Joe is NAILING the intro on these videos. Thanks for going through the process and rescuing this game.
Joe sounds like Ron running low on batteries
I am running low on batteries most the time
Most of the time a pair of pliers is the fastest tool to fix things that are broke.
Scoring the plexiglass was *TRULY* everything I dreamed of. My life is now complete. Thanks for another great restoration video.
Thanks for watching!
I remember when neo-geo was released in Australia as a console. Games were around $300 each new. That equated to almost 4 times what a regular console game cartridge/disc cost for other consoles.
Pretty sure it was similar in the U.S. IIRC, the carts were the same as the coin-op carts.
That tinted glass/plexi is just a HUGE part of that authentic look to so many games. Makes it just look great.
It is sad to see them looking like that, but that machine ended up in a good place.
Love these Joe led video... Tell all the truths about why he can't say "it's broke". But it is good to see the finished "it's restored!".
Great job! I have no idea why I felt relieved the moment I saw the correct colored buttons on the panel.
hey nice to see you guys bringing another Neo Geo back to life..I bought my 2 slot from you guys years ago and it is still running strong!!!...Ive only had to replace one button. It was the 1st player B button. I am going to have to get me one of those tee shirts!!
That Turned out good.
I just rebuilt my cabinet a couple months ago. Too much water damage
I don’t even like playing video games but damn I am in love with these cabinets! I want all of them lol
That polished up real Nice Joe! Well done!
It's beautiful. You're doing the Lord's work bringing these cabinets back to life.
Great work, love to see stuff being saved have a blessed weekend.
Nice job Joe. What a transformation from wreck to classic. I don’t play arcade games but this game looks great. Outstanding!
Great vid, keep them coming, but I am still trying to get over you using pliers, even after we warned you 😂
Your real red looked real good. And the rest turn out fantastic. 👍👍
Nice repair Joe! Your original diagnostic was spot on!
Wow you do amazing work joe 💪 it’s literally a brand new machine.
What a fantastic job! The red is bang on, and the monitor looks great. It's amazing seeing this go from an empty cabinet destined for a landfill to a perfectly restored game!
Looking forward to the transformation of this one. Got my cheetos and in for a good show. It's sad how some people treat their stuff.
Bringing that back to life with quite the feat good job
Man what a gorgeous transformation!!!!!!!! Excellent work Joe!
Nice job Joe. I like your no nonsense approach.
Nice video. Although the Neo Geo SNK decal logo is missing the little copyright symbol. 😂
Great work. Neo Geos are awesome cabinets.
It's not Broke IT'S GUTTED !
I was thinking there must be an easier way of removing the side sticker. And then I said this isn't Joe's first Rodeo, he knows the best way. And then he explained it.
I enjoyed cutting plex glass for dummies, what about installing T-molding for beginners. I was wondering if you found any Christmas videos on the memory card?
Thanks for doing a video game.
Cabinet looks fine. It has a lovely patina. Fresh canvas. HA It's not BROKE it had a few coins. LOL. Always fun to see these.
Excellent Work Joe. Another one saved from the landfill.
Excellent Job Joe, it looks wonderful ❤
Saved that poor cabinet! Great work.
It was an ugly Duckling when you first received this Neo Geo Cabinet and now that you have restored it, you have turned it into a beautiful Swan.
Joe, your doing great! You and Ron sure complement each other.
Great stuff so far Joe… I’ve not watched further than you peeling off the side art yet, Looking forward to watching the rest of this one tomorrow. Regards
I would love to have a cab but the closest thing is a super gun and proud owner of a neo geo aes... the 1 in 161 carts have so many issues. The terraonion multi cart fixes that problem. Have you installed the unibios? Makes a huge difference. Also the joysticks are they made by happ? Otherwise nice job man... SNK FOREVER!
Great work saving this one Joe!
Thanks!
A labor of love ! I sold mine years ago and I regret it
It's perfect JOE.
Trash to flash! Great job! 😃
Those dual function imperial & metric combined pliers sure do work great! 😁
Nice to see Joe is not camera shy like Ronnie! Great job.
Nice job.
You could get a roll of red vinyl wrap, and wrap it.... Sort of seems like that's what it was originally, a red vinyl graphic sort of thing.....
Man, that came out nice. You'll sell that fast.
A good pair of pliers is a great thing. Doubles as a hammer too.
Love the intro.... you guys really have this nailed now! Hard to tell you two apart ;) Good evening to you too!
Very cool. Saving stuff from the dumpster!!
You know the guy that made the Neo Geo song, he had to sell all his cabinets to fund his short film and is pretty sad he doesn't have them anymore. I saw him talking about it on a live stream once not all that long ago.
"I forgot to tell you what's wrong with it "....... "Its Broken " 😂😂😂😂😂
No, no. Works okay, some missing parts.
If it were me, I likely would have done just the worst side. I know, it would be a job masking the bare wood on the one side to get the paint in the rest.
But selling a machine, yeah, I'd have done the same as you guys.
As for the overall result, I am impressed! I never doubted you guys of course!
Looks awesome! Great paint job!
Nice work Joe, game is going to look great!
I know what was wrong with it…it was broke! It’s not broke anymore though, it looks great!
I have the Australian 6 slot cabinet they are huge
You guys can fix anything. I cut my plexiglas with my table saw. Band saw for smaller sizes. Just go slow. No special blade. Leave the protective plastic on it.
I hate every time you paint them, but then they always look awesome 👌
Stunning!
WOW! Nice job guys!
10:30 I've literally used Snap-On tools to work on arcade stuff, it's what I have laying around. You don't need them for arcade machines, you need them for rusty 40+ year old cars from the rust belt.
Love it!! Keep it up!
Freaking awesome job! That thing looks like new!
that looks amazing - great job
Looks fantastic.
Looks great. You do good work!
looks new , really nice job
brilliant!! looks amazing.
The 161 in 1 multicart has been reversed engineered. You can now flash whatever games you want onto it, and not use the hacked roms that they provide.
Outstanding job!
Thanks!
AWESOME love the Neo Geo
Looks good
Can you do restoration work on larger deluxe cabinets? I think more people would subscribe if you restored a Sega R360 or a big After Burner deluxe cabinet with motion.
Awesome!
Hey man, just found your channel about a week ago. I am loving what you do. I’m kinda jealous lol
Thanks for watching Dakota!
Thank you! keep up the good work.
Wow it looks awesome now🎉
Cool game❤
Awesome 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👋👋👋👋👋👋👋❤❤❤❤
only hacks use SnapOn on arcade games. the pro's use Matco. the aficionados use adjustable wrenches from Horrible Freight. the technician uses the pliers he picked up at a yard sale 20+ years up for 50 cents. that Neo geo was brutalized, cannibalized. at least the cabinet itself was in pretty decent shape structurally
Awesome
Yes joe!!!
very nice! can i ask where you guys purchased the new cpo from?
QuarterArcade
Any problem people have with the way you do something is a 'Them' problem not a 'You' problem. If you are happy with the way you are doing it, then I say continue, the only time you need to change is if you feel they are providing good constructive feedback to a better way.
I've found pliers to be nice and universal, the only time I've really ever gone for my socket set is when the bolt / nut is in a stupid location that the pliers can't reach :)
Neo-Geo, Neo-Geo, four white buttons and two joy sticks, Neo-Geo, Neo-Geo, cool red cabinet, name that sticks~~~~ FTW
You got a Whirlwind!
What are the two circuit boards under the control board for?
They run the LED Displays on the control panel that shows you how many credits you have
@@LyonsArcade Thank you. I saw that there were some digit displays on the opposite side of the board once you turned it around, but I asked before that happened 🤦🏻♂️
Just needs a fuse bud!
Hey Joe!!
Hey Jason!
LOL they threw an old PC power supply in there. Just short the green wire so it can turn on. Easy source of 5 and 12 volts.
Unless your in love with press board of the actual game, why not have a bunch of sides, bunch of bottoms, tops, ect cut already? They all look very similar in cut and diminutions.
MATT & JOE, various switching power supplies for arcade games and pinball balls often can't "self regulate" without the motherboard CPU connected and other PCB boards, any reasons why? I think linear power supplies also had this problem that the voltage won't regulate unless the other PCB boards are connected. If you disconnect the PCB boards from the power supply the voltage will not self regulate giving the measure voltage a false positive measurement.
Bringing them back from the dead!
Complete NEO GEO
Noyce!!!
Its not broke anymore😂
use a heat gun to remove the decales
Old change worth money
Joe unbroked it.
AAAAHHHHH NOO :( i havent watched this yet but im going too, i hope you can fix it! I also hope you find the person who did this and cut off their toes and feed them to the wolves but just fixing it back to normal is ok too i guess
I need a stand up in my house
What dimensions is the glass, which is in front of the monitor, I have the same one, but it is missing!!!
Sorry if it's a dumb question... but in theory could you put a flat screen display in there instead of a CRT monitor? Ik most people want the original aesthetic, but some people also like a HD modernized arcade game.
I wonder what's on that 8 gig sd card...
A $3000 cabinet made of MDF...but then that was very much the norm.
The games themselves can be a great deal more expensive than a good single-slot board.
How much do these go for / are worth? I have found that I really like NeoGeo, I feel like it was ahead of it's time.
This probably in its condition 200-400. In better condition upwards 700 or more, depending on how many slots too
@@kevingerding4177 I think I found their ad for it for sale online, but maybe not. There's a 4 game unit for sale in SC on FB marketplace for $2700 :/
