If you liked this you gotta see her performance of this song in the ‘begin again Korea’ series that was recorded during lockdown. This series is where a small ensemble of known vocalists & a couple of musicians go out in to public spaces & workplaces to perform very intimate mini gigs in front of very small audiences ( because of Covid), they were essentially busking & you can get more ‘live’ than that. She also started this performance a Capella but unlike the version you have just watched, there was no band joining in, all she had was a piano & acoustic guitar. It was so untouched that you could hear the wind in her mic & also some of her mouth noises when she swallowed etc. It was such a tender performance, the like if I haven’t heard before. A performance that was sung sat down, legs crossed for the entirety on a very windy, extremely hot day on the dock of a steel plant. I think that this sort of setting really sorts out the good singers from the really great singers because there is absolutely nowhere to hide, but Sohyang soared in this performance. I know you that personal choice is sometimes the only factor in deciding whether or not one performance is better than another, so the fact that as a long time fan of this wonderful lady I prefer the ‘begin again korea’ performance comes as no surprise but what I want to suggest to you is that I appreciate you may not want to do 2 reactions of the same song on your channel but you owe it to yourself to check out the other performance, just for you. I saw how much you enjoyed this performance & after watching both performances you may still prefer this one but trust me, someone like yourself who appreciates the greatness of sohyang’s voice on a much deeper level than those of us who just know that she sounds amazing to our untrained ears & she makes us ‘feel’, would really be missing out on something special if you don’t at least check it out in private, just for you. Perhaps there are other singers that I can take a look at before I repeat the song again on the channel? I actually already looked at it when she performed on the ship for the sailors last year. That is the beauty of music though. You don't have to know what's happening behind the scenes to appreciate theEntire performance rather than focusing on the vocal technique.

It definitely wasn't through lack of wanting to look at her performances I can tell you! It was more because most of her videos get blocked no matter what I do but I managed to slip through with this one for the meantime

So Hyang is a cancer survivor and has been having battles with pneumonia for years. This performance is actually shortly after her recovery from a round of pneumonia and is nowhere near her full potential. As someone else said you really should be listening to her performances at Begin Again Korea. I also highly recommend her version of "Misty" if you haven't already listened to it.

So Hyang doesn't like to disappoint her fans and pushes through. I just don't think it's fair to judge someone in that case however it's your channel so of course only you can make that decision. I personally don't think there is a better singer in the world. I say that after six decades on this planet and having listened to virtually all of them. Sohyang is just so _excellent_ that I don't even know who to compare her to. And there is no need to compare Sohyang to anyone. She just is the best. And I don't even like the diva genre. I'm much more a blues and rock person but when I heard Sohyang sing "Bridge Over Troubled Water" three years ago I was flabbergasted. Literally. Ack! My heart pitter patters just recalling it, and all her other performances have only proved repeatedly that she sings like no other human being. And sometimes we, her fans, aren't even sure she _is_ human. 🤔🤷♂💘

please can you react to some little mix! their live version of "woman like me" from their 2022 tour is truly insane! they're so talented and need more spotlight from vocal coaches bc they all have impeccable live vocals, which is quite rare for pop music these days (and girlgroups). truly one of the most vocally gifted girlgroup of all time (and the 3rd best selling one too) you'll be blown away for sure!
