    This saved me such a headache! Thank you. I am not an electrician. Did pretty well with circuitry in school. But understanding household wiring has always been challenging for me and the instructions with this day/night switch were pretty useless. After day one of trying to figure it out myself, I watched this and had it done chop-chop on day 2 ;)

    Hi. Out of curiosity. Can you run the live wire on the load out side of the sensor. What i want to do is run a normal on and off switch as well as the sensor together. I'm worried about Live running backwards in the circuit and damaging the sensor as current isn't meant to run into the load out port.

    Hi There, thanks for your good instructions, I just need to know if there is any way to adjust the sensitivity of the photocell my photocell is about your the same type of what you showed on your video, but it activates when it is cloudy and stays on for all day and night, and I need to make it so it can only activate or turn the light on when it is absolutely dark, thanks in advance.

    • @Fandom-Faschion
      @Fandom-Faschion 7 месяцев назад

      Hi, Steve. A little late but there should be a little switch you can turn with a flat screw driver inside your sensor to set the sensitivity.

    And connect all three neutral ends at the bottom into at the junction box

    • @ecologicaltime

      250/line voltage = Amps for resistive loads
      In SA, 250W/230V= 1.08A so max 1Amp

    Hi....quick question if the sensor is not working for some reason ...will the lights not come on at all? And how will I detect if that is the problem?

    • @ecologicaltime
      @ecologicaltime  5 лет назад +1

      if the light sensor does not activate it will not send a turn on signal to the relay to allow the light to switch on. Cover the unit with a dark cloth / towel, the light should come on after a few minutes.

    Something is confusing me. You indicate 2 Live wires into the sensor, yet the diagram on the sensor indicates Looping the Load & the Neutral. To my mind, you then only need a Live Line and a neutral into the sensor. Why the confusion of the additional live line into the sensor? In Effect, the sensor breaks the power-in line to the light. The lack of light then causes the sensor to close switching the light on. Does feeding 2 live lines in, not actually cause a possible shorting action? How can I post my circuit diagram, for your advice? Please advise. Angus.

    • @ecologicaltime
      @ecologicaltime  2 года назад

      one live goes into sensor, then the "Load" wire is the live going to the light.
