- Most effective mod that can help with shifting. It helps prevent the header from cracking by reducing a lot of engine movement. Vibrations are not bad at all. Thanks for watching!

The use of the scissor jack was genius; it is *much* easier than trying to use a lever to muscle the engine around. That trick saved me hours of frustration.
These 2 just saved my life
You better keep up the videos so I can stay motivated on saving up for my own 8th gen, not sure if I want a coupe or a sedan yet, I love both
Thanks bro! Sedan are definitely holding up their value and can do more with them, I’d say get the 4 door if you can!
Thank you! I got a exhaust and header a few days ago and I had no idea I needed to do this until I started feeling the header hit 😂
Great video. Keep up the good work Austin 👍
I wanted to thank you because this video helped me so much to change that rear mount. God bless you guys!
I liked when I had that mount on my last fg2. Going to have to buy another one since I just bought another fg2 lol
Nice!
awesome video man can't wait to see the next one
Bro i suppose you went to Harvard cause because of you i finally did it
That scissor jack technique was something different, i burned thousand of calories trying prying the motor
Thanks guys 🙏
For the coilovers did you guys have to buy a rear camber kit so the wheels won't have negative camber?
If you want to zero out the camber on the rear then you would need a rear camber kit. We didn’t buy one in our case so it’s gonna have that natural camber for the rear
I heard, this would prevent the race header from touching the engine? I used to have the skunk2 header, and it touches the engine chassis when reverse and downshifting. Should I install these rear mount to prevent it? Thanks. This is a helpful video btw.
Thank you! It should help a lot for preventing the header hitting the chassis! Make sure to get at least the 70a version
62a is good enough for street use and will have less vibration than 70a
Are the fortune auto suspension good ?? Is it the automatic rise up ones ?
It’s pretty solid, I’m assuming you’re talking about air suspension? We don’t have that
So what other benefits does a motor mount provide besides from keeping the header from cracking ?
Helps prevent wheel hop and improves shifting
I got the 62a mount, but the headers still hit. Just ordered the 70A so we will if that makes a difference.
What kind of header do you have?
@@austinsai3863 Skunk2 Alpha, if this 70A doesn't fix it then I'll upgrade all the mounts.
@@Nexttime maybe one of your mounts are torn, I’m sure upgrading them all will fix it.
@@austinsai3863 The 70A still hits, but not nearly as bad with 62A. I think an upgrade all the way around is needed.
@@Nexttime if you need the other mounts I can hook you up. I’m a sales rep for axion industries.
Nobody used a grinder to grind the sides of the mount so it can fit it ?
No we didn’t grind it at all
70A or what bushing did you guys use for this one?
70a
Thanks! Genius idea with the scissor jack.
Did you have to shave it down at all?
No
Was it 70a bushing ?? Or 62 a
That's what I would like to know as well.
70a.
