Ehhhh. I'd say far from "Home Alone" Kevin stayed in the house the entire time. (Or at least on his block). This trailer, the girl, seems to be all over the city, with no other people (as they were most likely killed/captured), and it's just her running for her life.
This is more like I Am Legend without the dog. Or even the end of Resident Evil with Alice holding that shotgun in the street. But Home Alone? Nope. Disagree.

Having Kaitlyn Dever leading absolutely lends a premise such as this credibility. When I saw it was her plopped into this scenario, it made me happy as hell. Her skills will make this worth watching.

Reminds me of 'A Silent Place' and Mel Gibsons alien thriller 'Signs' - both brilliant pieces of movie making.
It's definitely more like "Signs" actually, that movie was a masterpiece!
This also reminded me of Dark Skies.
A Silent Place, where indestructible aliens can only be defeated with a simple feedback loop and a rifle but somehow destroy the entire worlds military.
That reminds me got to go watch the pitch meeting 😅

This film is 10/10. It's odd, uneasy, thought-provoking and well executed. The director manages to put you right there in the terror/fascination. Loved it.

It looks and sounds like the same creatures from A Quiet Place. Are we finally going to get a back story as to why they’re here? In those movies they seemed like a hoard of life killers to pave the way for whatever higher intelligence dumped them there. Showing both that creature and alien abduction scenes here just strengthens my theory.

It looks good. I like how she used an old telephone from the 70s n 80s. That brought back memories. I love when they make movies pertaining to the old days.

@@RoboWatchgirl yes I have, and I’ve seen the different versions of War of the Worlds too. My problem is suspending disbelief for something so silly. I love Sci-fi but these movies are lazy. If we encounter aliens in this manner they’ll either dominate us so suddenly and ferociously that we’d never know what happened or they’d make peaceful first contact, none of this ridiculous messing around. Close Encounters, Fire in the Sky, Dark Skies… it’s all silly human fears and projection. Will I see this? Maybe when it’s on Prime or Netflix, maybe.

Idk why ppl complain? Its an alien movie i was waiting for. Exactly like that. A girl gets terrorized by aliens in a small town. Simple but effective. The trailer scared me, ngl. Exspecially the beginning in the bedroom. Jezz, i got chills.
Sure, you probably wont get deeper meaning behind it, but if it looks suspensfull and scary. Sometimes thats all what it needs right?
And before ppl compare this to "a quiet place" its an ok movie, but this sounds more threatening to me, even i dont like the look of the alien in the last shot.
But beside that, hopefully as good (in terms of scary and suspensful) as the trailer shows

You see the entire Alien in the first 3 minutes only to learn that the Alien just wanted to get your Tiktok and Instagram. I swear people fall for anything 😂😂. It's a horrendous movie trying to disguise itself as a horror sci-fi when its just ET with no dialogue.

I love how aliens are always portrayed as animal like buffoons running around naked but they can somehow operate and manufacture a spaceship beyond human technology.

Only humans are ashamed of their naked bodies.
And odds are, that if alien life does come here, it's to harvest resources, because they're likely going from planet to planet, harvesting what they need to survive living in outerspace.
I mean, cloths are an invention of necessity. Probably a complex process as to how we evolved this way. Maybe the defect of having less body hair spurred early hominids to develop cloths. Those who were smart enough to do so survived. Those who weren't, died. Then the smart ones who survived further invented tools to subjugate and replace the dumber hairier ones. If we would have evolved both naturally resilient AND smart, maybe we'd be strutting around naked as well.
While this looks awesome and I can’t wait to watch it, I find it hard to believe she lives in a rural area without any kind of firearm (assuming this is taking place in the US). I grew up and currently live in such an area and I can’t think of a single house in my county that I doesn’t have a fire arm for a fact. Would it work here? Probably not, but seeing a character in a situation like this using common sense and at least trying wouldn’t hurt

This movie is pandering to fragile white male egos who think aliens who've achieved interstellar travel would bother to break into a random suburban home unarmed. It speaks to the ubiquitous fantasy of many white fragile surburban men who dream about a dark, unknowable entity breaking into their home, giving them full legal standing to eliminate the shadowy threat in any way necessary. It's the same pandering Fox News employs with their constant drumbeat of 'Suburban Antifa Raiding Parties'. THEY'RE COMING TO GET YOU!!!! No. No, they're not morons.

As soon as I saw the trailer it reminded me of a scene from Steven Spielberg's 80's movie "Close Encounters of the Third Kind."
Its very interesting when its more on movements and actions are use rather than more dialogs in an entire movie..

I think this UFO/Alien horror movie was inspired by stories about Alien Abductions and hositle or scary encounters with aliens in remote towns and villages, and yet the recent Peruan alien encounters could inspire another UFO/Alien horror movie as well a documentary movie about what happened in Peru that has recently gone viral this year.
I've been waiting for a good alien movie for a while. Toss seems like fun.
