He handled that Ali vs Tyson question with wisdom
by far the wisest answer!
He was crafty with his answer, but in their prime Tyson was knock Ali out easy work!!
@@wysefavor
No, Ali would box Tyson silly. Tyson was exposed by Douglas.
Tyson is overrated, and doesn't belong in the same conversation as Ali.
Tyson was a great puncher, but he wasn't even the best fighter of his generation.
Instead of putting the 2 greats against each other, put them against yourself and see who you'll rather fight in their prime, Ali or Tyson? Ali was like a fox that would keep chipping away at you and Tyson was like a Hyena that'll keep coming at you. Both are respected in their rightful kingdom.
That was a smooth Ali vs. Tyson answer he gave 💯
I swear it was
Trae Stylez 💯 he wanted him 2 go against the grain but George a seasoned vet
Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are two stars of a generation. kinda blows this theory out the window that there can't be two at once.
Yea, the two most popular fighters in history.
Alex Harriott Neither guy you mention occupies the universal attention of Ali or Tyson
If Big George says someone hit too hard, I believe him
He still wanted to fight him though lol. I wonder how that would have gone.
@@williamwest9204 Foreman at 3
william west foreman by early KO
@@williamwest9204 Yeah, he's being gracious here in his old age. He wanted Tyson. And as far as power, George and Ernie Shavers and others hit harder than Tyson. What made prime Tyson a killer though, was his crazy speed combined with very good power.
the only one that surpasses tyson with rooney in the speed department was prime ali and thats saying something
No one hit like Big George. His opponents are still feeling it.
Yeah even Tyson said foreman and shavers probably hit just as hard if not a little harder than him
Foreman was a hard hitter but no where near a Tyson punch. Even Ali said Ernie Shavers hit harder than Foreman did.
@@OfficialDamaniScott Forman has a thudding power that just folds people over. Tyson has snap in his punch that more flash knockouts happen from. If they ever fought I think Tyson would get rid if Forman in 3

Ahhhh the Mike Tyson/ Muhammad Ali paradox: there can only be one GOAT per generation.
Duh
A 1964-67 Ali vs a 1985-88 Tyson would have been a 12 round decision fight. Ali can't be ko'd and Tyson never lost a decision as a pro. Do the math while figuring out how unpredictable Ali would be and how relaxed Tyson would be that night...
Search up Muhammad Ali Defence master on Yt and you'll see how ridiculous his reaction time and ability to lean back was in his prime in the 60's
Ali/Tyson/Mayweather each GOAT's of their generations
I wouldnt count them as the same generation.
Just imagine a 1966 Ali, a 1973 Foreman and a 1986 Tyson fighting today. They would all be billionares and would have given us spectaluar fights...
Soumik Biswas how are you gonna put dillian Whyte in that sentence over Andy Ruiz ?
Soumik Biswas completely missed the point of what I said, how are you gonna put Dillian in that dumbass sentence over Ruiz who actually battered Aj and knocked him out?
@Soumik Biswas the fact that yall are even mentioning those guys as if ANY of them are comparable to the ALL-TIME GREATS is laughable and indicative of your perspective and knowledge of the history of the heavyweight division 🤦♂️. Every single one of them would get outboxed and knocked silly in the eras that pre-date theirs.......the skill level is nowhere close 🤷♂️
Nah. They'd be stalling fights like fighters do now bc that's the era were in today. If wilder Aj and fury grew up in the 60s, they wouldve fought eachother multiple times bc it was the standard
Soumik Biswas 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
George foreman you legend and a pure gentleman
Mr. George F, . . Always Humble & Always Smile 🙏🙏👍👍

Why do people including yourself assume the term “bulldog” is in offensive taste.. It’s actually quite a compliment. Referring someone to a bulldog represents toughness tenacity ect
George literally just answered a question nobody ever thought we would get the answer to...not the answer we wanted but that sure makes sense.
I've always admired BIG George, for his humility as he got older and wiser. His respect for Ali. He became softer and more caring then anyone with a record like his. George Foreman you are a hero!!!
AJ did exactly what George Foreman stated here: Jab, grapple and step back, and circle the ring Jab.
What does that say about Joshua though? Ruiz came in a fat slob who let the money go to his head in the rematch yet Joshua still had that much trouble. I like Joshua but he's only holding the belt until Fury gets the chance to take it from him.
007 It says he’s not one dimensional like Wilder and has the ability to adapt to certain opponents, yeah Ruiz was a fat blob but he was a fat blob in the first fight and has been a fat blob his whole career, Btw Fury gained a load of weight and got praised for it when he stopped Wilder with the ‘added power’ but cause Ruiz did it and it didn’t work it’s suddenly a laughing stock and the win for Joshua is totally disregarded
Ali, Foreman, and Frazier basically the brothers of boxing. One of the greatest sporting trios ever
Im happy that he is sharp still. Few people can come out healthy after heavyweight boxing
Ali: This man is dangerous.
Foreman: I'm dangerous!

Tf is a bulldog style? Mike could box and had power. His peek a boo style was crazy.
Orion Pavlos
The dude was not familiar with boxing terminology 😂
@Orion Pavlos..... Bulldog style low & aggressive Ferocious relentless type of attack
Orion Pavlos that’s how I know not everyone with mic 🎤 know what they talking about tf is a bulldog style
Although he fought from the peek-a-boo stance, he called it “bulldog” because from the moment the bell rang he was on them like a dog. No time to even fight back and he’s hit you 12 times and you’re dead. They may also call it swarmer but mike was too majestic to be put in one category. Swarmers tend to take a lot of punches and when mike was young he could hardly be touched.
He might be referring to the way Mike would just keep coming. He might bob and weeve, but he never really backed awat from punches. He would stay close to take away opponents reach advantage since most of his fights were against taller fighters.
i grow up in 70s ,george forman was the hardest puncher in his prime time ,
Ali fought both and said Shavers was the hardest hitter he ever fought. And George said the 3 hardest hitters he ever fought were Ron Lyle, Cleveland Williams and Gerry Cooney. There's a clip of a guy who fought both Frazier and Foreman. I can't remember the guy's name but he was a sparring partner for most of the greats of the 70's. He said Joe Frazier hit harder than George Foreman. He said something like, "He hit harder because they were clean shots. They had snap in them."
i like how he said ''every champion was born by the stars..because it was their time..and could never exist together''
I love the humbleness he gives...🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
George predicted the way AJ would fight Ruiz in the rematch to a tee
Aj must have seen the clip bcoz it was identical..
Extremely Wise Beyond his years he just prophesied HOW Joshua wON the rematch WOW

George Foreman has such a beautiful soul. I had the pleasure of meeting him briefly years ago and he was such a nice and kind person.
When Tyson was on top of his game in his prime with his original trainers, he was unstoppable
@Manifest-Easy tyson was never rocked in that fight lets not forget he won with a fractured foot tyson was INEXPERINCED and green when he fought tillis had he rematched tillis in his prime hed knock him out like he did spinks so stop
As a close friend and distant relative of Mike Tyson, I have actually sparred with him twice, back in 2018, he is still a very capable fighter even at old age, his punches are incredibly fast and solid and feels like as if bricks are being launched at you from all angles, so I can only imagine how unbeievably monsterous they were in his prime. I don't blame foreman for not wanting any part of Tyson.

And Mohammed Ali would be the matador.
Tyson might powerful with alot power & rages
But Ali is faster with tactics and stamina that can hold his own all day

George still wanted to fight him though tysons people and his just couldn't seem to make it happen.
I'd have loved seeing a 44yo foreman vs tyson.
It didn't seem to stop Buster Douglas from making Iron fall like lead.
@Thomas Florio foreman was stronger and more accurate in his older age
@Thomas Florio obviously your not a fighter either, or an older man at that, your ability does go down, speed goes down if you don't train it, and your timing goes if your speed does, but you can build muscle at any age and that's what foreman did, he focused on power and accuracy in his comeback. And a boxers longevity is about how much damage and injuries they receive, george had few.
@Thomas Florio why believe you? Were you in the ring with him?
And you can say what you want on theory but the proof was in the pudding, nobody dropped foreman in his comeback, tyson wouldn't have had any better chance. Especially at having to get within range of foreman which nobody who beat him wanted to do or did.
Excluding when he got robbed against Shannon Briggs.
Signs of a true champion humility and honesty

Trying to Rope-a-dope Mike Tyson is the definition of fool hearty.
Not really, this is one of the biggest misconceptions amongst Tyson fans. It would've been dangerous for sure but the rope-a-dope was mainly effective against fighters who would gas out later in the fight, something that Tyson was known to do.
To let Tyson in his prime hit you that hard for that long? Nothing against Joe Frazier, or George Foreman, but I think Mike was in a different class altogether.

I think George would have been the few guys who could take Tyson at his best. Style wise I think Foreman would be difficult for Tyson to fight in the same way Fraizer struggled to fight Foreman. I think Foreman would have better odds against Tyson than Ali in my opinion.
Certainly prime Foreman and Tyson would have been great and a tough one to call. However George's only chance to fight him was as an old man and way out of shape. Sadly I think Tyson's speed and ferocity would have been too much for him by then.

Ali told him that, but he fought Earnie Shavers FAR past his prime
Mike was the new era at that time. I know Mike has his flaws, but if he stayed focused and out of prison....
I think once Buster showed you have to press forward against Mike instead of back pedaling (often in abject fear), the riddle of Mike was solved. Tyson couldn't fight going backwards as Buster, Lewis, Holyfield, and even Ruddock showed (Razor had success when he moved forward, but ultimately lost). Anyway, Mike was exciting to watch, that's for sure.
@@Thomas-fk3cw Tyson was already losing his momentum long before his Douglas fight. Experts watched and told that on TV. Boxing didn't belong to the important things in his life anymore. He'd become lazy and complacent, seduced by alcohol and drugs. His career was over long before Holyfield and especially Lewis fought him. But Mike didn't realize. When he came back from prison his boxing style was awful. No movement, no footwork or combinations. He was an arrogant prick believing that would have been enough for a superfit Holyfield, He learned the truth the hard way. Lewis should have fought 80s Mike. But he continued as amateur.
