Nice work mate. Next time try running a hook straight through the middle of them all attached to anything silver and shiny. I once even made up a rig with just a tea spoon.
They’re not gonna bite with you standing on top of them in crystal clear water talking as loud as you are. They watched you drop the lure in, there was no chance they would go for it.
Feel like they're more interested than fucking than eating. Not a salt guy, but fish stacking ontop of one like that is spawning behavior in some species.
@@Tikimohn They spawn offshore. That's a resident dock pod. They know he's there. Instant lock-jaw. Even with free-swimming live baits. They ain't dumb.
When they aren't eating, they aren't eating. Nothing you can do to change them. I've hooked up on accident, fishing for snook, never been able to get one to take live bait or lure intentionally.
In this case def use gulp shrimp(white) a tiny lil jig head and cast like 50ft past them bc they know it's fake if they watch u drop it in the water! I've caught tons of tarpon like this with Gulp shrimp and white is the best color
@@urbanfloridafishing tarpon fishing is a whole different thing, I'm in Central Florida I live on a barrier Island and during the summer we have so much opportunity right across the street on the beach. Definitely you can hook into something that's 100 lb. Strong hooks and you always want to file the sharpest point on them you can, 80 lb flouro shock leader. .. cut your leader about 2 ft did everyone foot of length for the fish you're targeting. We fish mostly live bait or 7 inch tsunami swim shads. 12 ft two-piece rod, with a 6000 series spinning reel..... Have fun good luck
First hour of sunlight and last hour of sunlight is the best time
Looks like you’re outside tarpon feeding times. They mostly bite in the mornings or super late hours when the tide changes
Spot on assessment
I wouldn’t even bother in that situation. All you’re doing is giving another one of them a lure to swim around with.

Those penn fierce and pursuit LE rods are legends
Bro with that rod you ain’t landing one of those.
We're about to catch a giant tarpon on this medium light rod...... and 3k size reel
Would've broken his rod and/or spooled him, dude is a newbie
If you actually thought you were gonna land of those fish you are a GOOGAN
Cool spot dude. Not bad for civilization.
If you get a little closer, just jump in and grab one.
or a spear but not very sporty
Where is t this exactly?
Boca inlet?
Looks like somewhere in the Keys
I’m in south Florida and that looks really familiar?
Hunting beautiful
What rod is that i love that colour
Are you the fz150 guy
Bro those tarpon were laughing at you….u need a rlly long15lb flouro leader and a pilchard….boca inlet is my hometown
"adrenaline in my soul"
Tarpon like less stow action baits try a straight tail or the doa troller is the best
What size pursuit are you using ?
not big enough for tarpon lol
Boca Inlet is 🔥🔥
They look like giant shinners
I used to watch this remote pilot at night fly casting to these huge barramundi in Australia 🇦🇺 he said iv hook about ten to date 😂but landed none 😂
Yap👍 catch👎
Gulp shrimp, tiny jig head, and a 5ft or longer leader.
I’m not an expert but I’m pretty sure the hook should be facing up and not down
Very irresponsible to even try. Impossible or near impossible to land a fish here.
Buy a casting net mate
Massive
Thay seen you not Happing
Its hard to get those bastards to eat lol
Spawning behavior?
Possibly or dock pets
Just on dark they fire up
That was never going to work anyway with that set up.
You're going to be serious about hooking and landing a tarpon, you got to get in a boat or on a beach. You definitely need some stronger gear as well
I have bigger gear I just didn’t have it with me

Definitely do not need a boat to catch a poon
Spawning fish
u need some live bait my dude
Live Bait bro or top water spook
No way you were going to catch one when they're acting like this. Learn to read the water, weather, pressure changes, etc.
You were doing nothing if you hooked one. Besides losing your bait and leaving a rig in a fishes mouth.
broken rod and getting spooled
Live bait friend. Sand perch
I think your setup will not capable of landing the Tarpon
I'm from Marathon FL. Put on a mullet head
Keep trying, right spot🎉
Throw a Fly next time
Your bait is way too small....a giant doesn't eat a shrimp
I fuck with his rod
Talk about a wast of time🙄
Really? Worst video
So much trash floating around, really sad.
You ain't reeling that fish in with that little ass reel and rod dude sell your story somewhere else.....😂😂😂😂😂
