Then a lead singer who will perform all this music with his selected band! And that would be the only music we would have to listen to for four years! That would be musicians working to produce the music we really want… And not this anarchy where musicians can compose whatever they want! And we just have to accept whatever those libertarians put out on the streaming services!
I’m all in on trying out a federal rock band for at least one term! Although I would suppose it would end in some groupies overthrowing the national rock band… or at least someone setting a guitar on fire and trashing a hotel room.

No. We actually got a proven product of substance that we like and works for us with the musicians/Rock Stars we follow... THEY DELIVER.Their talent is what they are. Politicians?? Don't EVEN get me started. You have to uncover their Corporate donars, and lobbyists to find out who they serve. No comparison. Ones an artist where u know what your going to get, ones a puppet that survives on draining your money and delivering empty promises while serving us up to lobbyists.
How do they work for you yet their priorities are reelection fundraisers and political fights to bring down the other side ? In fact this congress has been rated the least productive .
Iowa is 90% white, and at the caucus, voters said one of the issues that mattered most to them is “immigration”.

Well, she's being accused of a deficiency she can't do anything about. Having lived in Iowa for a semester I can tell you- there's no reason why anyone would want to move there, yet an accusation that Iowa is keeping itself white somehow through racism always seems to underlie this observation about their lack of diversity, and it isn't quite fair or true.

Iowa caucus is like burning man, but a lot less fun.
As a 30+ year Iowan, we shouldn't be first. Storm Lake is pretty diverse, and Iowa City is a UNESCO World Literacy site, but that's about it. The rest have been voting against their own best interests for generations. It's maddening to watch unfold.

What’s hard is seeing how this has aged four years later. Back then they were full of hope with all the Dems in town and with the near neck-and-neck tie of Bernie & Mayor Pete (w/Buttigieg edging over Sanders). That gave us all a lot of hope. And, of course, we are grateful that at least Biden won over Trump in 2020.
But now fast forward four years. After all that has transpired since 1/6/21, it is utterly depressing that Iowa Conservatives haven’t learned squat. They STILL chose Trump.
I suppose I hoped that the GOP in Iowa were better people than they turned out to be. No, I don’t think most of the candidates are much better than Trump (certainly not Haley or DeSantis). But I still hoped they’d at least choose ANYONE but him.

@@lazyperfectionist1 Not sure. I just looked it up and found out CC is announcing something about the show next week. They had said something before about hiring a permanent host in 2024, but then never gave us anything else, so a lot of us thought maybe they weren't going to. Maybe they will be choosing someone. Maybe the audience can vote for their favorite. Could be anything. I guess we find out next week.
When you can barely keep your civil discourse going at the mere suggestion that another state go first, maybe don't use civil discourse as your argument.

Why should any state be first? Living in Oregon, we have our primary in May, too late to have any effect. I would rather see a national primary, every state doing it at the same time, just like the general election.

@@MrGarfield900 yeah I enjoyed him, but his comedy style was made for TikTok or stand up. He liked to do voices that were just dumb. His jokes were always surface level. He rarely offered the insight that made me a fan of the show under Jon Stewart. You talk like everyone was a huge fan. The show's viewership sank by 65% during his tenure. He was mediocre, that's it.
