Looks nice and warm. Meanwhile, we've got 60 degrees over here in northern Europe, both in the air and in the sea. On good days we get 80 degrees. I need more Florida in my life!
Love this video, always looking for clear water and calm places to raft up. Currently in upstate NY, watching the snow come down, slowly losing my mind. Ha! Now that you have boated much of SW Florida, what area would be your favorite place to both live and boat? Weighing both land (Nice town, reasonable real estate) and sea opportunities (places to anchor, restaurants and other places to tie up).....Looking for either the boat on a back yard lift, or at a close convenient marina.
Cape Coral has the most affordable canal homes available that we can find. The waters in the immediate area aren’t blue like Boca Grand due to the Caloosahatchie River flow, but can get to nicer waters once you get away from the river outflow.
You know what would be cool about this type of video is if you could mention the coordinates to get to places like this. Last weekend, before hurricane Idalia, we were at Cabbage Key and headed up to try and find the sand bar. No luck, maybe the tide was still high or I went to the wrong spot. Either way great video, and good to hear that Happy Ours and the pontoon did well during the storm.
Fun trip. I went through there on my reverse version of your trip to FL (we went from Palmetto, FL to CT). Really glad I watched your series before my trip, it was very helpful. Oh, and don’t ever watch a Sailrite instructional video on RUclips. You’ll instantly know the soundtrack. 😂
I THANK you two for bringing back some very fond memories I didn't get there when I was down in PG last October I had a rental 24' SeaPro from my boat club at fisherman's village but just didn't make it to the sand bar was the burger boat there the same day? I found out about the sandbar back in 2002 from a guy at fishin Frank's and drove my 18.5 Searcy there with a humminbird fish finder that was a bit tricky I beleave the old railroad trestle was used to transport people and phosphate from Boca Grande anyway be back down next month for some home hunting and R&R Have a stellar day!!😎👍
I love your videos. It is so great to see a loving couple living life! Keep it up!. Can you add some kind of bias to your depth finder so that it reads true depth? Like 0 = 2"
@@AdventuresofHappyOurs you’re right. The island is a little ways before the sewer plant. right above our home marina. We call the inside of that island ducky Bay, L O L. Always lots of ducks floating around in there. Dropped a anchor in there a few times to just sleep on the boat
@@AdventuresofHappyOurs it’s a small world isn’t it. Around here they call the twin Bridges the Dolly Parton bridge. Believe it or not you can drive your boat inside of that island easily. You will have about 12 feet of water under your keel from either end
The ICW goes from Carrabelle/Apalachicola to Texas. From Panama City Beach to Orange Beach Alabama there’s some great areas. Crab Island in Destin is beautiful when the tide is in and a major party spot during the summer months. Lots of other good beach areas in the Destin/Fort Walton Beach area. Google it for some good photos.
You will have to make a trip to Dry Tortugas Fort Jefferson, sometime , it's a little bit of open water trip. I have a SeaRay 36' keep my boat Naples FL. I go four times a year.
Awesome trip Awesome sandbar 💙⚓️🛟
From Canada. Live there 6 months of the year. Beautiful area. Awesome for boating and bikes.

Great video captain I definitely need to drive my boat down there for the weekend looks like a great place. 👍
Love ❤you channel. The water is Aqua in Honeymoon Island in Dunedin. I’m also from Nassau County, Long Island, NY. Be Safe on the Water. Dave

The boats are epic in Florida 😊
"Happy wife, Happy life" seems to apply here.
Love your vids.. my inspiration for a bigger boat.
Headed down to St. Petersburg next weekend to take my son to college. Can’t wait to see the water.
It's just like the Colorado River at Picasso to Lake Martinez. Party Party Party!
Love how Matey peers out over the bow as a lookout! I hope the Admiral uses sunsceen out there.Have fun!
Yea I caught that with Matey after watching video. He loves the boat and all there is to see! Yes on the sunblock!
The Admiral's tatas are burnt!
I predict another trip to Dog Island for Matey!
Beautiful. 😊😊😊

One thing we didn’t like about Boca Sandbar is there was no dry land. You wade around in 2-3’ of water. Matey is only 1’ tall. Lol
Great video, very well done. Thank you.

Lol. I have to change the tracks up a bit.
Glad to see you guys having fun ….I recently was up on Cape Cod got out on a boat for some fishing ….made me miss the boat life

That water is amazing
Just amazing thanks for sharing
Our go to sandbar cool video.
Come to Italia if you want to see clear water!
That’s a long cruise! I may need some extra cans of petrol. Lol
Dumped the rope combo and wemt full chain on out boat last year. What a difference 50lbs makes laid out when on the hook.

Great sandbar! Only sandbar we have is at the beginning of the Erie/Mohawk River sewer plant outlet for treated water. Lol
There is that little island between locks 6 and 7! I see boats there often.

Nice! We kayaked to that island from under the twin bridges. Passed it many times in our travels.

Keep heading north. It gets better in the panhandle! 😊
I don’t know much about that part of florida. Where are the go to spots ?

love it
Last week the water was sooo much better the other side of the bridge is the best spot .
Good to know. We tried making it back a couple weeks later but weather turned. We’ll probably be back soon with our pontoon.

Yes that’s on the short list!
Looks like the East Grand Traverse bay minus the salt.
I have to take a rip up there. Probably an early start from Cape Harbour.
Love your videos! Thank you for sharing your adventures! When are you guys heading back to Key West?
We already purchased a key west express ticket as they were on sale. Can use it anytime until the end of 2024. We’re thinking next spring.
Hello cap. And that water clarity is not even close to bahamas, wait till you make ot there, you will remember this chat.
Navigate safe cap
One day bud!
Love your videos, I've been boating for years and have a Carver now, was wondering if you guys are ever going to take your boat to the Bahamas?
We hope one day to make it to the Bahamas, Bimini and key west. Need lots of time for that!
💙🆒.
Day three of your vacation, party hardy the admiral says
Oh ya well see the old man says lolol
