurd, and Takumi in Conquest was just telling you to buy the other routes. Ryoma’s death just felt powerful like he maintained his honor while saving you the burden of killing him. I honestly thought Ryoma shouldn’t have gotten mad before the chapter. Then the 25 turn wait would make sense, and it would be a sadder fight because it truly is a fight from necessity. (Also you shouldn’t have been able to open the dueling chamber. )
I love Fire Emblem, and I also appreciate Fates, especially the Revelation Route of the game, because none of Corrin's siblings die in the Main Story! In Revelation, all of the Nohrians and Hoshidans join Corrin's army.

FE has been killer with the “sad tracks” ever since Awakening. It has “Don’t Speak Her Name!” and “Id (Sorrow)”. Fates has this, “Warmth is Gone”, and “Lament”, and Three Houses has “Unfulfilled”. “Farewell... my friends”, is okay, but not as good as the others.

Far from it, the story was... even as a self admitted apologist for this game was rather underwhelming, there was plenty of missed potential, it was very shady for Nintendo and IS to pull a Pokemon on this game, and we can talk all day about so many of the characters and maps... But you know what!?, despite all of that... fire emblem fates Birthright, Conquest, and yes, even Revelation will not only be among my favorite fe games of all time, but my favorite 3DS game of all time... I truly do love so much about this game, I love the gameplay, the presentation, the characters, the improvements to awakening, the music is the best in the series in my eyes, and so much more. Hell there were moments in the story and writing that I genuinely thought was really good, be it in the support conversations, any of the 3 main campaigns, or hell, even if it was something in my castle, the side chapters, or the DLCs, there were plenty of moments where I could say to myself, "wow... especially for fates, that was very well written". And even though I never really got to truly sink my teeth into it, I really enjoyed my castle and in hindsight, I argue fates handled hub areas better than three houses or engage in my opinion, it's a shame I never got to play any online matches though. I really do hope Fire emblem fates, alongside awakening, SOV, and several other amazing 3DS games see the light of day again.
Some of the Fates soundtrack really throws me off because it sounds like awakenings soundtrack. I'm pretty sure it's the same composer so it makes sense but makes the games hard to tell apart music wise sometimes.
Dude I'm gonna be real this game had so much wasted potential I hate so many of the story beats in this game and the fact that support wise you can find something in every character (except peri) makes it worse. The birthright route is probably the worst when it comes to this chapter I felt as if xander should have understood the choice you make especially since he knows that your not related by blood and in conquest it makes more sense and can make you feel something but I cant help but feel that this song is wasted on this game and its atrocious story

My lyrics:
0:15
The grand day has finally arrived
It is time for us to go to Castle Shirasagi
For a terrible and fated combat
Ryoma, Hoshido's beloved High Prince,
Awaits me and the Nohrian Army
In the Castle's Throne's Reception Hall
Where we were guided to by Azura
The time has finally arrived
To defeat the last Hoshidan sibling
And to win this bloody war
Against the pacific Hoshidan Kingdom
Inspired by feudal Japan
The thorn in my heart has bloomed
Into a frozen blue rose, it soft red
Petals congelated by this cold-blooded battle
Ryoma has challenged me in a private chamber
Where I was stuck during the whole combat
Until my friends and family defeated
The High Prince's retainers Kagero and Saizo,
Which allowed them to access the private piece to rescue me from
My brother's anger and attacks
Ryoma, O dear Hoshidan prince,
I wish you were by my side right now,
But you have decided to become our enemy,
And despite being depressed, I value your heartbreaking opinion
2:24
Farewell, dear Ryoma,
I will never forget you, because I love you so much and you are the best Hoshidan Prince ever
I hope you'll forgive me for choosing the Nohrian Kingdom over the Pacific and bright Hoshido
3:15
The thorn in my heart
Has become a burning rose
Its soft red petals
Reduced to scattering ashes
The ashes are blown away
By the freezing wind
To the sky, across the
Golden Sun and Silver Moon
Farewell, dear Ryoma
Your katana Raijinto will hurt me
It will electrocute my blood and flesh
Like if I were to get struck
By a stormy thunderbolt
A terrible scene in a Hoshidan Castle
Lots of blood spilled onto
The wooden ground and the paper doors
From the deceased Hoshidan soldiers
makes sense

Hell there were moments in the story and writing that I genuinely thought was really good, be it in the support conversations, any of the 3 main campaigns, or hell, even if it was something in my castle, the side chapters, or the DLCs, there were plenty of moments where I could say to myself, "wow... especially for fates, that was very well written".
And even though I never really got to truly sink my teeth into it, I really enjoyed my castle and in hindsight, I argue fates handled hub areas better than three houses or engage in my opinion, it's a shame I never got to play any online matches though.
I really do hope Fire emblem fates, alongside awakening, SOV, and several other amazing 3DS games see the light of day again.
what instruments were used other than piano :o
Strings (violins, cello, etc.) you can also hear a flute of some sort and a timpani. I also think there's an oboe. But who knows
@@z1ggy124 thank you i was really curious :D

Sounds like a synth is in there too.
Some of the Fates soundtrack really throws me off because it sounds like awakenings soundtrack. I'm pretty sure it's the same composer so it makes sense but makes the games hard to tell apart music wise sometimes.
It's also the same console, so the same songs that can come out of it
pure nastalgia
Am I the only one who associates this theme with Chapter 26 (Birthright) and Chapter 25 (Conquest) more than Chapter 6?
This plays on chapter 6 as well.
Basically the song of Guts vs Femto
Eh. I'd prefer Kirito vs Thot ( Quinella )
Nonamemon get the fuck outta here
This plays on chapter 6 of revelations
No, this plays on every and each chapter 6
This song is why I chose the third path.
Reminds me a lot of Id (Sorrow) from Awakening
first kill kagero and get the 10k gold. second phase just Open the chest with silence and kill ryoma
Pretty much Argentina after Copa America 2016 can be summarized in this soundtrack.
Dude these games need remade on switch 2 or a future console
Why wasn't Revelations better... 😔
I hated when lilith the dragon died, another reason why I chose path three.
I just couldn’t kill saizo I had to let him live

Dude I'm gonna be real this game had so much wasted potential I hate so many of the story beats in this game and the fact that support wise you can find something in every character (except peri) makes it worse. The birthright route is probably the worst when it comes to this chapter I felt as if xander should have understood the choice you make especially since he knows that your not related by blood and in conquest it makes more sense and can make you feel something but I cant help but feel that this song is wasted on this game and its atrocious story
But what would he say to initiate the fight? I feel like it was necessary for you to fight Xander before Garon because it shows his devotion to his land and father
@@JuBeoN it was only necessary because it's a forced plot convenience
Garon is literally comically evil and xander even acknowledges this is in conquest
There was no reason for any fighting to take play in any game that wasnt revelations tbh
@@noahh9043 I know, but I just feel like in the birthright route, you kinda have to fight Xander, and the point of it is to see the war from Hoshido's perspective, and I think they did a good job of that, the other 2 routes, not so much
@@JuBeoN xanders actions in birthright were purely for plot convenience and out of charcter for him
Dont get me started on THAT death either
@@noahh9043 Well it does fit Xander's character in a way. For one, it shows that nothing can get in his way with his devotion to Nohr, even if it does mean killing his blood sister.
WER HÖRT SICH DENN SO NE SCHEIßE 6MIN AN. DANKE CECILLIA!
bro wanna be broken bonds so bad 😂
God, I’m so fucking sick of the Party Crashers…
