Great win. Means Gukesh the World Champion today (2024 Dec) was already in the making last year when he was only 17 years and a few months old. Great superfast commentary by GM Daniel Naroditsky!
Gukesh faced an onslaught by magnus on king side, he defended well and then created counterolay on king side, took the game to the endgame and continuously put pressure on the goat,.
Chess broadcasts really need to figure out some better camera angles so we can actually see the chess being played on the board, instead of relying on an overlay. Just have two cameras setup looking from above the players, that shows the board and their opponent and switch between them, along with the traditional side shot.
Gukesh is insane. Beating Magnus is even more impressive than beating Martin when he's bonclouding. Seriously though, great job. Both players are amazing.
How did gukesh throw this he had the idea of bringing the king to a2 to just win but instead after Ka5 he gets scared of the knight and wasted moves like what?
Yes and thats the best chance Gukesh has got to reach candidates as 3 players from World Cup qualify for Candidates. But that is also the worst match that he has to face Magnus before Semis.
@@Mathematica1729 yeah, but if he could beat Magnus, he could beat anyone and win World Cup, just like Duda did last time. Btw Grand Swiss is also there
In a very recent online rapid game, when carlsen suddenly realizes that he is lost vs Gukesh, Carlsen starts to turn 360 & throw around his hands lol. Gukesh is the youngest to reach 2750 elo ( yeah even younger than Carlsen) & is better than Carlsen at same age. So he is on a trajectory to surpass Carlsen. That "little worm" & "smirk" part is just your projection. Carlsen didnt smirk, he just is a good sport. Also get used to seeing more Indian prodigies (Gukesh , Praggnanandhaa etc) dominate the world of chess for atleast next 2 decades.
Full match result always ends in a single move😂. I can't even notice match is won or drawn because Match was intense. Finallyas fans Gukesh side we also won with him😄 Gukesh actually handcuffed magnus with that major pan.
Winning against Magnus that too in the endgame is just legendary especially for his age 👏

Beating Magnus in endgame is no mean feat. Gukesh had to be in super beast mode and he nailed it. Well done Gukesh
Dan has an incredible talent for commentary. Super engaging and clear throughout!
ya thinking the same
Danya and Hess is best pair in commentary.
Yes everything he's saying has meaning, no fluff! Love this
Very helpful commentary 👌
My favorite caster and also his speedrun videos are great. Also a really funny guy

Can anyone tell how Gukesh won ? There are still pieces left on board and no check to either side king , am i missing something here
carlsen cant protect the pawn any more so the queen vs knight and queen win
