    The Raptor R has a suspension that is in another world compared to the lariat. You couldn’t even make a regular F-150 handle like a Raptor R off road with all the mods you wanted. The frame it’s self on the R is different, very very different.

      Where did he say it wasn't?

    • @JROC734
      @JROC734 11 месяцев назад +4

      The Raptor is also ugly, and not everyone needs or wants a truck designed for highspeed O/R. The Raptors suspension limits its towing and payload compared to a F150 with either the tow package or max tow package. How many people benefit more from a desert racer setup as opposed to one made to tow/haul more?

    • @roniebonilla8611
      @roniebonilla8611 11 месяцев назад +2

      @@JROC734well, a lot of us watching the video here will probably disagree with that opinion, just like Justin, if we could afford it, it wouldn't even be a question. But we also get the truck that suits our needs. If you need to tow (bc none of us buy trucks like that to see how much you can fit in the back), you get a tow rig, but there are quite a bit of people that do get those for sheer fun.

    • @JROC734
      @JROC734 11 месяцев назад

      @@roniebonilla8611 well then rock out with your Glock out, I guess man. If you feel the need to buy it as a toy then spend your $ as you see fit. The reality is that 90% of the people living on the east coast who buy them have 0 need for what the factory claims they're intended for. You buy it because you think it's cool, and it's a status symbol, but you're willing to compromise practicality to ride in a tall/wide truck. Why is it that people with Raptors, TRX, or lifted trucks, running large/aggressive O/R tires, always have the cleanest trucks? My stock ride height, factory tire FX4 gets me in the woods, and through the fields just fine. Raptors, TRX's, and even ZR2's to some extent look tacky and gaulky. They certainly aren't clean, elegant looking trucks. A RST or High Country looks way better than a ZR2. A Laramie looks way better than a TRX. A King Ranch looks way better than a Raptor. A Tundra Platinum looks way better than a TRD PRO. A Titan Platinum looks way better than a PRO-4X. They look like big Tonka trucks or something. Plus they're (Raptors and TRX's) slow on the street relative to the power they're making, and if high single digit/low double digit MPG's are your thing then again you do you. My favorite O/R toys were always 2 stroke dirt bikes, but that's just me I guess.
      Also why is every time someone brings up towing when talking 1/2 tons everyone acts like if you need to tow your boat or Foxbody that you should just go buy you a 1 ton truck? (BTW my parents live about a 1/2 mile from me and do own a 18 F350 XLT FX4 302A PSD dually for when I need to tow really large loads) Why do I wish to compromise on ride quality, handling, cost of ownership, ease of living with a truck in crowded areas, etc, on a truck that's able to tow over 16 tons? Unless you go with the gasoline option in a 3/4 ton then your payload is no better than it is in a half ton, but a gasoline 3/4 doesn't tow like a diesel, gets poor MPG's, and is way slower than a 1/2 ton or diesel truck. We're comparing 1/2 tons here, and a F150 with the tow package or max tow package is rated to tow and haul considerably more than a Raptor. I have an 03 Lightning that has the drivetrain to tow great, just not the wheelbase, suspension, or tire setup to do so. A Whippled GEN3 Coyote crewcab 4WD truck running a proper tune (not some factory Whipple, ultraconservative tune) and E85 will wax fat on a stock Raptor R on the highway. You could likely mod the Raptor R, and a Predator is going to be a more robust engine for boosted, high HP, but HP for HP a Raptor R sitting on big/heavy 37's will not run with a FX4 sitting on 32's or now 33's. If 750-800 HP is all you need then a GEN3+ Coyote is plenty capable of supporting that HP level.
