You know it's bad when Moon, the iterator so sweet that she delayed forcefully stopping Five Pebbles in the process of basically killing her out of hope that he would be convinced to halt, gets angry... O_O
Huh- sorry for the audio being weird while I'm in Moon's chamber! RUclips told me there was a copyrighted song, Malsynopsis by Sipik (absolute banger!!! All of the Drought music is so good, and I'd unironically rate all of them 10/10!!! If someone knows where I can find all of the music in one place, please let me know :)), so I selected RUclips's option of them filtering it out, which is why it sounds odd. Sorry again!
If this campaign was cannon, then it would be the only campaign that would really make a difference in the story. Or not. They were all doomed to rot away anyway, some just did it faster than others. Every Iterator can a moutain.
I guess the interesting part of this ending is what it may change/suggest for how campaigns Spearmaster to Saint could play out. Rivulet wouldn't be needed by Five Pebbles, Hunter isn't required for Moon, etc. But on the other hand, nothing you do in Survivor changes any of Monk's endings, so nothing could change like you said.
Hunter has the most impactful role as he doesn’t have to resurrect moon and can fully comfortably ascend, other slugcats either are penalised for not completing their job or don’t have as much an impact
I love the idea of this. Giving Moon the pearl that caused so many problems and not only saving her from painful collapse, but also saving Pebbles from a slow death. Seeing kind to a dangerous fault Moon angry is scary.
I agree! A whole timeline of new possibilities was opened up by this ending, and it's very interesting to explore what a pre-collapse Looks To The Moon is like :D
That would be a very cool AU! I'd be especially curious about Artificer using their citizen ID drone to access Moon's standing city. As for the ending... I'm seeing a lot of parallels to Hunter's ascension ending, so maybe Wanderer experienced the consequence of being an iterator's creation? (Excluding Spearmaster, since Downpour lore didn't exist when Drought was made)
So the Wander is dragged down, by wires? Then is curled back up, looking like a slugpup now. Those symbols before he ascends- it reminds me of how artificer was "echoing", is it because he failed his purpose? He didn't give the delivery like he was meant to, so now he can't go back to Suns, they knew what he did after all. Giving the pearl to Moon instead. Seeing Moon this *upset* really puts into perspective just how much danger Pebbles was putting himself and Moon into, especaily since Moon would lose precious water acess. I'd love to see an AU on how Five Pebbles being treated like a kid on a leash after this, lashes out at the local groups and starts to rapidly produce the rot.
I love the idea of Five Pebbles lashing out! :O It'd be so cool to see him conducting even more dangerous experiments, abusing the poor slugcats who wandered into his systems, maybe even Looks To The Moon finally using force to stop Five Pebbles 🤔
If you mean... The thumbnail: I didn't insert the correct ratio. The white dot: That's the "What's In My Pocket?" mod that displays what the player has in their inventory. The enlarged text: I edited it like that so the dialogue would be easier to read.
I appreciate that she at least wants to stay out of Pebbles’s business.
Yea, makes it even sadder when she gets angry, must hurt to almost have let a disaster happen because you respected your sibling's privacy :(
This is one of the very few times we have seen Moon mad and it scares me...

"Snake! You've caused a time paradox!' [GAME OVER]
Thank you for uploading this! I hadn't even thought of giving the pearl to Moon several times.
You're welcome! I didn't think of giving the pearl to Moon more than once on my first playthrough as well 😅

really want to see how the rest of an AU based on this would carry out
and also i wonder what happened at the end there

For nothing at all...🎶
No happy ending for Wanderer... :(
