Michael treating the crew as the peers they are is the real respect. It's like how I will treat labourers on site as peers when all the old guys treat them like broom pushers

Yeah I agree. But not just older actors either. They come in and they’re all business and no play. But you’ll learn a lot from them. Their kind of attitude is something that you’ll adapt later after you have a family and just want get this done so you can get home.

Man, I want to see Tom in play an older Superman. I know, it is the last thing he wants to do, especially after his fantastic epilogue in CRISIS. "Still stronger." Awesome. He and Jon Cryer had really good chemistry. Of course it would habe been great with Rosie, but the scene would have most likely been different, as I don't know if Smallville's Clark would hit The President of the United States.

It does happen with certain actors though most I’ve worked with as an extra and stand-in have been amazing. It’s always memorable when talent is nice and it makes you want to work with them again and wish them continued success. What Tom said was the exact case once, but as extras, stand ins, crew etc you stay focused on the job to be done. Sometimes talent will stick to their trailer and only emerge when necessary, do their scenes and disappear. Others will hang with everyone between scenes, and if their name starts with Mark Ruffalo, possibly introduce themselves to everyone and goof around. He is definitely one of the great ones 😎
I loved the way Tom described the elderly actors and how they just want to do their scenes in peace. He described it so nicely. Instead of being all, "Grumpy Old Men". Much appreciated.
On another note, idky Michael would be surprised that Ironside didn't like him. He was a huge joker on set, and Ironside was intense. Down-to-business-long-career-type. He wouldn't care about "Austin Powers jokes and farting". That's like saying a 50 year old guy likes going to a college bar. Absolutely not. 😂

Michael was Flash and Michael Ironside was Darkseid in the JL animated. In Smallville Ironside played General Lane. I assume you know who Rosey played.
He's about exactly apparently what I figured he would be like. I love Michael Ironside as an actor. He's voice some really good characters like dark side and he rocked starship troopers and everything else is pretty well played in except when he played a vampire and that wasn't his fault. It was the show!
I might be mistaken but I thought I saw a short where mr Ironside had a loved one with possibly cancer or some really serious problem and while doing a movie with Arnie they bonded and the Terminator looked out. perhaps there is a connection
Annie wasn't in T4. But they both were in Total Recall.
Yeah a lot of the older actors that are now in their 60s and up usually had that demeanor.
I think in general it’s an old age thing. Hence so many jokes or comments about older ages get cranky or set in their ways or similar to what Tom said about Ironside.
Let's not kid ourselves, theres a reason he plays the part of a grumpy old asshole so well.
It's kinda funny he almost shares name with Iron Mike Tyson while being total oposite. Tyson got silly voice but intimidating hands while Ironside got intimidating voice but silly hands that keeps getting amputated in several of his movies. (Starship Troopers, Total Recall, The Maschinist)

Funny thing is that Micahel is around the same age Ironside was then but I don't think he'd be the same.
Ironside was 54 when he started on the show in 2004 (he appeared in 3 episodes up to 2010); Welling is 47 now.

I’m not all that surprised that the Flash and Darkseid don’t get along.
Ironside used to be a roofer so he probably has a “Get in, get out” mindset
Tom Welling for many years I've had a script concept I think you would be perfect for that has not been done yet ! Because I know you are capable of doing something that you really never considered or thought to try ! But I must have watched every episode of Smallville at least half a dozen times over ! I don't know if you respond to comments at all from fans off the show you have done ? ! But if you're ever at a convention such as Toronto Comic-Con ? ! In which I know sometimes they ask you to be there to sign autographs ! I'd like to run it past you in person if that's possible ! Yes it would run along the lines of a graphic novel ! But no you do not have superpowers other than what you already have which is Grand intelligence , raw human strength and yes that other common sport we have in common which is target shooting ! Not every fan knows that about you ! Yes I would include some fan favorite actors from Smallville Laura Vandervoort , Kristen Kreuk you are a good friend Michael Rosenbaum ! Because I respect you all as in terms of your intelligence and talent as actors and actresses ! But know this would not be a TV series this would definitely be an action movie possibly a trilogy ! Because I've always wanted to see the four of you in an action movie in theaters and eventually in everyone's home theater after at least 3 months of course ! If any of you find actors read this and are interested ? Please let me know and I will make the effort in some way however you wish to run it past you ! If by chance I get to have a supporting role that would be cool to 😁 !
