    My sisters, Andrea and Felicia were in a car accident last year. My sister Felicia passed away however, my youngest sister suffered from internal decapitation and survived. Today, not only is she walking after also shattering her leg but as a result of her internal decapitation, she had a crossed eye. After a couple of months of self rehabilitation exercises was able to correct it and no longer has double vision or a crossed eye. I am saddened for the loss of my sister Felicia but am eternally grateful that I still have Andrea. 💕

    • @chicagata
      @chicagata 6 лет назад +2

      @Alisha Berry, that's a very good question. Thank you. Me and my fellow non believers get upset about the belief in a god because this creates a lot of nonsense and suffering in the world. I do not hate your god, I just don't believe he exists... and I can see how people get manipulated because they believe that questioning a belief is a sin. People at the head of religious institutions get to control the masses, they don't need any good reason to get people trust... they just need an ancient book that gives unquestionable rules and that the masses just accept without thinking. Also, most people that embrace this beliefs strongly are judgemental. They will completely reject someone just because of having a different belief. People that think differently have to hide to be able to belong. That's just wrong! But I completely understand them, because it hurts much more to lose everyone you love than to hide yourself. Religions don't make us be better people. So what's the point of maintaining powerful and religious institutions working? Good people will go good things and bad people will do bad things. Simple! One can learn or be inspired by others, but no ancient text full of bloody stories of revenge and punishment will help our society, all the contrary.

    I've read about internal decapitation before where the patient survived just like Brock. This took place in Phoenix, Arizona -- perhaps 30 years ago. A boy was on his bicycle on his way to school. He tried to cross the highway to get to school, instead of the controlled intersection a ways up the road. He got hit by a car and flew through the air. God must have been watching over him, because there were 2 paramedics in cars nearby who saw the whole thing. They came running and they did the one thing which prevented the boy from being paralyzed from the neck down, or even killed -- they kept the boy's neck straight and still until the ambulance got there. He was quickly transported to St. Joseph's Hospital. When they did the x-rays, the doctors were astounded, much like Brock's doctors. Fortunately, attached to St. Joseph's Hospital is the Barrow Neurological Institute, one of America's elite training centres for neurosurgery and research. The neurosurgeons used some special hardware to bind his cervical spine to his head, and the procedure was very successful. The boy was placed in a halo to keep his head still while everything healed. He was a rambunctious lad, and was soon trying to participate in all of the activities he had done prior to the accident; he even went swimming with the halo on. I wonder what this boy has grown up to be, what he is doing now.

    I have a connective tissue disorder that caused my head/neck connection to be quite weak, and internal decapitation is a real risk for me without a skull/neck fusion. yeah i'm on my 3rd fusion now.(or about to be) this time the bones have to be broken and reshaped as well. I have ehlers-danlos syndrome too and had to get a fusion for the first time about 5 years ago due to being on my way to and high risk of internal decapitation happening. it was kind of urgent and didn't really know what was going on completely. that time i lost 50% mobility from the fusion, the last time i lost full mobility resulting in zero mobility in my neck. fusions are a mess.. esp. in my experience i'd say. but, here's to hoping to find better relief this time. and also, i mean i do think it was very needed (the fusion) in my case but it hasn't been a easy path. much love to fellow zebras/connective tissue issue babes

I know for me this was difficult to watch because my daughter's half sister and her cousin was on a road trip on my birthday just a few weeks ago on Aug. 14th with 5 children all under the age of 9 and a distracted driver in the oncoming lane ran head on into her car killing everyone.... This is to include the driver of the other vehicle who died. In total 8 ppl died that day in what seemed like in an instant. You can look it up. It was Oregon's highest fatality crash this year. So I hear you loud and clear. I wish I had the answers of why this stuff happens to some but yet others are spared like this young mans life. My heart is broken right now for my daughter who just lost her sister and 2 nieces, a nephew, and 3 cousins all in one day. Hopefully, safe driving and making sure recreational equipment is looked after, safe, and age-appropriately used will be a priority from now on. Of course, there's no accounting for a grave illness in a kid. That's just totally unfair. I hope this family is done with catastrophes.

I might be in the dark as much as you are, but at least I don't claim to know more than you, I just acknowledge that there is uncertainty. Religious people just assure they know the answer or at least the one that has all the answers... curiously they have no proof of it, it is just based in whatever faith they happen to have. Yes! See, even you believe the Lord’s ways are mysterious. You proved that with your sarcastic comment. Saying He’s such a good God He put the young man in an almost fatal accident and gave his fam the fright of their lives. Yeah you don’t understand anymore than I do, so yes, it’s indeed a mystery. And in-spite of all this young man has been through we know God is good. In sickness and health.
      Without suffering we don’t know compassion(that is biblical). We will probably never understand the Lord’s ways which is why He is God and we are his children. When you have experienced life and had personal encounters/relationship with the Lord you understand this and are okay with it. Walking in faith isn’t easy. That is why it’s called faith.
      You do not know this person-Princess Brat and what path they have or haven’t walked. Just like I don’t know your life or why you believe or don’t believe what you believe. Ask questions instead of knocking something/someone you don’t understand. I’m sure she would explain her beliefs. All love.

    WOW! Amazing, awesome doctor who performed the surgery and that kid is blessed beyond measure!
    I've some understanding what he and his family went through because my mate was in an accident that broke his neck that should have killed him or paralyzed him. Doctor said he "won the lottery" but I believe God saved his life. Just like that kid!!!

    I wish I had his luck cause on December 27 2006 I was is a car accident where I broke my neck from c4-c7 and they fell in on top of each other leaving my head and neck not being connected sadly for me one of the bones made a spot the size of a match head damage to my spinal cord which left me paralyzed just like the doctor told them if the EMTS didn’t move me just right I would have died and my doctors in Norfolk VA said they didn’t know how I survived the car accident let alone being move out the car to the hospital then moved to the life flight helicopter then off that to the emergency room then moved to the surgery table I’m lucky to still be here but like his mom said god had a big reason why I’m here and I’m happy he didn’t have to go through what I did we both went through something most people don’t survive through and even having to different outcomes we still made it we’re still here to tell are story
