I haven't practiced in a hot minute. I've been needing this medicine, though I was worried about coming back to the mat. I wrote in my journal "it's easier to distract myself than try and practice gratitude and be with my mind and body this way". It's easier before coming on the mat. Funny thing is, when I got to the mat and followed this practice, it was easier to practice the gratitude and being present. Thank you, Adriene. As always, you're wonderful and you have me coming back.
I feel ya. I have 100 things that I need to do and lately I’m doing the “I’ll do it tomorrow” BS. This started in January it’s now May…thank you Adrienne for bringing me back

Took yoga classes at an expensive gym for 17 years with an instructor that trained under Baron Baptiste. For the past two years, I have switched to a home practice, and that is how I found Adriene. My practice is now very internal, no mirrors, no comparing myself to others, no yoga instructor complimenting only those that excel. Love going slowly, mindfully, and constantly paying attention to how my body feels in the moment. Love going back to a beginners practice and finding something new in the basics. Would not be without a home practice at this point, that is how important and beneficial it has been to me-it also feels like therapy. Thank you Adriene!

Hello Adriene, your yoga classes helped me tremendously through the pandemic years, I did a class every day. Since I was diagnosed with osteoporosis couple of months ago, I stopped because I learned that certain moves, twisting, bending, maybe downward dog is not good for me. I’ve missed your classes very much, but I wonder if you would do a modified class for osteoporosis patients?
This was a perfect timing. I've been doing yoga for quite some time. But the last two months I didn't enjoy it as much as I did before. So my practices went to the short yoga sessions. Brilliant. I have just come back to Yoga and I did your 30 day Move challenge. It was maybe a bit advanced for me but I turned up every day and did it. Now I have started the Breath one but I think the beginners would be best for me. I am hooked on your knowledge and tuition though and trust you completely.
I agree. There is time that my schedule got busier and I feel not like doing yoga at all if it's too long. However 10 to 15 min session is good enough for my body on those days. Anyone needs short Yoga for busy people like me ? 😄

I've followed Adriene's practices for years but I haven't been able to the past couple of years. Had a baby, then got cancer. After my surgeon said it was okay, I'm finally back on the mat, beginner style to let my body catch up slowly. Feels soooo good to be back ! How I love these practices ! 🥰❣️ So grateful today 🥹

11 am have looked at many yoga and done wee bit ín class. It enjoy the benefit of being in own yards with fountain and birds. Am 82 yrs female and with wonderful Adrianne patient beautiful encouragement I hope to live healthy older years!!

Not a beginner but Just done this one today. I have permanent nerve damage to my left leg. I have recently had sciatica for just over three months and it has left my left leg very weak and I unable to do pigeon, dragon and balance poses. Low lunge to high lunge I am so wobbly. 😅 This was lovely this morning and I am going to carry on in beginner practices until my leg gets stronger again. I have been back to beginner and gentle practices for almost 2 weeks and loving it.

I have taken a month off from my daily practice because of a huge move and life change. Things are finally settling down again and I've been noticing I've been feeling anxious and weak without it. When I check back in to pick it up again Adriene is running a calendar about beginnings!!! Always perfect. ❤️❤️
This was great! The 36 minutes went by much quicker than I expected - and I loved the beginner focus and relatively slow pace, as it helped me to focus more on each pose.
I'm back to yoga after months of inactivity, thank you Adrienne! i'd love some support and words of encouragement as I try to get back into exercising again. I told myself that this time: all I need is to show up on the map, no judgment, just gentle movements, whatever feels best. I used to strive to hit a certain goal, because I know that certain movements can make me stronger, and try to challenge myself. But here I am again, but this time, anything will do. I loved it. I have been following your 20 minute video too. It takes some strength in my arms, but I notice it becoming slowly easier day after day. I will keep using these videos every day. Edit, I've been following your 20 minute video, the 30 and the 40 minute video for beginnners for a month. I have also been doing some strength training, and after working out for about a month, I had taken a 3 day break of both the gym and this. I started today with my recharged energy and OHMYGOD. I can feel a lot more muscles in my legs, especially my butt. My arms are still weak in holding up endurance, but I can keep up and way stronger. There is more stability in them. I can also do the downwards facing dog in a better position (I have practiced trying to keep my upper body more pushed towards my arms and activating abdominals). I can tell a lot has improved.

Another really nice slow vinyasa. Regardless of your yoga experience, this one allows for very thoughtful movement that I was able to breath, stretch and strengthen in each pose🌝

Is it still a struggle to actually roll out the darned mat? Yes , often. But , as soon as it begins, I am so happy I made the decision. 11 am have looked at many yoga and done wee bit ín class. It enjoy the benefit of being in own yards with fountain and birds. Am 82 yrs female and with wonderful Adrianne patient beautiful encouragement I hope to live healthy older years!!

Not a beginner but Just done this one today. I have permanent nerve damage to my left leg. I have recently had sciatica for just over three months and it has left my left leg very weak and I unable to do pigeon, dragon and balance poses. Low lunge to high lunge I am so wobbly. 😅
This was lovely this morning and I am going to carry on in beginner practices until my leg gets stronger again. I have been back to beginner and gentle practices for almost 2 weeks and loving it.

Yep! I’ve been out of practice for a short period and this was a fantastic revisit to the foundations. You always remind me what I need in the moment.

And I just realized that with my headphones can hear your heart beating throughout the exercise and…
I …am not a dirty old man …well yes I am …but I am trying to be as spiritual as I can
I can tell you that it’s a profound feeling as we go through the exercises to hear your heartbeat and hear that gentle , nurturing caring in your voice as you guide us .

I have taken a month off from my daily practice because of a huge move and life change. Things are finally settling down again and I've been noticing I've been feeling anxious and weak without it. This was great! The 36 minutes went by much quicker than I expected - and I loved the beginner focus and relatively slow pace, as it helped me to focus more on each pose.

I'm back to yoga after months of inactivity, thank you Adrienne! i'd love some support and words of encouragement as I try to get back into exercising again. I told myself that this time: all I need is to show up on the map, no judgment, just gentle movements, whatever feels best. I used to strive to hit a certain goal, because I know that certain movements can make me stronger, and try to challenge myself. But here I am again, but this time, anything will do. Back to self love, back to finding what feels best.

I enjoyed returning to the basics and practicing headstand afterwards to increase my energy (Day - 9). Thank you so much for this I havent mived my body for maybe half a year now, my mom died and I took care of my grandma with dementia. I decided to do self love by going back to your vids adrienne, your practices are always engaging, it's amazing how I was able to focus on your words. This was a great yoga session for someone who hasn't done yoga in a few years.
I did this practice 3 days in a row this week after not doing very much yoga all year and I can feel my body waking up again. All the tight places I didn't even realise I was living with are already soothed and becoming strong. Thanks Adriene - you're always right.

I loved it. I have been following your 20 minute video too. It takes some strength in my arms, but I notice it becoming slowly easier day after day. I will keep using these videos every day.
Edit, I've been following your 20 minute video, the 30 and the 40 minute video for beginnners for a month. I have also been doing some strength training, and after working out for about a month, I had taken a 3 day break of both the gym and this. I started today with my recharged energy and OHMYGOD. I can feel a lot more muscles in my legs, especially my butt. My arms are still weak in holding up endurance, but I can keep up and way stronger. There is more stability in them. I can also do the downwards facing dog in a better position (I have practiced trying to keep my upper body more pushed towards my arms and activating abdominals). I can tell a lot has improved.

Been doing this practice and your other practice “yoga to feel your best” to get back into the groove after depression hit hard. They’re gentle but still target all the muscles. You are the best instructor :) ❤
Another really nice slow vinyasa. Regardless of your yoga experience, this one allows for very thoughtful movement that I was able to breath, stretch and strengthen in each pose🌝

Just adding my thanks to Adriene for putting so much helpful, thoughtful, inclusive practice on the web. It feels so good to do your sessions - never once have I regretted it. Is it still a struggle to actually roll out the darned mat? Yes , often. But , as soon as it begins, I am so happy I made the decision. I am not a beginner but as the ageing process kicks in, it is great to find something which is safe and mindful of an older body. Thanks again Adriene.
