She sounds so emotionally responsible and mature. She appeared to be very well prepared for her flight. That airport was busy, and she was also on center line the entire time, for takeoff and landing.
Yes she was very prepared & pumped for this moment she definitely made us proud!.
ikr. 16 and got up at 430am to drive 1.5 hours to achieve her goal. What a beautiful young lady. My daughter is 17 ; they grow up so fast. Wasn't I just changing her diaper like last week?

I don't know you but I'm very proud of you I used to live in Long Island a long time ago when I was a little kid now I'm 61 I fly on the flight simulator but seeing you do your landing really makes me proud of you and I hope you continue your life in aviation and become a captain one day at a major airlines my dad worked for the airlines he was in the air cargo business I flew most of my young life and I love aviation and I also got involved in aviation by fueling jets at a little small private airport where I met a lot of pilots and I also loaded aircraft for delta airlines down in Melbourne FL an ending I would just like to say you go girl the sky 's the limit and I hope you have success in your life happy contrails.

OMG! SHE GOES TO MY SCHOOL! SHE IN 11 GRADE! I SAW THIS VIDEO IN MY SOCIAL STUDIES CLASS! I LEARNED THAT SHE IS VERY SMART! (I think she she is graduating this year) I’m in 6th grade, but I’ve seen her in the hallways!

What an absolute BLESSING for all of those young folks!!! I'm not pilot at all, but couldn't help but notice that ATC was doing line-up-and-waits on the active runways when the students are performing their first solo flights!?!?!? Ahhhhh....

Great job. That is not an easy airport for a first solo; a lot of potentially confusing radio traffic. You did a superb job. Congratulations.
Consider: in most states (USA) she is too young to operate a motor vehicle by herself on public roads. Yet she can operate an aircraft by herself, and does so quite well.

Excerpt from the poem High Flight by John Gillespie Magee Jr., a WW II Canadian fighter pilot. This is just the first and the last verse. The whole poem is definitely worth the time it would take to find it on the web.
It was used as a sign off for many local TV stations when they shut down at night decades ago. I've heard it more times than I can count.
While we're on the subject of hoodies, I would buy a UYA hoodie in a heartbeat. I bet I'm not the only one.
You could put "Ground Crew" on it to distinguish it from participating members hoodies.

i enjoyed the vid and a great job of flying for first solo. i remember mine well and it was over 50 yrs ago, she is so calm. i did noticed a big problem that if not corrected will cause her a lot of problems. at no time when talking to tower or ground did she say who she was. it didnt seem to be a problem at that airport but at an other one, she will be in trouble and i would hate to see that happen. it will damage her confident in her self. hope her CFI will work on this with her.
