    Good tutorial kept it simple and I definitely will use the hold string left - right method times 8 with the 3 overhand knots thank you 👍

    Appreciate the threading tool tip. I just made my first band set last night with some small micro BB pouches from simpleshot, had a hard time getting the bands through the pouch holes.

    Thanks so much. I have shakey hands and not great eyesight for small detailed stuff. Bought a jig and still cant tie but after watching your video I’m going to make myself a little tool like you have to thread it through. Cheers man

      @@Mikeypaulslingshots been looking at places that sell already tied ones. I’m disabled so some things are extra difficult. Just watching your video made me see where I’m going wrong. RUclips at its best. I’ve subbed .

    I’m terrible at handsets too, but I use the the two Pony clamp tied to each other with paracord method like Can Vandal showed on his RUclips channel

      I thought that method from CanVandal was so Genius! I went out and bought 2 clamps that day no joke...

    Interesting. Initially crystal string would always undo itself on me. I found it was like fishing line when you tie an overhand knot. It wouldn't bind on itself and eventually work itself loose. I went with amber belt and didn't have trouble with it, other than keeping a grip on it as you mentioned. Sourcing amber belt became a problem. I can only get it from simple shot. In Canada the shipping hurts unless I'm including it in a larger order, which isn't very often. I can get crystal string on Amazon, which I order from every month.
    I lay the beginning part on top of the band pointing towards the pouch and do my wraps over it, binding it in place. I give that piece a tug mid way through to keep it tight.
    I then lay a loop of string on top and do two wraps over that. I pull it under itself away from the pouch. Wrap and tuck with crystal string. That seems to work with no problems and it is faster and easier than amber belt. I found the two wraps for finishing and the direction of pull is important. One finishing wrap can undo itself and pulling towards the pouch causes it to bunch up and ride up the pouch edges leaving me with a mess. Although that's only a problem with my really thin pouches. Still, they can end up uneven with thicker pouches, so pulling away from the pouch is the solution.

      Hmm…I have never had Crystal string Come undone on me when I tie it the way I do in that video. Also crystal string comes in different sizes. I use 1 mm. Make sure you use at least 8 to 10 wraps and I use three overhand knots to tie it off. And I make sure I lube it with saliva before I tie so it doesn’t break.

    How many shots did you get before the band set broke?

    • @Mikeypaulslingshots
      @Mikeypaulslingshots  Год назад +1

      I get more shots with crystal string then I do any other method. The thickness of your bands will determine band life also, thin bands break faster than thicker bands.
