“ say hello to my little fuel “ Haha Thanks for the laugh man, and the instructional video. Needed both of those things right now. Slowly have become a mechanic over the last two years owning fords. First a transmission and now this little guy!
before changing the Pump, find the " Fuel pump Driver module " easy easy fix , found near the spare tire on E150 and F150 I changed the pump and it was not needed . dont cut a hole in the floor, its not too bad dropping the tank.
@@tracyjett1399 not if you want to keep the seat. And it would be 8 bolts, 4 brackets, if you take it all out. Add the reinforced area of the floor you have to cut.
Just bought my new baby and my codes are reading the fuel pump but no one wants to do the work on her without charging me an arm tooth and kidney. THANK YOU!!!
Anyone can say what they want about removing the fuel tank. I've put in many a fuel pump in many different cars and you will do anything to keep from dropping the tank. I dropped the tank on a 95 Chevy ASTRO and almost never got it back up. Something I don't see ppl mention is getting hurt. There are so many different things that can go wrong dropping a tank and reinstalling. If you don't want to use a saw use a drill to cut a hole and work sheet metal shears in the floor. When finished, get a piece of simple sheet metal and seal it down with a caulk or black tar. I have a 93 e150 star quest by starcraft and don't see how I can do this. Any tips from conversion van owners?
I found a similar solution for a '97 Saab 900 I had, but that's not why I called. I've been watching a lot of diecast customers and as you said, they are very good but you are The Godfather of the genre (pardon my French)! Anyway, I have a Toy Peddler 1970 Challenger R/T Johnny Lighning that that I would like to send you for your collection. If you already have one you could do whatever you want with it, Don Carlione.
Elegant hack to be sure. Pooch eyeball measurement in full effect locating the new access panel. Just use a small cutting wheel to avoid nicking the fuel lines, right?
Then go to the junk yard and get a piece of floor a little bigger and calk it right over the hole. Excellent hack on an old vehicle. Wish you could get a kit to do this🤔
I thank you for the video, its clearly a short cut, but if your heart needs surgery, Dont take short cuts! Do it right! and then...... rust, leaks, and lack of knowledge to avoid a disaster, it will take less time than cutting to remove the tank the right way, dont take me wrong, I do apreciate your work, but if anybody has a leaky tanks from top seal, it will be a disaster because your lack of common sense to avoid trouble shooting to beging with
Destroy the vehicle? Don't be an idiot! You obviously have never dropped a full tank of fuel! Probably never opened the hood of a car go back to your cat videos!

Do you have to take off the drive shaft?
I have the same van so this helps if I need to change my fuel pump. Thanks! Great Video!
Thank you my friend...You just made my day alot easier..
This will only work with the cargo vans.
Passenger vans have a seat mount in this area.
6 nuts and it's gone

I just got done doing it 30 min ago...mine was only ,6...had to cut carpet back ..of course ...undo 6 nuts and lift plate strait up
And yes I did cut the hole in reinforced floor
you are awesome 🙏 thank you for this video. God bless you sir.

nice one have a camper van and they got extra tanks along side the fuel tank and cant get to the filler pipe either so it looks like its the cutter
Good hack seriously but now how do you put the metal cut piece back on? Do you weld it with all this fuel underneath it?🤔
I welded a couple of tabs on the part i cut out and screwed it back in place. Covered the seams with gaffers tape and put the rubber mat on top
Cool hack, I can see myself now cutting into the fuel lines and burning the whole thing to the ground. 🤦🏻♂️😂😂😂
Is this van a long or short wheelbase? Mines a long, hoping yours is the same so I can reference the fuel fill as you did. Thanks for the video!
1992 and up have the same wheel base.
The extended vans are just longer after the rear axle.

Why don’t manufacturers make a trap door on van so you can open and close they make then under the back seat in a lot of cars

Can you hear your pump no2

Yeah there's plenty of room with a 41/2 in wheel
Thanks for the quickie!
300k ? Thanks mine only has 67k ur video lightening my fear of problems .
when you put new videos on your channel?
I've been working on it! Lol

Thanks for the information!!
is there an explosion hazard with using a cutting wheel over the gas tank
Theres plenty of clearance between the floor and tank now if there's fuel leaking on top you'd have a problem! Lol

I cut almost 4 of those vans.. it's a very good trick.
Allright my man.
What happened I have not seen you on RUclips
I really need to retire and work on my channel! I don't know how some guys do it!?
Same amount of mileage. It buck for a good while then die
Too risky! Sparks near the fuel tank not smart.
Stop it! You obviously don't work on cars!
My 09 E350 died at 800,000
That's good new!!! Hope mine gets there!
@@Gurupodcastreviews nope
@@Gurupodcastreviews not really only dry gas in the winter, I just never let the tank get below 1/4

This is the dumbest thing to do full tank or not just do it right dont destroy the vehical
