I really appreciate how Magnus's opponent came to fight. That he challenged Magnus despite being up against the # 1 chess player in the world. They both showed class and respect at the end to each other. Magnus knows he is virtually unbeatable but still he is gracious discussing the game after winning.
I loved that also. He knew his chances of wining were pretty slim, but came with his best anyway. By playing his best and not backing down, he can hold his head high knowing he was part of a beautiful game.
I like how Magnus adjusts his pieces while on the clock. It seems respectful of his opponent that he's willing to use his clock rather than waste his opponent's time by making them wait on him before the match starts.
Thank you so much for creating these. Honestly these are the best recaps on youtube, and it's not exactly the case that you don't have competition. Much love from the Netherlands
uhh one would say Fischer could contend to that statement. No databases, no engines, no coaches. Just pure raw genius and exceptional talent. Magnus has the latter but in real true form different decades Bobby beats Carlsen in all phases of the game. He would have crushed Karpov in defending his title thats just pure common sense... some 200 points higher. its like what Carlsen does to 2500/2600 players. The GOAT is still Fischer imo
@@queennineYou don't even know how Carlsen would play if his opponents werent full engine prepared. Magnus had to do it, if not, he would get crushed. So if the "engine" dissapear, Magnus would play way diferent, with more Magic and less positional pressure by a solid top tier prep. So in other words, You can't know how Magnus would be without engine nor Fischer with engine, things are huella complicated, thats why real experts in the subject just agree with: different eras CANT be compared
I find Pantsulaia more impressive than Magnus here. He played with someone far superior than him and instead of having the mindset of entering a battle to be lost he obtained the mindset of someone who obtains a very high quality private trainer. Hence showing super eager to absorb Magnus' comments at the end of the game, let alone that he appears to have made a complimentary comment right after they shake hands.
Love your analysis and commentating always and especially for THIS gem! I totally agree this particular game is probably special to BOTH players and it us RARE but FUN to see Magnus slice into a position like this! It looked like Magnus was playing a Bobby Fischer or Paul Morphy game and almost Checkmated his opponent TWICE! :)
On Magnus vs Tari, Magnus always seems to perform poorly against his friends maybe because he doesn’t want to go in for the kill against them… I’m interested to see what happens.
Hey Sagar. . . Do you play alongside Magnus and Hikamaru🤙❤️🔥 I say this because your commentary and advice is second to none🤙❤️🔥Excelsior my friend💪🤙❤️🔥

@@ZZZZZZaphod well if Alireza plays he will face Ding, not Magnus, in the last interview Magnus already declare he will not play world championship at the moment, maybe in the future, but not now
He doesn't like the fact that the world champion is automatically in the final the next championship. He's said it would be like the winner of the last football world championship would instantly be in the final the next time around. He thinks everyone should go through candidates, including the champion. He's also not fond of the format of the world championship overall.

Eu também percebi a mesma coisa, ele precisava da vitória e realmente veio com agressividade e não ficou com medo! Merece todo respeito
True, although some would say that Magnus isn't as gracious when he loses.
Levan is a gentleman... the play from Magnus is impressive and Levan indeed said "IMPRESSIVE" literally
is there a clip with audio? from lip reading it looks like he said "it was a pleasure"

We are lucky to witness this beautiful mind of a chess player. Gracias, Magnus.
Respect to Levan; he fought well
