The idea that difficulty is a ladder that you keep climbing tier by tier is but a dream, I've played many boosted T9 on other servers and while they've been an adventure, it was fun to play a "sprint" tier. As a world first contender, the easier a tier gets the more risks we need to take. Greedy positioning and downsize on healer globals spent to DPS instead. So even if the content is indeed easy and could have been more challenging, for my guild it was still a lot of theorycrafting and executing it. Hopefully T9 won't be 16w+ however!
@@anfallwotlk9797 Yea, thats the nice thing about speedrunning: even on "boring tiers" like naxx you can still always push more to keep it interesting. That speed competition is nearly completely adaptable to whatever difficulty the raid content is set to. If it is too easy, you can start sending people on solo missions or pre-pulling trash into bosses, etc. My only concern with this tier (apart from delaying icc too long) is that I don't see there being much room to push large optimizations since there is no trash and you can't pull bosses early or start a new boss fight early. Not a ton of creative speedrun strats available, just a lot of incremental small optimizations that I believe you guys have already nailed down for the most part. I'm sure people will figure out ways to speed up faction champs but the rest I can't see improved much over this run besides just gear upgrades
