I stayed in a hotel within a 15 minute walk from the stadium which is very easy to get to from the airport just a tram to stop after trafford bar then to Exchange quay where hotel is straight across the road from it.
I love this channel, shows me the stadiums i really want to go to, specially Old Trafford and watch United play❤️ u should probably try this for every PL stadium. Good job 👍
It's only a small percentage, and they already inflate their prices so the discount negates that. It's basically the same as paying retail elsewhere with the membership discount.
It's okay, I've been there before. I come into Old Trafford from Salford and there's many different places top drink way before you get to the Cricket ground. So unless I'm meeting a friend there, I generally don't venture anywhere south of the Trafford pub.
Planning on going to an Old Trafford match next summer, Im a huge Manchester United fan that lives in Mexico and I just realized its really though to get tickets. Hopefully I can get some, thank you for the vid!!
You're welcome. Yeah tickets at Manchester United aren't the easiest to get. If you know you're coming next season, it might be worthwhile to invest in membership so you're eligible to buy tickets? Let me know if you need any more help.
@@UltimateBucketList I don’t know much about the memberships and I’m currently making my research on them, but will a lite membership (the cheapest one) do the job? I appreciate it
I hope you manage to get tickets to a United game - you'll love it here. Be sure to watch my other videos if you're taking a trip around London / Manchester etc.
Great information, thank you! looking at coming across the pond to hit up a game and did not want to be sitting with the away crowd. Would have never known. As well as the process for buying tickets is a bit different than out west. Glad I came across this video.
Yes, getting American sports tickets are very different from English football - especially the big teams like United, Livepool, City and Arsenal. I think it's because they're so popular (and the fans so violent) that they have to do it this way.
Appreciate the reply man, so lower north end sounds about right. Little more tame yet some cheering. Don’t mind paying since it’ll be since in a lifetime experience type of deal. So as long as a guy avoids that south corner where the away fans are. The corner opposite the Stratford end on the south side?
@@seganmansfield3071 that's correct yes. The South-East corner is where the the away fans sit, but honestly if you can get tickets to anywhere in the lower half of Old Trafford, your view is good.
great account of the old trafford experience, only thing i can correct you on for the normal paying fan there has been no increase for over 10 years & price range starts from £28.00. however this is for ticket holders. but great insight to the day out been doing it for 55 years myself. dont queue up at the blaze or the trafford go over to media city better bars & easier to get served i used to go in the dockyard every game when i lived in manchester (Eccles) but i now live in north wales & get in now & again i usually get a beer in the ground now which they have now reduced the price of a bottle from £5.00 to £3.00 so happy days on the concourse now.
Not for season tickets no ... but most of the seats are not season seats. My current season ticket (in the South Stand) works out at £44 per ticket. The same seat in member sale is anywhere between £58 and £63. A few years ago, the most expensive general ticket was £55. Member and general sale tickets have been increasing in price. So technically I was correct. If you want the cheapest way to drink - Tesco across the street, buy a case for £10 a few hours before the match (before they put the alcohol curfew on). Done.
Best way to exit Old Trafford on the tram is walk past the tram stop next to the cricket ground and have a ten minute walk down to Firswood, always go that way
Anfield and Old Trafford are easily the two most beautiful stadiums in English football, can’t beat either of them for their pure beauty and amazing atmosphere. Great video by the way, would love to go to a game with you as a Liverpool fan, would be a pleasure 👍
I'd love to watch a game there some day. I'm a United fan but I'm from Australia so it's a bit tricky lol. definitely on my bucket list when I'm in the UK.
You're welcome! Yes, there are plenty of places to get a taxi to/from the game, however they will be expensive as the traffic moves very slowly on a game day. My advice, use public transport and get there early, and leave as early or as late as possible.
Great video. Made my first visit to Old Trafford in April 2019 and can't wait to go again. If you are staying overnight, obviously there is the Hotel Football and there is also a pretty nice Holiday Inn Express across the canal in Salford...
Yes, those are decent places to stay. Hotel Football is expensive especially around matchdays, but if you're doing one of their corporate hospitality deals, it works out pretty well. Thanks!
I don’t like Man United but I learned a lot about the club from this video. My suggestion for a next review would be my beloved Chelsea. Would love if you go there. Nevertheless it was another banger of a video!
hey mate, I'll be coming to manchester next year should I buy my ticket through online or just trying chances to get a ticket on matchday and maybe it's vs west ham
I think if you're coming all that way, just follow the process. Get membership and then apply for West Ham tickets. They release them at certain periods. If that fails, there are always ticket outs trying to flog you tickets outside the ground, but you will get ripped off.
Took my son to the MEET A LEGEND tent.....and inside was DAVID MAY.....I was buzzing and my son was having none of it......dad who is he ....son he won the UCL but sat on the bench.....then he doesn't matter then does he......I threw a right strop
No way! I must admit, David May isn't the top of my list, but he was still a decent player back in the day. Remember when we signed him from Blackburn.
hey there, thanks for this video. i myself managed to snap up two tickets in this tier N4405, first row for next season games against luton and bournemouth. however i wondering if i will get a full view of the pitch when seated, or will the handrails slightly obstruct it 😅
Hi, well done for getting tickets! NN4405 is right at the top tier of the North Stand, and out of all the stands up there, you've probably got probably the best seats available. You'll get a full unobstructed view of the pitch on the front row, but you might find that you're a significant distance away. If the railing is in the way, just lean forward so your head is over the railing ... problem solved. 😀
cheers mate, when i first set foot outside Old Trafford as a boy in 2010, told myself I will be back to watch a game. Well, fast forward to years later, had the chance to do my masters here and of course wanted to catch as many games as possible. So far the record stands as 4 games 3 losses 😅
Quality videos, man. I just discovered your channel now, I missed football and decided to search for stadium tours. Keep it up (hopefully after this pandemic is over)
@@UltimateBucketList killed a lot of quarantine free time watching a lot of your videos. As a fellow United fan, my fave was the Anfield tour. The looks on their faces seeing you wearing Utd shirt is priceless.
Fantastic video my friend, I was over at the Partizan game. It's a must-do. The place is magical. It was so good to see some old sites on this video and also learning new things. I didn't know about the lowry shopping center. I didn't know you could meet a legend also. Where is that? Where also are they building the new metro stops? I didn't see them actually. Yes, there is a lot of stairs, I was in N42 plenty of stairs.
Thanks, I appreciate that. - The Lowry shopping centre is across the bridge over the water, across from the Imperial War Museum. It's a cool place to hang out before the games especially if you don't like the hooliganism vibe that you get at the other pubs. Plenty of places to eat and drink in there. - Meet a Legend, right next to the ticket office, northwest corner of the stadium. - They're building new metro stops on Trafford Wharf Road and/or Wharfside way - which is a lot handier to use than some of the others. I suspect it'll be packed though. - Those stairs man ... there's a lot!
@@UltimateBucketList Awesome, I shall check it out next time I'm at Old Trafford. Oh yes, I know it now. They didn't have that when I was there for some reason. I actually was near Trafford Wharf as I was in the Trafford center that day also. Oh yes definitely, Old Trafford is good but the rest is a bit far away. You've inspired me to make a video on what it's like to go to a GAA match. You should definitely do a video on going to a match as an away fan
Thanks for your video mate. I’m from the Netherlands and i’m going to manchester united - barcelona in februari. Any tips how to get from the airport to the city center/stadium. Is it expensive to get a taxi or is it better to just go by train. I reckon the popular pubs will be packed this day, any reccomendations on a good local pub which won’t be that packed? Already heard that you shouldn’t go to three legs of men as an outstander. Greetz
Thanks for stopping by, hopefully you've found this video helpful. 👍 The two fastest ways to get from the airport to the stadium is a) Taxi - this'll take 20 minutes, but it'll cost you quite a bit of money, as taxi's are not cheap here. b) Use the trams (called the 'Metrolink'). There's a tram station at the airport and you'll need to take it to a station called 'Trafford Bar'. Takes 30-40 minutes and it's relatively cheap (about £3-£4 single journey). Pubs: every pub within the vicinity of the stadium is packed. The worst queues are at the Bishop Blaize and the Trafford, so try the OTSC at Hotel Football. If you still want travel advice for Manchester, check out my Manchester Complete city guide right here: ruclips.net/video/2MKsojrPVxk/видео.html
Hey mate, not sure if you will see this, but just wanted to ask where the best pub would be to watch a Man United away fixture in Manchester? Do most pubs show it?
Hi pal. To be honest, most pubs in Manchester will show City and United games, as it's a massive earner and brings people to the pubs. If you want a safe environment surrounded by United fans, find a typical United pub like The Bishop's Blaize or even Hotel Football.
Yo man. Great video. I'm going to Old Trafford for the first time, to watch Man Utd - Everton in a couple of weeks and I'll defo use some of your tips!
I’m trying to visit for the Everton game in November coming from the United States. Is it really hard to get tickets and are hospitality tickets my best bet?
Tickets are generally hard to get anyway, even for members. United generally sell tickets in various releases throughout the year if you're a member. Believe it or not, the initial ticket release was this Tuesday morning, so you could have had some good ones if you logged in on Tuesday. Most of the general sale tickets have gone and there's only hospitality tickets left. If you're not a member, hospitality is probably the only way you'll get a ticket without going on the black market. Hoper that helps?
@@UltimateBucketListthis does help, you’re awesome. I became a member on Wednesday 😂. I’ll wait and see if I can get tickets next time they release but if I get too nervous I will just purchase hospitality tickets.
They've been wanting to do that for decades. The problem is the existing train line and the houses directly behind the south stand. United would effectively need to buy them all and move the train line somehow. Or find an ingenious way to build around it.
Yeah Wes Brown was a nice guy. I've met his wife before, so we were talking about her and his kids rather than football. But yeah, this happens on most weekend match days. Most of the time I don't bother, but for videoing purposes, I thought it'd be cool to add that in.
On the topic of it being cold I sit in the executive area on the north stand and the north stand is best on the second and third tiers on the first row due to the fact that there is a wall that works as a wind block
Yes, that's true. But that's only the first row ... there's plenty of other rows that don't have that. I just got a ticket to South Stand again. Very happy with the location.
Hey as a match going fan, I did enjoy your video... it was pretty thorough. However, your tip about leaving early is almost scandalous. Would you leave the cinema 3mins before it finished or the theatre even??? Surely as a fan it’s about supporting the team for the duration and not being worried about being stuck in traffic. I’m pretty sure if there are any day trippers watching this video, who are planning to visit O.T. it’s probably for their first time. I’d strongly advise staying til the end. You also advise that the megastore prices are a rip-off but the street vendors are poor quality.... hmm? Anyways, overall I enjoyed your video. Keep up the good work!!!
Well, that's just my opinion and I'm entitled to as such. As a season ticket holder, I missed the grand total of 1 goal because I decided to leave in dead stoppage time. One. And it didn't matter to the scoreline. If 3 minutes is the difference between spending 45 mins to an 1 hour being stuck in traffic (for a 1 hour drive home), I'd leave every single time. Tourists can stay if they like. People who live nearby can stay if they like. For busy people with better things to do than be stuck in traffic, this is a solid suggestion. Yes, Megastore prices are a rip off. Street Vendors are poor quality. You want proper merchandise? Go to a normal retail store, like SportsDirect or JD. That's what everyone else does. And thanks.
Pretty terrible! You'll have to leave a little early before the game finishes, otherwise you won't be able to get onto any tram or road that'll take you to the airport. Hope that helps?
hi mate I'm a fan but I've always been worried about visiting the stadium due to noise levels that could damage hearing. Is that an illogical anxiety or do you think there is some possibility of tinnitus etc
You've got nothing to worry about ... Old Trafford is a quiet place unless you're sat in the Stretford End ... and even then, it's not so bad. You'll be absolutely fine, hearing wise.
best place to sit is top tier in stretford end, however, i am 4 rows from the front in the east stand for the city game on tuesday, hopefully the atmopshere isnt horrendous.
The atmosphere may be good, but the sightlines are terrible. I gave up my season ticket in the Stretford End. I'm on the halfway line North Stand for the City game. That should be decent.
@@UltimateBucketList For me the atmosphere is one of the main reasons i go to go games which is why i always sit in stretford end. I've never actually sat in the North Stand.

I’m a big fan myself and knew all these things before, but you explain it all so perfectly! This is like stuff you could show at an exam! It brilliant! - Kind regards Oliver
Thanks Oliver, I appreciate that!
I'm not as regular as I used to be due to the whole no season ticket thing. But I do buy single tickets for games sometimes. I'm at the game with City on Tuesday night, North Stand lower, about halfway line if you're looking out for me!
I actually went to this game on a VIP tour, great experience.
Yeah, the VIP experience is fun.
I stayed in a hotel within a 15 minute walk from the stadium which is very easy to get to from the airport just a tram to stop after trafford bar then to Exchange quay where hotel is straight across the road from it.
Cool, I must admit because I live around here, I don't have much experience of the hotels. But yeah, it's an easy place to get to.
I love this channel, shows me the stadiums i really want to go to, specially Old Trafford and watch United play❤️ u should probably try this for every PL stadium. Good job 👍
Thanks. I probably won't get to go to every stadium - but yeah it's worth a shot.

One thing I will say as its always helped me, buy a membership with the club so then that way you can get a discount if you buy at the megastore
It's only a small percentage, and they already inflate their prices so the discount negates that. It's basically the same as paying retail elsewhere with the membership discount.
Also the quadrant is a good pub which is the other side of the cricket ground
It's okay, I've been there before. I come into Old Trafford from Salford and there's many different places top drink way before you get to the Cricket ground. So unless I'm meeting a friend there, I generally don't venture anywhere south of the Trafford pub.
We used to park that way as easy to get away via chorlton
I'm going to watch the greatest club in the world in April v Southampton. Museum Suite. I'm so excited and can't wait. Cool vid.
Cool, hope you have a good time.
The Museum suite isn't too bad - not a bad way to watch a game?
Makavelli77 so if you’re seeing the greatest club in the world, we know that you’re not seeing Manchester United.
I appreciate it
Yes, the Membership Lite is the bare minimum you need to be eligible to buy tickets.
Tysm this video was amazing and it helps me so much because I’m in Australia and we are going to England to watch a game because we will be on holiday
I hope you manage to get tickets to a United game - you'll love it here.
Be sure to watch my other videos if you're taking a trip around London / Manchester etc.
Thanks for the in-depth video! I hope I can make a trip out there some day.
One day you will Enrique ... and I think you'll have an amazing time!
Be sure to check out my videos for more like this :)
@@UltimateBucketList perfect, appreciate it man, def needed that info. Thanks again and enjoy the year!
@@seganmansfield3071 you too bro!
great account of the old trafford experience, only thing i can correct you on for the normal paying fan there has been no increase for over 10 years & price range starts from £28.00. however this is for ticket holders. but great insight to the day out been doing it for 55 years myself. dont queue up at the blaze or the trafford go over to media city better bars & easier to get served i used to go in the dockyard every game when i lived in manchester (Eccles) but i now live in north wales & get in now & again i usually get a beer in the ground now which they have now reduced the price of a bottle from £5.00 to £3.00 so happy days on the concourse now.
Done.
Great video I’m w Man U fan who goes to more or less every game cmon United
Thanks! And I try to go to most games, but recently time has gotten the better of me.
You should come to Celtic park for a match day the atmosphere is electric ⚡️ 🍀
Sure! If someone can give me an Old Firm ticket for free!
I take the train to Trafford bar stop and walk the rest of the way. About a mile but you get the atmosphere 👌
The new stop at Wharfside is the easiest tram stop now.
Glory, glory, Man United!😁
Thanks for the video!
Indeed!
Have you visit Allianz Arena? The home of Bayern Munich or Signal Iduna, the home of Borussia Dortmund.
I'll probably do those two towards the end of the year.
Best way to exit Old Trafford on the tram is walk past the tram stop next to the cricket ground and have a ten minute walk down to Firswood, always go that way
I'd say you're correct, though I've never been that way myself.
Anfield and Old Trafford are easily the two most beautiful stadiums in English football, can’t beat either of them for their pure beauty and amazing atmosphere. Great video by the way, would love to go to a game with you as a Liverpool fan, would be a pleasure 👍
They really aren't. There's a lot of other stadiums that are far better looking than those two. Good places to watch football though.
Easily Spurs
I'd love to watch a game there some day. I'm a United fan but I'm from Australia so it's a bit tricky lol. definitely on my bucket list when I'm in the UK.

Thank you for the video 🎉…..got vip tickets in October and it’s my first visit here…are there any cabs to get to and from old Trafford?
Thank you
You're welcome!
Thanks!
you should go to an afl game at the mcg...when the afl season starts again
I'd love to. Go Bombers!

I don’t like Man United but I learned a lot about the club from this video. My suggestion for a next review would be my beloved Chelsea. Would love if you go there. Nevertheless it was another banger of a video!

Hi ultimate bucket list i loved your match day experience at old Trafford keep up the fantastic work
Thanks, I'll try and do more interesting stuff like this :)
That last bit with Wes was damn hilarious!
Yeah, he wasn't having it!
Would love to go back to Old Trafford one day.
It's probably not changed all that much since the last time you went.
hey mate, I'll be coming to manchester next year should I buy my ticket through online or just trying chances to get a ticket on matchday and maybe it's vs west ham
I think if you're coming all that way, just follow the process. Get membership and then apply for West Ham tickets. They release them at certain periods.
If that fails, there are always ticket outs trying to flog you tickets outside the ground, but you will get ripped off.
You should come to the states. I’d say Portland Timbers is a great suggestion as I’ve been a few times and sitting with the Timbers Army is amazing
Yeah, I'd love to!

Merchandise has a big history of relationship with Manchester United.
It does.
One thing is sometimes don’t leave early as u might miss a goal such as McTominay’s goal vs City
Maybe. But that's two late goals in two seasons at United. Hardly worth being stuck in M60 traffic for.
Ultimate Bucket List fair enough I just wanna never miss a goal
hey there, thanks for this video. i myself managed to snap up two tickets in this tier N4405, first row for next season games against luton and bournemouth.
however i wondering if i will get a full view of the pitch when seated, or will the handrails slightly obstruct it 😅
Hi, well done for getting tickets!

The two fastest ways to get from the airport to the stadium is
a) Taxi - this'll take 20 minutes, but it'll cost you quite a bit of money, as taxi's are not cheap here.
b) Use the trams (called the 'Metrolink').

I know I said this already but please do a boursia dortmund tour or Istanbull teams like Beşkitaş,Fenerbaçhe and Galatasaray
I know you did ... but I need money and time to do these things!
Ok
I reccomend not leaving early you can clap the players of the pitch and celebrate with all the other fans chanting till you leave
Each to their own I guess?
Do you know if they plan to increase the stand opposite you to another tier? it looks a bit asymmetrical to me at the moment. Cheers. Best wishes
They've been wanting to do that for decades. The problem is the existing train line and the houses directly behind the south stand. United would effectively need to buy them all and move the train line somehow. Or find an ingenious way to build around it.
Great video Ninh although I’m a Chelsea fan! That’s cool you met Wes Brown. Was he a nice guy? I’ll look forward to the next football related video!

It's Manchester United, leaving before the final whistle will easily get you missing a great goal or even a historic moment (Camp Nou, Paris etc)
Last season, as a season ticket holder I missed one goal.
I'd rather miss that then 855 minutes of being stuck somewhere.
What a great stadium
It's nice, but there are better ones out there.
And thanks.
Thanks, really useful because me and my mates are planning to go to the Grand Final if Wigan make it and we're only 14 so awful with travel

hi mate I'm a fan but I've always been worried about visiting the stadium due to noise levels that could damage hearing. Is that an illogical anxiety or do you think there is some possibility of tinnitus etc
