17 years ago this was posted and i still visit this song quite often! john stainer (the drummer) has always been one of my favorites since he was in Helmet. a true badass
I was front and center at a Tomohawk concert in the early 2000's at the 9:30 club in DC. I didn't drink, and had a normal sized prostate back then, so I saw the Melvins open, as well as Mike Patton stare at me a death-stare with his hairnet. Other than that, the most monumental thing about the concert that night was that it was the first time I undestood I had lost some ear-cells.
Correction: Mike is one of the best vocalists in the world, and he works with some of the best musicians. As far as i can tell, he makes music with people he vibes with.

Mike Patton is wearing a hairnet because he can. There are few singers nowadays (Maynard James Keenan, Trent Reznor) that have put in as much time and dedication to their craft, and have gotten to the point in their careers where they can get away with anything because everything they do is solid gold.
Mike is underated if anything. Not many muscians have sang in funk metal, jazz, death metal, avant garde, art rock, blues, easy listening, acoustic, pop and all the other projects he has done. I can imagine this is what Les Claypool is like on LSD and caffiene.
@GreyCalx The first show i ever saw was at the LA Forum with Tomoahawk and Tool when I was 11....and trust me, I will never be the same. Maynard and Patton at once...dude, i cant even begin to explain it
I had the opportunity to see them live like 7 years ago in Portugal. Besides being an amazing singer, Patton is a person with amazing culture. There's not much North Americans speaking portuguese (which he did). And ofc, Tomahawk was a killer concert with ppl going insane. Now I have to wait for the Faith No More tour to return here to Portugal so I can see this genious man perform again.
@GRandPavisStalker Epic post man. I'm with you. Mike Patton is one of the most accomplished vocalists in modern music. His range is versatility is unsurpassed. Btw, screaming correctly, without loosing your voice so you can sing soft pretty melodies after like he does, is incredibly difficult. MP is just as advanced vocally, if not more advanced, then top opera singers. If someone disagrees, i'd love to see you try sing like him, record the results and post them here on the tube.
I would add that, in the case of Peeping Tom, which is a kind of All-star Hip-hop/Rock band, Mike actually complains about the impossibility to stabilize a crew. Though, I agree totally w/arstyfairie: when he is committed, u can usually see his touch in anyone's work. Go on Mike, your work is awesome!
@GreyCalx Agreed my friend i was so luckily blessed in a form of Mr. Patton and Tool. It was in the shape of Fantomas and so under received they were i couldn't believe it.
@Kankuro1138 there's a limit to how much one should try to change the definition to something at once. this is going directly from "music" to gargles and screeching. people aren't going to be expecting something like this and it has to be eased into. i hope that the typical music we listen to never will degrade into this.
and i just Scared the Shit out of myself thinking that up and typing it because i think it would be the MOST SCARIEST FUCKING MENTAL VISION any human could possibly have !

its so refreshing to see something original. we need more mike pattons in the world
Are you still alive

This is the attitude. This is the sound. This is the guy. This is perfect.
mike patton the best musician of the world!!!
Correction: Mike is one of the best vocalists in the world, and he works with some of the best musicians. As far as i can tell, he makes music with people he vibes with.
@@th3unmaker there are projects and some film's soundtracks that he produces himself. So that's make him a musician too.
gives me goosebumps watching Patton perform. needless to say.."he's feelin it"
They all on the same drugs
Mike! He’s a freaking musical schizophrenic & I’ve been following his brilliant madness since Bungle! He just keeps doing his thang!
As a Tool fan, i'm asking you don't lose faith in us all. I love all of patton's work :)
I can't be lieve this was recorded live. the quality is AMAZING.
first mike patton moment?
It's weird to love someone you've never met, but I love Mike Patton!
Got to love Mike Patton, really :')
This shit is insane, i've not seen a band perform with this kind of intensity in a long ass time
lost how many times I've watched these two videos- so many thanks Arstyfairie08.
What a lovely noise......
Just discovered this band a couple of days ago. This is sufficiently whacked enough that I may have to buy the CD
he is the one of the few men i feel no guilt loving.
Mike Patton's perfect vocals makes dogs heads explode!
MY
GOD
THIS
IS
AWE
SOOOOOOME!!!
that's a fuckin' great singer, what a voice !!!!
Flashback
The dolls, the hide and seek
We dreamed of better things
In the tall weeds
I rolled with you
Flashback
Silhouette of the memory
You're eyes are getting heavy
And when I speak
You sleep on cue
3, 2, 1
Did they make you wear a dress did they
Held you down and tickled you did they
Did they laugh and make you watch did they
They wish they had a little girlie
Come closer take a look inside
Flashback
Blueprints have been erased
Matchbooks, butterflies, mornings
The grass was wet
I rolled with you
Flashback
Tentecles of my spirit grow
Sit back, relax and hope
The second time ain't like the first
I'm a schoolboy why don't you teach me
Bend over and we'll hush the squealing
Put on the mask and dance for Daddy
Wait for the world to say it's sorry
You show me yours, I'll show you mine
Flashback, flashback
Listen to the song my blood is singing
Listen to the song my blood is drivin', drivin', drivin', drivin' at you

I have never seen mike give less than 110% in any performance. can't say that about many people.
Mike is underated if anything.

Plus, dude's zombies in Left for Dead are for me top voice acting in games, ever.
@GreyCalx

Going to see him play in Melbourne with Bungle next month with my 13 year old daughter. Being an awesome dad and all… 😎
Patton could wear a tutu, leotards and Mouseketeer ears and he'd still kick everyone's teeth in.
LOVE THE UNIFORMS
AWESOME MUSIC

Most unique music you'll ever hear + a freakin' Hair net FTW

Mike Patton=Legend!!
This guy is a little like Dali... He don´t do drugs... he IS drugs.
+Marcelo dos Santos well said!
you´re right :D
he does coke and drinks alchohol.... and occasionally smokes cigs
this "guy" is Mike Patton , a musical genius
Dali was a Fascist.
brilliant
Wow this is even better than the studio version! I live Mike ofc but that drummer is awesome too
Awesome jam !
Soooo good
AMAZING
i feel that a band of mike patton les claypool buckethead and neil peart would be the greatest thing to ever grace music
I would change Buckethead by Josh Homme.-
cronopioArgento
really? Josh Homme...I love kyuss as much as the next guy but when i seen him stop a show cause someone heckled him....fuck that guy.
I'd rather see Danny Carey playing drums
That would be the shit
Just buckethead n mike patton alone would come up with some crazy ass trippy type shit that would melt people's minds
I think this live version shows more from both Patton and the band. Fuck yea!

MIKE IS A MASTER!!!
Mike Patton is a GOD!!!
People who dislike this piece of art have a special place in hell
The drummer makes me think of the waiter with the black eye in fight club
the musical equivalent of salvador dali. haha, I wish my music classes were like this...
Does anybody know if there are any copies from this performance, in higher resolution, on the internet?
@thorhildurol damn, i can't imagine PATTON, LOMBARDO, OSBORNE and DUNN opening for korn...

He's got the sleazy look down like a boss.

THEY WISH THEY HAD A LITTLE GIRLIE!!!
Most brutal scream ever.
I love how fucking intense this is, especially that scream at 2:23
2:23 how I feel having to go to school everyday lol.
seriously?
Patton/Tool is like a match made in heaven. If I were to see them live together I'd instantly disappear in a big cloud of foam man-juice
it's funny because they'd get relentlessly booed on that tour.
