The tiny little red stripe developing on the biggest ones is adorable!! 😭
I'm a week post hatching. So far I can identify about 26. Thanks for all the info. I've been enjoying this very much.
Fantastic information delivered concisely and professionally. I love Neon Tetras they are my favourite fresh water fish.
Video ideas: A video about how you ship, a video about your brine shrimp hatchery, a video of you going and catching wild guppies and a video of you getting a new strain of endler.
What about a video on you checking your tanks, Basically the things you look at at least weekly to figure out if you need to change something? Plants, water, fish etc. just the things worth checking at least weekly to spot issues before they become a bigger problem?
I second the brine shrimp hatchery
Yes, we need the brine shrimp hatchery
Yes, we need the brine shrimp hatchery
Yes we need the brine shrimp hatchery
So I successfully bred my tetras using rain water (melted snow actually lol) and distilled water from the grocery store. Java moss and Cappa leaves. Anyways I waited roughly 3 days to see eggs. I separated the parents then I checked 24 hours later and noticed some eggs missing (but was thinking I was just crazy and that maybe they didn’t hatch yet) then decided to head to work an come back and check again. I looked super close and HOLY CRAP they are the worlds tiniest fish… you almost need a microscope to see them!!! They’re so unbelievably tiny like a glass splinter ❤ I’m so excited I did it successfully… how to hoping I can keep them alive lol
How is it going now?
Very excited to try this someday!
Still going strong!! Still not sure how many I have yet but I don’t think I yellilded a lot, they’ve deff grown a lot!!
Yielded*
This is sooooo cute wish I could get at this stage!!!!!
Keep trying
You are fantastic - straight forward and informative neon tetra series - I have subscribed! Great work
Congratulations breeding neons! Insane. I m very happy to see this video. Thanks 👍🙏
Great series and awesome dedication. I’ve just got back into keeping fish after a long time and am really into the smaller species so this is very handy information.
You can definitely see a lil bit of blue and red developing on a couple of them.
I've been waiting for this video for so long!!
That's a pretty complicated process, nice job. It's as natural as one could hope to make it, with food growing in the container and all. Whatever environmental shortfalls artificial has compared to a natural environment, artificial makes up for it by having no predators and providing a controlled vs random environment. Things like using peat and providing the most varied diet available stabilize variables that are random and sometimes chaotic in the natural environment (and non-existent in most artificial environments). Very nice job.
Could you use a marble (glass balls) as a substrate and maybe hang the peat in nylon net ? I'm sure I read that years ago. Great vid mate
Very good video series, thanks for putting it together. I'm now getting water ready myself to do a neon breeding. I'm anxious to see if I can get some results as well. I have been conditioning the males and females separately. I'm hoping that this works.
They are so cute!
I thought I was in TrashTaste podcast with the intro lmao
Can you do a series on breeding german blue rams one day? The fry are so cute!
Amazing this helps a lot
Great job on breeding them
Almost regret finding your channel, I was given a tank so i figured why not try setting up a planted tank. so i started researching. found your channel and now have 3 damn tanks... stupid addictive hobby.
Very well done mate. Very impressive.
Thanks a lot!
Make another breeding series pleeeeaaaaaasseee!
Plenty to come!
Cheers from India 🤩
Keep going bro.
I’m currently easing zebra danios
Two questions. 1) you put a small filter in the tank at the beginning of the first video but then quickly removed it. Do we not have any concerns about the tank parameters or oxygenation? 2) you mentioned that the infusoria grows well in the main tank. Would it be at all beneficial to try and start that colony in the tank instead of a jar? Is there a method to do so?
Amazing perfect!!!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Love your videos bro keep up the good job on the videos
Glad you like them!
Mate i like a lot yours vídeos, you make It easy. Just one advice, use a stabilizer, Google photos have a free one i use It in my videos and It makes magic. Cheers!
banana worms are cultured the same way as micro worms but are only half the size.
You didn't do the promised part 4 ☹️
My favourite video
I can recommend these two papers about spawning and raising neon tetras: www.uwm.edu.pl/polish-journal/sites/default/files/issues/articles/kucharczyk_et_al._2010_0.pdf
And the second one on survival rates on different food citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/download?doi=10.1.1.944.7567&rep=rep1&type=pdf
Love your vides
Like my friend 👍🤗🙋♀️
Instead of peat moss, can coco peat be used?
Can it be done without infusoria, because i can't culture them, i have done many attempts without success
love it
I use first st bites also
I have a tank bigger than 10 gallon and not more than 15 gallon. I have plants, rocks, leaves, 4 tiny shrimps, 2 nerites and 10 neons. I noticed the neons are chasing each other. Idk if that is a sign of spawning or fighting? Idk what’s happening.
Do other tetra breed the same way? Add cold water and botanicals? Like embers black neons Rummy nose or bloodfin?
Any update on this batch spawning how many Fry's made it ?
part 4?
Can't you just pestle those first bites into a finer powder, also glow line tetras spawn very similar to neons, I'd make a 10 gal mix spawn tank that I could just vac the substrate to hatch tanks. Blank tanks or super fine light weight sand with java should be perfect for spawn medium and egg hides. Then just use peat with an airstone in a sock for the soften. Good luck as always! Remember to keep your new fry in the shallows, it helps their development a lot!
Hello, may i know how long is the duration from hatching until the marketable size?
what is the average temperature you had in your fry tank
no troubles with Tetrahymena infection?
Can breed all the tetras like this
NICE :D
Hmm they look like betta fry
😎
Coco moss necessary or just ph 6.5 enough ? Reproduction neon tetra fish
Keep it consistent
KeepingFishSimple thank you 👍
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Drink every time he says guys
little guys
Wow so tiny.
This would be the the jumpiest vid ever made. The stop start in editing has given me a headache. Smoother slower camera shots and spacing your speech would be much more enjoyable to watch as you have good content and info. Not having a go at you but just some constructive criticism for what it's worth. Cheers.
😺😸
The fry look like cartoons, their eyes are too big for their body
First!
