I go to Richmond Park every week but I didn't know half this stuff. Excellent video with great editing and lovely shots. Fantastic stuff mate keep it up
Thanks mate :) It’s a lovely park, let me know if you start to notice any more of its wildlife! Try under the many logs and fallen trees, they’re like treasure troves of biodiversity.
London has a surprising amount of green spaces! Richmond is an incredible park and it looks like you had an amazing time! The deer make excellent landscape artist 😍 I love when you bring in the importance of trees and fungi, I am biased about the animals but you make it clear the importance that they have on the environment even when they’re decomposing! 💚
It’s my favourite place in the whole city, though I’m hoping to find some less-known spots of natural beauty to visit and document. Know of anywhere? I might do the Wetlands Centre or Kew as well. There’s a surprising amount of wildlife here 💛
Natural World Facts Bats, hedgehogs, slowworms, foxes, lots of birds and even Muntjac (although I haven’t seen one there!). Definitely worth a visit if you can 😊💚
What a beautiful video packed with cute animals images in their habitat and knowledgable author, guiding us with such a beautiful background music and a enjoyable narrative..... it is so very lovely to see a young guy with this wisdom and love for nature, very touching and a great example of what youth can do with love and positive mentality ...... awwww bless this wizard boy, Im going to subscribe ! My partner and me love going to Richmond park when is sunny and look for little quiet areas aways from lose dogs and big loud families that leave their rubbish and food on the grass, probably pee and POO in the little stream like in their country aghhhh so we hide away during weekends in this majestic amazing park... ....we love this place so much ! Thank you for such really beautiful and knowledgable video !!
Nice video, produced to your usual high standard, with excellent footage. I'm afraid I must take issue with your geography though Leo! 😆 You state near the beginning: "At the heart of London, at the very centre of the busy crowds and heavy traffic that worms its way through the city from dawn 'til dusk, there's an unexpected refuge to be found" Richmond Park is 13km from the middle of London!!! That's over 8 miles! We'll file that one under "Natural World Fables" shall we? 😆😂🤣 Otherwise brilliant 👍😎👍
Thanks, and oops apologies for that one! It’s often said that my emotive language and existential raving gets a bit carried away from other phrasing that might be more accurate, or... arguably, more helpful 😂😂 To be fair though, I live in central London and it was half an hour by tube, so my sense of location is slightly skewed by the modern convenience of public transport! But yes, yes, let’s open the Natural World Fables file 😂😂 I like telling stories, just not when I’ll inevitably claim the ‘Wondrously beauteous depths of the Amazon Rainforest lie within the bustling centre of East Croydon’.
Thank you for this amazing video. 🙏 I am visiting London and watching this video made me to make sure to go Richmond park before leaving. You have such a calm nice voice and obviously, a deep connection to nature. ❤
Nice video . Most of my childhood was spent here with my brother . My brother use to try and catch fish from a pond with his trainer shoes !!! lolzzzz .... we’ve seen green ring neck parrots 🦜 there too in trees .
Aw that’s such a lovely memory. I used to catch fish there too. Newts and all-sorts from the big ponds. Did you ever go hunting under logs for beetles and toads? It takes me back, such a lovely park!
There it is, my daily dose of calm. Thanks so much for making and sharing these videos. Yours are some of the most (if not the most) informative documentaries that I have ever seen. Keep up the great work!
DEFINITELY!! I’m very glad you mentioned this, as I’m likely moving to Southampton to study for 3 years starting next month (if I get the grades I need) and will be right next to the New Forest!! Many videos to be filmed there 😉
amazing video! I recently went and filmed a video showing the deer rut at Richmond on my channel, using this as the inspiration to visit in the first place. keep it up dude!
funfact: none of the deer in richmond are native the red deer is a diffrent subspecies from the native British red deer which is smaller then the western european red deer of richmond.
OMG so cool to see you showing us around :) thanks
Wonderful movie!😊 Thank you for sharing!Stay safe!~

Natural World Facts both those are beautiful places! I am also a fan of Hampstead Heath as I lived in North London :)
I’ve never been there, but now I think I definitely will! What kind of wildlife can be found there?
Natural World Facts Bats, hedgehogs, slowworms, foxes, lots of birds and even Muntjac (although I haven’t seen one there!). Definitely worth a visit if you can 😊💚
Sounds perfect!! I can’t wait to go, I’ve never seen a live hedgehog yet!
Bravo. I used to drive a bus around Richmond Park and Bushy, long before you were even born. Makes me a little homesick.
I recommend Bradgate Park as a place worth visiting. There’s lots of wildlife there as well

@@NaturalWorldFacts no hunting ! As I was scared of beetles and other creepy crawlies !! lolzzz
That’s understandable! 😂 The deer are beautiful, but they frighten me a little simply due to how strong they are.

Oh wow, didn’t know that. So were they imported, and where from?
Thanks by the way, I always learn something from your comments :)
@@NaturalWorldFacts yeah imported I got the fact from the national Trust
Do you know if the fallow deer are native?
@@NaturalWorldFacts no there native to Eastern Europe but the Romans and the Normans brought them to Britain
The two native deer are the British subspecies of the red deer and the roe deer
Is it Wild deer?
Greetings from Denmark
Yup, they roam freely and can be very aggressive during the Rut :)
I watch ur vids when on my break time and eating. But this vid doesn't match up with what I'm doing 😂😭(i was eating and there's close up worms)

I went to Richmond park but I didn’t see deer 😢
