Zfg cheating? Nah, there's no way. He has never cheated, surely would never cheat in any game and he would never ever abuse certain unintended mechanics that allow you to dupe stuff in any game.

The whole chicken/cuccos debacle ruffles my feathers. How on earth could you refer to a cucco as a chicken, it's clearly a different species entirely. I will be posting a 45 minute video essay response in the coming weeks to address this misconception that is deeply seeded within the casual playerbase.

So I ordered a 150 dollar 12-hole ocarina when I was like 15.... I was so shocked at how hard it was to play lmao, even for someone who had lots of childhood lessons on string and wind instruments (Upright Bass and Oboe). 12 years later, at the ripe old age of 27, I can confidently say I have finally learned how to play at a semi-decent level. I can play like 1/4 of the OOT soundtrack without sounding like shit.
TL;DR
it took 12 years for me to be decent at the ocarina even with extensive musical training. Shit is hard. Don't buy one thinking you'll just be able to pick it up and play zelda songs lol. Ocarinas are EXTREMELY sensitive to the amount of breath you put through them.

Doubt this will ever get back to ZFG, but I would love to see him and a few other speedrunners do a challenge where they take speedrunners from another game that have NEVER touched Ocarina of Time, and then they teach their speed runner enough that in a race, their runner comes out on top.

Think about how "normal" it is to pledge allegiance to a flag, sing along to a national anthem at a sporting event, and worship the police like they are gods. Really, it's just the same as spamming the chat of your favorite streamer with the same 4 emotes.
Parasocial admiration, either for the state or a streamer, manifests itself under the guise of "normality" in so many facets of life it is astounding. Ironically this effect ends up stripping the individuality from those who would otherwise claim to value individuality the most.

I stopped saying the pledge because I reflected on it. I concluded that the way kids are roped into it means they are saying and internalizing something they don't even understand. It's coercive.
On the other hand, if a song randomizes to Ganon's theme during a ZFG rando? I'm monka-ing that S. ZFG climbs that wall? Woah, YCCT?? And when it's the end, I'm gonna FrankerZ with everyone else. Not every instance of coming together for something is bad herd mentality. It's just nice to be part of something a bit bigger in a fun way. Is this some massive part of my identity? No, of course not. But with all of our differences, it's cool to be in on the same silly inside jokes and watch the rando shenanigans together. Sometimes it's nice to just be 'chat' for a while. :)

if you watch the vod or were there live, you will notice that during his ghoma fight after its going bad, it turns worse when his hookshot aim sucks. but he cut it out. not saying anything, but i just thought it was a funny detail.

Hyrule Warriors pronounces cucco as coo-coh, not cuck-oh like everyone else.
"Cuck-oh" is closer to the intention of the original, since they're called "kokko" in Japanese. But neither one is really... right, per se. Calling them cockos would be closer, heh.
コッコ is pronounced "coke koh"; same vowel sound twice. "Koo koh" would be クコ. "Cuck koh" is wrong for the Japanese, but could be right for the English... but it's closer to the Japanese than what you said.
@@aninymouse1651 The reason I said it is because it makes more sense in English to call them something based on what we actually call roosters in real life, and I think to an English speaker, "coke oh" just sounds like "cocoa." That's part of localization more so than transliteration.
