Definitely all for a new stadium on the land. The structure is a century old and we’ve got logistical nightmares like the railway line when looking to build up the South stand. Yeah we’ve all got fond memories but at this point it’s like Trigger’s broom, the grass has been dug up and replaced several if not scores of times over the last few decades as well as parts of the ground being changed, Munich tunnel for example. As long as it’s on the same land it’s still Old Trafford and we should have the best club stadium in the country if not Europe like we used to have pre Glazer.
Exactly right look at spurs their owners just want money same as levy they didn’t have memory’s in their old stadium. West Ham fans hate their stadium just a huge mistake
@@RichardMason-gj9ue West Ham inherited an Olympic Athletics stadium that wasn't designed for football - with fans far away from the pitch and bad viewing angles and crap atmosphere. The Tottenham Hotspur stadium WAS designed for football, with the fans closest to the pitch and massive single tier stands that create atmosphere - and the club now have the best stadium in the UK, and one that rivals clubs like Madrid. Manchester United are a club of stature that should not have a stadium worse off than a club like Spurs, tbh - and that's no disrespect to Tottenham. A renovation job will never make Old Trafford compete against the best - it needs to be redesigned and rebuilt from the ground up.
Hello! I Just started to watch you videos some days back and I just love it! The entusiasm, details and banter you have in your videos are perfect! Keep up the good work! Love and support from 71° North
As a United fan I believe a new stadium is the way forward. Those who are stuck in the past will always opt for keeping the current stadium. But to attract the best players, get more capacity and have a state of the art stadium we need a new stadium, period.
How would we attract world class players? They wouldn’t spend big money on players for a start they’ll be paying this stadium off for 50 years. Everything in old Trafford is why it’s special man the Stretford end, imagine how sir Bobby Charlton felt seeing that stand renamed after him same with Ferguson that’s gone as soon as they get the bulldozer in. All them European nights at old Trafford is forgotten be careful what you wish for look at West Ham fans now they hate that ground.
You don’t get it do you how many times have you actually been to old Trafford I bet you’re younger than 20 I was there when the Bobby Charlton stand got renamed, I sat in that stadium big European nights it’s not about who’s got the newest stadium we’re shit now what does it matter if the stadium is the best? Why do you think liverpool never left anfield
Exactly course you can it’s greed over sentiment and thought Radcliffe was a United fan bet his dad would be really happy his son doesn’t care about the teams of the past or memories in that place it’s the threatre of dreams for a reason man
It’s NOT a 114 year old building!! There has been a stadium on that site since 1910 but the buildings have changed somewhat!! Oh and that was a Canada Goose on the canal, not a swan!! Anyway, I agree though - INEOS should absolutely build a completely new stadium on all that land.
The security thing is weird love this channel for looking at stadiums I might want to explore for myself. Its essentially free advertising for their stadium tours
I remember visiting OT as a kid in the 1990s when it was being renovated and expanded and was by far the best ground in the country. It’s now miles behind so many grounds in England and hopefully it gets the replacement it deserves.
I've been binge-watching your channel. Absolutely delightful 😃 I hope you do come to Portugal; ooh do i have a quirky ground if you do visit...José Alvalade Stadium from Sporting CP. It's quirky galore 😁 Wish you well, Ry!
Went to sleep with Paradise on full stream, wake up to paradise on full stream, and now a new episode… wow this is life! Just a little bit to much united right now tho… / Spurs Sweden
Worth noting that there is now a taskforce (which includes Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Gary Neville and Andy Burnham among others) who are looking at regenerating the whole Trafford area, including the stadium
Right. If there is a levelling up idea for my taxes to pay for a Wembley up north, it should be for all. And MUFC will have to pay rent in it and not make any capital off it. But if they build it themselves and own it, like Spurs, then fair enough. I’m not gonna finance Old Trafford to benefit MUFC, with my taxes.
Spurs received £100m of government grants. City were gifted a stadium paid for by taxpayers (ok, they pay a paltry £3m a year rent but they get to keep all income generated by the stadium), and lots of the stuff around the Etihad campus has had government or local funding. West Ham got a stadium at a token price that had been paid for by taxpayers (ok, again, they pay a paltry rent and get to keep all income). I don't think the government funding for the MUFC project will be for the stadium itself, but for the wider Wharfside project that the stadium district will be a part of.
I enjoyed the trilogy. I've only made it to Mecca once and I just hung around the stadium for 2hrs, this has given more to explore in January when I make my second pilgrimage, thank you. I'd like them to build it attached to Old Trafford, that way you keep part of it attached to the original. Build it off the Stretford End, and turn Old Trafford into shops or the training ground, the MU womens ground, museum.... Anyway, thanks for the suddenly excessive amount of United content 😂
I'm a bit mixed on this, but slightly favour renovation of Old Trafford. Also you chanced going down to the canal, surprised the canal pusher didn't get you.
If we knock that down the minute it’s gone we’re nothing it’s the threatre of dreams now what’s it going to be then the threatre of hope/losers. We can’t even win a Manchester derby anymore European semi finals we can forget that
This video needed a map showing where the current stadium sits inside the total land owned by United, and an overlay of say Spurs stadium onto the carpark area to show how the new one would fit in and what angle etc it would sit. Nice video anyway thanks ~
If they could expand the South Stand towards and above the railway, then I’m for renovation. Perhaps a new roof structure and fancy modern outer skin. But I can understand the desire for a new stadium. However, even if it does become the Wembley of the North, if we (united) got to a semi-final or final, we probably wouldn’t be allowed to play there as it would be our home ground and not neutral.
This is an excellent video - I’ve been arguing with people saying there is no way you can refurbish the stadium and end up with something that is best in class….there is simple not enough room to do it properly. Everyone goes on about the railway, but hardly anyone mentions the canal. It’s a new stadium all the way for me….I’m ok with it because it’s pretty much on the same site. We have got to progress, I went to my first game in 1972 and even the present ground is completely different from the stadium I first attended back then.
You're absolutely right. There are definitely pros and cons to building a new stadium 🏟. What you'll see for the 2026 FIFA World Cup is many of the stadiums have been built since 2000.
It hurts to accept that we need to leave the ground, but we all know it's inevitable. I'd prefer a Bernabeu solution. I just hope they'll put true care into a new design and not end up with a soulless bowl. Recreate some of the iconic characteristics of OT, the red bricks, the red neon signage, the dugout and similar tiering concept perhaps.
That’s it - how I look at it is if they did a Real Madrid - OT would look unrecognisable anyway so may aswell just carefully build a new one next door with all the history on show around the ground
Personally, the homely feeling of Old Trafford and all the memories we’ve created will never be beat, so I would prefer to keep the stadium the way it is, everything just goes away with a new stadium, however, it is needed.
Man Utd's Old Trafford Stadium known as 'The Theatre of Dreams' unique in style is the Super Bowl of stadiums & is potentially The best Stadium in the country, possibly the world. The Owners were the ones who stop the Original project by using the excuse of the rail track complications. As stated previously, the design has already been laid out for completion of the stadium by original designers, to finish before the train track but the owners compromised by installed the 3rd tier cos the fans were complaining about the capacity at that time. Alls well we like to think that once the owners depart or bring in SJR and his team we can address the layout for the necessary expansion of the South stand, East & West quadrant issue ASAP because Wembley or Man City's Etihad is to far to deal with the fan base, we're sure that can be achieved with minimal fuss, going by our walk around the stadium experience by observation. Take Note: The Stadium Expansion should Not Exceed the rail track. We feel in 18 month to 2 years copying Real Madrid project with the right people it can be achieved in line with progress on the pitch! Worth a view, please share!
What would happen to the old stadium if the new one is built next to it? Having two massive stadiums next to eachother would look very messy, not to mention the upkeep on two stadiums would be significant
So Everton filled in about 2 hectares of the ocean to begin building Bramley Moore dock stadium. But United can’t circumvent a 40 foot wide canal or a train station that from all accounts is not currently in use anymore. 😊 I mean yes - it’s a lovely canal. But where there is a will there is a way.
It would break my heart to see us leave old Trafford but i think a new state of the art 100,000 capacity stadium with safe standing and a designated fanatic section designed for atmosphere and to host other events is the way forward and obviously the whole area would have to be upgraded as well. The revenue would be crazy and i genuinely believe with the ffp and player fees and sponsorship attractions its the only way forward for us. there's just no way we can do what Barce and Real are doing with the houses behind the stadium. Old Trafford could easily be left alone though for the women's and academy teams to play in plus for tours and the revenue from our new stadium can help the up keep. The future is scary but exciting for us. GGMU
The New York giants, constructed their new stadium,(in the car park)literally next door to their now demolished stadium and continued playing there during the building work. It was an incredible site.
Absolutely should be a Wembley of the north, but it certainly shouldn’t be Manchester United’s stadium. Maybe locate it between Manchester and Sheffield, for a huge catchment area. Nottingham would be close too.
Clearly, looking at old maps, the stadium was built in the wrong spot. Should have been built where you are suggesting but it was stuffed into a corner of that area, probably not believing growth would be necessary. I agree, build the new stadium to the west, where it should have been to begin with. No issues keeping the name Old Trafford, it is historically correct as there were two Trafford Halls, one called Old Trafford Hall and one called.. well you get it. The Halls are gone but the areas names are significant and should be kept for a newer stadium, as will the "stand" names.( Still called "stands" even after Hillsborough rulings.)
Pretty sure there’s been plenty England games in are ground and you can easily make old Trafford 90.000 by renovating it. You don’t have to build a new ground to make 90.000.
They will build a new stadium because they can't sell the naming rights for for the current stadium they wouldn't get away with it. They'll build new a few feet over and they can slap the name of the highest bidder on it.
For me the only option is a renovated Old Trafford. Tottenham, Everton and other clubs afforded to move to a new ground because, with respect, the old ground didn't had a great history, certainly not one Old Trafford has. With the technology we have today, they can just raise the stadium from the ground, put it on wheels and move it 100m towards the parking lot and renovate and build around it, as much as it's needed.
I’m sick of people claiming it’s a 114 year old building IT IS NOT! that absolute bollocks. The vast majority of old Trafford is barely THIRTY years old. Please stop perpetuating this nonsense.
Following this and the work Tyneside Life is doing for a new Newcastle stadium. I think there’s a way you can check the Land Registry to see who owns land. I think ultimately, a new Old Trafford will go for a US style ballpark/stadium village style thing. Think what the White Sox are looking to do. Dare I say, that’s what Man City are doing. Public money, sod off. They can use their money for a new stadium. We will fund the access to the stadium to make money off the public transport system. Let’s see what happens.
We can’t knock old Trafford down simple as that imagine that day when sir Bobby saw that stand was named after him same with Ferguson that’s all gone in a new stadium
It’s not just that day what about sir alex how he felt, all the memories the celebrations and European nights, what will happen to the stretford end? Can’t just call a new stand in a new stadium that. It’s all well and good a nice shiny stadium but this isn’t the right thing to do. Jim Radcliffe is meant to be a united fan went to old Trafford with his dad I bet his dad wouldn’t be happy with his sons decision. We have to think we aren’t the old united anymore beating ac Milan 3 2, Roma 7 1, Barca 1 0 in the cl semi finals they are a million miles away now all that’s over
We need a new stadium Iver team's ate now holding 60 plus fans if we don't build a new stadium over clubs will pass uk .we can't get a match at Euro 25
Can’t beat Hillsborough Stadium 39.823k 28 fa cup finals World Cup finals in 1866 Europe 1996 2 League cup final replays Record almost 73k fans Sheffield Wednesday v Man City in 1934-35 season The atmosphere is still amazing the Sheffield Wednesday fans are the Best in England for me History
Do not get a new stadium lives are built around that ground, a new ground adds to ruining it for us locals it supports tourists I guess but we love it to much
We want an Expansion to approx 90K capacity, Modern refurbishment & a Levelled Retractable New Roof! There's an completed stadium design on WHF!🔰@UtdWesleyy with a comment stating: So apparently we are looking at an expansion of Old Trafford. It’s been talked about for years but put off because of the complications around the south section of the stadium but if we do manage to do it…🔴 2 Tier SBC Capacity: 88,000+ We're sure that can be achieved with minimal fuss by observation cos its already laid out going by our walk around the stadium experience. Take Note: The Stadium Expansion Must Not Exceed the rail way track! Worth a view, please share!
oh, then where will our gracious owner park their cars during new stadium development? we cannot let this happen, they should be able to park their cars, our bosses and players, and their wives need to park their cars. We cannot treat our owner like this :D
I know it is state of the art and all that bla bla but I really don't want Old Trafford to look as lifeless and soulless as the new Spurs stadium. It just looks like a hunk of metal.
You keep saying 140 years building no it not it’s been renovated many times in the history of old Trafford it’s been home ground to Man Utd for 140 years. Rant over.🤣🤣🤣
Phase 1 a) Build a new train station at E1 car park b) Rebuild E2 car park with 4 underground floors c) Like Ajax did, build over the canal for a new stadium approach with 3 hotels on top d) Rebuild N2 car park with 4 underground floors e) Replace lighting, electrics, pipes, and telecoms in 3 stands f) Buy and demolish 72/74 railway road to build a new bridge and stadium approach Phase 2 a) Demolish and rebuild the Sir Bobby Charlton stand and SE/SW quadrants (2 seasons) b) During summer replace all seats in 3 stands with new seats to match the new Sir B. Charlton stand c) Wrap the entire stadium with a new facade also giving more floor space within the stadium (Madrid's is disgusting, we could do better) d) Retractable roof New capacity 95,000 - Cost £1.5 Billion - Start June 2025 - Finished June 2028 - 3 years disruption vs New stadium 95,000 - Cost 2 Billion - 5 years disruption - 1 season having to play at another stadium
I was thinking of posting a sarcastic comment but then thought why do I and so many millions of us detest Man Utd? When they won the European Cup with Best, Charlton and Law they were really respected as a great club and I for one cheered them on. However now I'm hoping they lose every game. So what changed? For me I think it was in the 90's watching that smug Ferguson chewing his gum in the dugout. Very successful manager of course but no class like Sir Matt Busby. Coys 🐓
There's nothing wrong with the Old Trafford stadium that a bit if TLC won't cure. All it needs is the Upgrade of the Sir Bobby Charlton Stand & East & West quadrant to complete the original design & a Levelled Retractable New Roof + modern refurbishment of the rest of the stadium to warrant at least 90K capacity Take Note: The stadium expansion MUST NOT exceed the rail track! Please Share!
As Liverpool fan build new and 100,000. Don’t rebuild, Train station is the problem, you will get your money back in attendances with a 100,000 seat stadium, don’t be a Liverpool and thinking about the present, think about the future. Sad for me to say if you do do this you will be dominating football for the next 30 years
stop kidding yourself pal. man utd need a new stadium not a referbish old trafford. those of you who are living in the past what to keep the old outdated rusting stadium then you are doomed to failure . the best option is clearly to bulid a new state of the art stadium next to old trafford . it is time to create new momories for the future.

UNITED should build a brand new stadium like Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas but of course with a bigger capacity
How about in the nearest sewage works!
Building a new stadium is the best
A brand new and beautiful stadium will be the only way forward.
We need a new stadium
I dont know about a new Stadium, They need a new Team First !!
Fair point 🤣
They will build a new stadium because they can't sell the naming rights for for the current stadium they wouldn't get away with it. They'll build new a few feet over and they can slap the name of the highest bidder on it.
You'd be bringing in £250m through Matchday Revenue every season. Untouchable!!
With the price of tickets, don’t you mean every WEEK !
@@johnwalker6736 No I don't.
5:23 That's not a swan it's a Canada goose.
I should know growing up around countryside 🤣 school boy error from me
It has to be a 100,000 seater. Show ambition
Sorry… 🤭
Don't south would be perfect for most of your fans
Pls got faraham town there in non league and they are flying hopefully getting promotion lots of youtubers have gone their
Deffo one to add to this long list 😁👍🏾
It’s publicly accessible so don’t listen to security they can’t do anything about it unless they put a gate up so film away
Good points hadn’t even thought of that tbf
It’s not just that day what about sir alex how he felt, all the memories the celebrations and European nights, what will happen to the stretford end? Can’t just call a new stand in a new stadium that. It’s all well and good a nice shiny stadium but this isn’t the right thing to do. Jim Radcliffe is meant to be a united fan went to old Trafford with his dad I bet his dad wouldn’t be happy with his sons decision. We have to think we aren’t the old united anymore beating ac Milan 3 2, Roma 7 1, Barca 1 0 in the cl semi finals they are a million miles away now all that’s over
Build it in Slough or Essex and drop the Manchester bit, rebrand as glory hunting tourists football corporation
We need a new stadium Iver team's ate now holding 60 plus fans if we don't build a new stadium over clubs will pass uk .we can't get a match at Euro 25
Can’t beat Hillsborough Stadium 39.823k
28 fa cup finals
World Cup finals in 1866 Europe 1996
2 League cup final replays
Record almost 73k fans Sheffield Wednesday v Man City in 1934-35 season
The atmosphere is still amazing the Sheffield Wednesday fans are the Best in England for me
History
Hotel fookin football? Are they havin a fookin laugh mate😅😅
Gary Neville responsible for that I believe
It may be just me but I am suspecting the owners' promise of a new stadium is a PR hoax. They want to take out money for themselves. Not invest it.
Build a new stadium with a retractable roof
It’s a Goose.
The rest of London, more of the North East like Blackpool and Fleetwood. Sunderland. Get over to Italy with all their run down stadiums.
No no no!!!!! How can you consider knocking Old Trafford down?? All that history and heritage gone!
Why renovate a crumbling shell. A new stadium will be amazing.
Yep 😊🍻
Brand new .no brainer
Dump ctid 😮
It's time to build a new stadium just saying
Why would they get rid of that just cos all the money they have ludicrous 😆
Do not get a new stadium lives are built around that ground, a new ground adds to ruining it for us locals it supports tourists I guess but we love it to much
Fair point mate 😊
We want an Expansion to approx 90K capacity, Modern refurbishment & a Levelled Retractable New Roof!
There's an completed stadium design on WHF!🔰@UtdWesleyy with a comment stating: So apparently we are looking at an expansion of Old Trafford. It’s been talked about for years
but put off because of the complications around the south section of the stadium but if we do manage to do it…🔴 2 Tier SBC Capacity: 88,000+
We're sure that can be achieved with minimal fuss by observation cos its already laid out going by our walk around the stadium experience.
Take Note: The Stadium Expansion Must Not Exceed the rail way track!
Worth a view, please share!
There's no room in Manchester.
Trafford or London are the next best choices.
City Ground
oh, then where will our gracious owner park their cars during new stadium development? we cannot let this happen, they should be able to park their cars, our bosses and players, and their wives need to park their cars. We cannot treat our owner like this :D
Gee Italy is another story .. stadiums are so bad. do a Italy Serie a tour :-)
Rant over.🤣🤣🤣
Great News About Manchester United AM FORM WEST AFRICAN SIERRA LEONE 🇸🇱 E LIE BO
Phase 1
a) Build a new train station at E1 car park
b) Rebuild E2 car park with 4 underground floors
c) Like Ajax did, build over the canal for a new stadium approach with 3 hotels on top
d) Rebuild N2 car park with 4 underground floors
e) Replace lighting, electrics, pipes, and telecoms in 3 stands
f) Buy and demolish 72/74 railway road to build a new bridge and stadium approach
Phase 2
a) Demolish and rebuild the Sir Bobby Charlton stand and SE/SW quadrants (2 seasons)
b) During summer replace all seats in 3 stands with new seats to match the new Sir B. Charlton stand
c) Wrap the entire stadium with a new facade also giving more floor space within the stadium (Madrid's is disgusting, we could do better)
d) Retractable roof
New capacity 95,000 - Cost £1.5 Billion - Start June 2025 - Finished June 2028 - 3 years disruption
vs
New stadium 95,000 - Cost 2 Billion - 5 years disruption - 1 season having to play at another stadium
NEW STADIUM BUT STILL ,OLD PLAYERS ..LIDERLOFF,RASHFORD,SHAW( INJURIES PROBLEM ALL TIME)..AND ETC . 😂😂😂😂.
Coys 🐓
It’s interesting to hear others perspective on the Fergie era… 😁 I kind of wish we were hated again but now we’ve become a bit of a meme 🙈
@@RysFootyParadise Yeah, not quite so much hated now, more just the butt of everyone's jokes!
It’s time to move on from OT. New stadium needs to be built asap
There's nothing wrong with the Old Trafford stadium that a bit if TLC won't cure. All it needs is the Upgrade of the Sir Bobby Charlton Stand & East & West quadrant to complete the original design & a Levelled Retractable New Roof + modern refurbishment of the rest of the stadium to warrant at least 90K capacity
Take Note: The stadium expansion MUST NOT exceed the rail track!

Racecourse!
As Liverpool fan build new and 100,000. Don’t rebuild, Train station is the problem, you will get your money back in attendances with a 100,000 seat stadium, don’t be a Liverpool and thinking about the present, think about the future. Sad for me to say if you do do this you will be dominating football for the next 30 years
You don't sound like your from manchester.....
The glazers have ruined Manchester United.theyve robbed that club blind.my grandma Gerard Rogers suprted Manchester United.i miss you grandad Rogers.
stop kidding yourself pal.
man utd need a new stadium not a referbish old trafford.
those of you who are living in the past what to keep the old outdated rusting stadium
then you are doomed to failure .
the best option is clearly to bulid a new state of the art stadium next to old trafford .
it is time to create new momories for the future.
That stadium 🏟 looks rubbish 🗑
People have to travel south to London/ Wembley for internationals , finals etc because LONDON is the capital of the nation not Manchester.where’s the Wembley for the south west? Further from London than Manchester
Fair point mate 😊 I’d love a Wembley of Gloucestershire…. Cheltenham Town’s ground doesn’t cut it
No one can stop you filming on a public highway
