DasZombes very nicely summarized my thoughts on this track with this quote: "I don't know what the fuck James Primate was on when he made 'The Coast/Shoreline' but it makes me want to lie on a slimy beach surrounded by shipwrecks on a cloudy day and get eaten by seagulls" Seriously, this song is so fucking good
This was one of my favourite songs in the OST, I’m glad you can now hear it in Waterfront Facility Felt really weird it wasn’t in Shoreline at all before Downpour (at least, some version of Shoreline now)
What's this feeling I get from this song... Well, besides "ocean" of course... Despair? Calm? Decay/Rot? Contemplative? Loneliness? It's probably all of them, but probably also something I can't quite put into words, if there are any words to describe it that is.
No happy feelings? I think it's incredibly calm and peaceful and it makes me feel like everything is good despite everything being not very good... but yeah undescribable feelings
I've always been drawn to the ocean! Marine life is just so fascinating to me, so I had quite the fun time in Shoreline :] I'm glad this song gets used in the DLC, it's just so soothing and comforting.
This song just makes me feel so happy and calm. Thank you for uploading this. I love shoreline. (Edit reason: I accidentally typed upload not uploading ;-;)
this song is really comforting and sad at the same time, it's like sitting on the shore, on a cloudy day, just watching the waves come and go, and think about life, feeling the soft (or strong) marine breeze flow in your face, and in your hair, listening to the ocean while you set your eyes on the distance, seeing nothing more than the vast ocean
I don't know what it is about this song but it resonates so hard. it feels like a mix of relaxation and melancholy, like thinking about the shortness of your life while you're enjoying it on the beach. I struggle with living in the moment and tend to ruin fun times by thinking about how they will be over eventually and this song just oddly fits it so well??
this is giving me the vibes of an empty, unknown beach on the shore of the Baltic Sea. the slimy seaweed, the dirty sand, the cold water, the noisy waves, the salty breeze, the cloudy sky... that's what I see. an image that shouldn't be pleasing, and yet it calms me so much.
I have really unexplainable feelings while listening to this one. It’s like knowing that a great chapter of your life is coming to an end and you’re enjoying the last bits of it. Or looking at the sunset, holding hands (or paws wawa) with someone you love, with a feeling that this moment will not last forever. Or maybe… enjoying the last seconds of your life, before an Aquapede shocks you…
Listend to this once in sweden when is was at a rocky beach in Tjörn, it was sort of glomy weather wise but nice, i was really suprised how similar it looked to shoreline, it just felt exactly the same.
Why are there seagull sounds in this OST, but the only “birds” are vultures and their variant on hunter. Even then, vultures (or I think they are) might be highly evolved cone snails, (because cone snails are the only creatures that ALSO have harpoons) so there aren’t even any birds in the game. (Watcher dlc could have an actual bird creature though) (miros birds aren’t birds, they’re robots.)

that is called an average beach day in Washington
@@EchoTheProtato Time to book a trip to Washington then, because God damn I want to do this too

Probaly the second best song in this game in my opinion shame it was never used
I heard it in-game, so it actually is used. But I might agree that you hear the songs very situationnally

Or sit on a sinking ship, chillin' while the leviathan tries to eat you, exactly what V1 does.
holy shisza is that v1 from the hit game ULTRAKILL?????
Marine life truly is odd. Some creatures just decided to stay in or go back to the beginning of life’s history.
James really did excellent work on what he put in. Love his stuff
@Minersblog Yooo it's been forever
The first ever song I heard when I went out into the open of shoreline.
Brings back memories since its so peaceful.
Who’d know listening to this while finishing fire punch would be so weirdly surreal
sounds almost like incomplete blissful ignorance, just a little bit of reality always threatening to flood in
The beach is a lovely place to relax. Take a dip in the water slugcat, you need it after everything that’s been going on
FLOOD in? I see what you did there.

I love how this games music seamlessly incorporates the so many Pictures of the Past's leitmotifs into other songs such as this one
Ive never played, but this music alone may bring me into rainworld

This is probably great for sleepin, al you need is a one hour version
wow, i think this is my favorite
"the coast" Is bringing back memories of how i cant get past frigid coast because of the hundreds of miros vultures
this is a perfect fit for the melancholic tone of waterfront
does this mean seagulls are canon in rain world
I feel like chilling
Are those seagulls in the beginning???? 0:00
i have literally no idea
this song somehow both reminds me of the lisa soundtrack and the unravel soundtrack
Calming
