- Cleveland.com reporter Hannah Drown had the chance to fly with the Blue Angels in an F/A-18 Hornet over Lake Erie. The Blue Angels will be flying in the Cleveland Air Show September 1-3, 2018. She passed out and puked. Video courtesy the Blue Angels.
This pilot is a class act. He seems like a lot of fun to be around, and he never belittled her for passing out or vomiting. He just lifted her spirits by asking "Yeah, but you had fun, right?"
lazylank LtCdr Andre Webb. He left the angels suddenly and early, I’m not sure why. He seemed great.
@@drnogueiras8783 Thanks for the info. Whatever he is doing, I hope he is well.
They both were great
Pretty sure most of us would do one or the other...
Yo he VIOLATED her!
I’m gonna go back to school, study meteorology and broadcasting, get a job as a weatherman and then get my ride in an F18 then quit
Or a big RUclipsr cause Dude Perfect got to fly with the Blue Angels a few months ago
Meteorology is a suuuuuuuuuper hard degree tbh, and it's also a bit oversaturated.

@@maninthezoo what?
U can do them privately for a couple grand
I don't know if these reporter types who get these rides by the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds have any idea how special it is to do this. Lifelong aviation buffs would participate in a death match to get the chance.
You have never lied my friend.
The thought of my being in with a Blue Angel or T-bird, is on the same plateau in hitting the mega millions.
In Pensacola, we're able to see the Blues practice twice a week from NAS Pensacola. Everybody I know would puke their guts out on national tv for a ride with one.
I would give anything......

Northerngulf just went to the show today
Kept pulling G’s so he didn’t have to hear “oh my gosh” anymore .... 🤣
Exactly...shes annoying asf
She did real good though.
Well it's a pretty fucking cool experience in her defense

Nah not really you’re just a dickhead.
Hahaha Hahaha!!!
Must be nice, I spent 20 years in the Air Force never was just given an incentive ride, maybe I should have been a reporter.
Yeah, my incentive flight involved a c-5 yanking and banking over Kandahar at night...I'm good
My guess is you aren't blond and properly equipped, so much for your privilege.
Thanks for doing time in our defense
Delilah Puddingstash A come on you never got to go in a fast jet in all your time ??? I can’t believe that. They should have given you a whole day in a fast jet for doing 20 years in. Thanks for keeping the free world safe.
I'd pay good money for half the time. These dipshit local news anchors always getting a ride is straight BS
Same here...oh well
Puke or no puke, she got to do something I’ve always dreamed of. Took guts to film it and make it public. Good job young lady.
He hit her G spot
Luckily she mach blocked herself

I don’t care what anyone says - that’s 45 minutes of madness for a person and she pretty much handled it like a badass
This guy really worked her. Over 7 gs several times. He knew she was toast. She did well tho. Just not sure she realized how privileged she was to be in that seat.
She probably made the mistake of telling them “Oh yeah my father served in the Army”
You can tell when he first asks her if she’s ready, she says I’m ready- he’s like “O Ok then” 0:10
He did not pull 7 g's. I'd say around 4 is what he was pulling.
@@kris54241 The vIdeo literally says they hit 7.3 Gs....
@@BeHempy yeah, I watched it. Imo, they definitely didn't.
As a lifelong aviation buff who wanted to be a fighter pilot as a kid, I think a ride in a fighter jet would leave me in tears from being such an emotional experience
$700-2,500 USD in at least florida and Texas will get you in an F-16 and a few MIGs. I flew in a MIG in Australia. Until a few years ago , for 20k euro, you could go to Ukraine i think, and fly in a MIG, break sound barrier and fly to the stratosphere and look out into space
Me too just let a brown eyed woman steal my dreams
I did it in an F-104 out of Florida. It was awesome!
Hanna never told her husband 'oh my gosh ' this many times ever.

She was amazing. She was completely comfortable and never complained. She got sick but still kept going. Kudos ❤️👍
Kept going? What was she gonna do...get out? Eject? 😂
These pilots have stomach’s and nerves of steel. It’s amazing they can handle the pressure of the jet and still concentrate flying the jet.
How well these pilots have fun. they fly the toy they always dreamed of, have fun in them and pay them a good salary. I am very proud of the quality of these pilots. Viva the United States of America and its glorious military.
And 99% of what they do is not flying, but a desk job.

Hahaha..... no kidding!!
right. lol
I wonder if she truly realizes how lucky she is to have experienced this.
What a trooper she is.
I’ve had personal hands on time with this Angel. It was #7 before they transitioned to to the E’s and F’s.
Good for her!! I think my heart would stop beating, and that would be that! Takes alot of courage to sit through that without being trained or used to it.
Leonard Dame This month she’s trying the Dunk Tank in Survival Training!
That’s one roll..2..oh...when he realized she passed out I was laughing so hard 3:06
I know!! I was snort laffin with tears rollin!! Absolutely LOVE this pilot, and I think she handled it like a trooper!
Plus you can hear him cut down the speed when he noticed she passed out
Passing out due to g’s is just like falling asleep and just waking up. It seems dramatic but you hardly notice. As for puking... Tom Cruise has puked several times so far in the back seat of an F-18 just like this flight. This reporter is an adrenaline junky and has done many crazy things as stories for her station. There are several postings of this flight on RUclips and they all have “pass out” and “vomit” in the title. This is so common even with military aviators in training. I think she is fantastic and should be very proud. That is probably the most fun you can have with your clothes on!
You said it!👍
she took the Gs like a champ... gj to her
Er she passed out and hurled, gotta make it seem like she did something amazing. Being 2019 and all pmsl.
Go white knights go!!!
@@urbanmidnight1 you seem like the biggest incel here
Computer Man yeah she did something pretty amazing bro it doesn’t matter how she reacted not a lot of people are able to say they flew 97% of the speed of sound and I don’t think you understand how strong a G is bro majority of all people would pass out on that flight
It's not uncommon for a human to pass out in those Gs. She was still ready for more right after. Id call that pretty good.
Hahahaha sounds like every college chicks favorite night, pass out and puke.. "but you had fun right" 😂😂
@Ren Zen Go for a walk.. you've been online far too long 😅

Wow Hannah, you deserve 2 thumbs up! I will probably never experience it but now I have an idea on how its like to be up there in a Hornet with a Blue Angel pilot. Thank you so much for sharing this video.
The vortices at 2:30 created cracks in the FA-18 tail. I briefly worked on an aspect of the project in the late 90s but never saw a video that so clearly showed the vortices...cool.
Also, 45 minutes is a long time to last doing that.
5:40 "Well,the rides over....and i need a breath mint!" 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂 And maybe check my underwear
I have more respect for these folks flying these things than you can believe.
It's incredible that these pilots can do this without passing out.
Centrifuge training
Pressure suits.
If you get airsick the solution is to learn to fly and buy a plane. Sorted out my airsickness now still flying my pilot wife who says flying is our amazing secret.

I’ll wager that no amusement park ride will ever impress this lady again. Well done. How was the inflight meal?
You did great, girl. Pulling those G's for the first time like that, anybody would have passed out and many would have puked. You did great. Lucky to have experienced that.
What a good sport she is. I love her courage. She was great!
Respect for her, she had the guts to get in. 👍💪
She did a great job keeping it together. Very humble about the whole thing. She has my respect. 👊 lol.
Pilot sounds like my dentist when he does filling lmao
Wouldnt want my dentist to tell me “left or right, your choice”
By saying “ we have fun, right?”?
I was ready to puke myself.
It's not like she could just say "STOP LET ME OUT".
Yeah right. There's an ejection seat for that 😁
Of course she wouldn’t. Because of the implication
To be a reporter showing a big vocabulary, plenty of "...o my gosh"!
Imagine trying to give a speech or not be shocked while you feel like you're going downhill on a rollercoaster 24/7 in a jet genius. Were you waiting for a life interview on the pilot? These test flights are known for knocking out normal everyday ppl who arent pilots trained to experience g force. You'd act 10x worse or be begging to take it easy, I know I would lmao
3:06 - When you realize your passenger in your aircraft has PTFO.
Her ears are popping and they’ve not even taxied onto the runway she must be so nervous lol.
This looks like hell hats off to her.
Because the cockpit was pressurizing.
Very brave. Most of us would never have the courage to do what you did. Well done

I've always had such admiration and respect for jet fighter pilots incredible individuals to be able to do this for a living I was in the Navy for four years and we had an opportunity to get to know them in the airwing assigned to our carrier I was serving on - some of the most awesome people you'll ever meet - very cool-headed easy-going individuals - easy going people who just do this for a living and I just have such major respect for them👍👍
I feel sick just watching this. Fascinating watching her pass out like a light switch got turned off.
This is the experience of a lifetime. Incredible!
She handled it well. You can tell by the end she was feeling bad
I like this lady’s attitude and her honesty in saying “I told you I’d pass out and puke”. Good job Hannah, hopefully you don’t have nightmares.
She's a trooper and the pilot is first class. Nice job!
I’m terrified of heights but I would hop
into that plane in a heartbeat. What an experience!
You just can't describe how violent aerobatics is on the body. You must experience it.
True story..
Great video.., Cool chick - took it all like a champion... Major respect to the MAD-DOG who pilots this wind-mill...... 👍
"I left again" lol. That was awesome
You are taking a civilian without isolated G training and without a G flight suit on a jet the same path as the pilot with a G suit and thousands of speed flying hours and then you comment why she blacks out ? She did amazing. 97 percent of all males without flight experience would do much worse The force the body feels compared to what you see is surreal.
How did the pilot comment on her passing out? He was extremely professional and very kind during the entire flight
The commenters not the pilot -
ACG Medical they do not wear g suits either, if you listen when they pull G’s, he is doing the hick maneuver it keeps them from passing out. Wearing a g suit would disrupt the precision flight maneuvers.
it's not a she vs he. probably 90% of guests pass out when subjected to 7+G load. I doubt there''s much of a gender difference in response to high G. And yea, it's rough.
thank you for your service Dennis
She had no idea what she was getting herself into 😂 would do everything to just have a minute on that aircraft
I am so jealous. Being a fighter pilot was always my dream, but i know i could never meet the requirements. This Pilot is a class act.
"alright i am up again" LOL

Cool watching those wings flex has the plane climbs at Mach 1
The best week of my life was when the angels were practicing while I was in A school to be a mechanic they were out for hours at a time and they did a low fly by while we were PTing
I would have puked long before Hannah... that's coming from a Ch-47 engine technician with a lot of airtime.
The cost of the fuel they burned is more than she makes in a month
Fighter pilots have the best job in the world.
@American Citizen what tf are you talking about
I flew in a F-16 after crewing the Jet for 4 years! 8.5 G’s
Nice! I used to be a fuel systems maintainer on F-16s and got a chance to fly on one at Red Flag - Alaska back in 2007. We maxed at 6.7 G’s, but only because we had full bags on.
You out G’ed the Reporter! Congratulations! 🎉🎊🍾
Okay RUclips. I watched it. Happy now ?
Dr. MG M oh you want 15 more aviation videos???
The lady is tougher than me, would've asked for leniency.
You're a pussy.

Outstanding effort Hannah very brave, well done. The pilot was a Class act !
Honestly, he gave her a pretty good workout. I was thoroughly nauseated in my first aerobatics lesson. I thought she did good. Beat Army!
“Ok, I’m back... I’m good.” 😂😂😂
Im curious - When you begin feeling sick, is the ride even enjoyable anymore or do you wish it was over? This would be a dream ride for a lot of people, but if in the first 15 minutes you want to puke, are you just hanging onto the next 30 wishing it would stop?
Yes, pretty much. The second you get motion sick, it’s over. You’re just counting the minutes. Most people are really sick for the next few hours.
In videos like this I always like that the reflection in the visor is so clear it's like a having a second camera angle.
Hannah, you did very well you hung tough with no screaming or crying. Everyone EVERYONE deposits a little bit of their last nights dinner on their first and often second guest Flight. You did a whole lot better than a lot of male. Good for you hannah, good for you. 👍👌💪
“That’s good enough for govt. work today”😂
Said it and heard it all of the time. It's kind of like " that's good enough for the girls I go out with. "
She’s got some balls because I know I’d NEVER be able to do this. I’m afraid of flying commercially. This made me so anxious it wasn’t even funny. Lol wow props to you Hannah! 😆
Amazing how calm pilots are when someone passes out
Why would he or she panic that would be foolish.
How badass are these pilots?! She’s blacking out and puking and he’s talking like he’s reading a bedtime story to a baby. Jus another stroll in the park for him.
If passing out, puking, and peeing myself were what was required to spend time in a F-18/F-16/F-15, sign me up. No hesitation.
THERE WAS ANOTHER REPORTER THAT TOOK A RIDE IN ONE OF THIS BLUE ANGELS AND THE RIDE WAS LONGER, BUT THE PILOT WOULD TELL HER AHEAD OF TIME THE MANEUVERS HE WAS GOING TO DO AND IF SHE WANTED TO GO THROUGH WITH THEM.
Amazing!!! Love the Blue Angels, use to go watch them fly back in the day in El Toro
"I told you I'd pass out and puke", "well did you have fun?" "Yeah" LMAO
Blessed her heart she tried n her reaction r priceless n wish I could do this n be. Pilot one day even at age 55
A guy I worked with years ago went up with his nephew. He lasted a few minutes before just puking all over the place.
He was so happy before and then it was like "I will never, ever do that again."
Every time she passes out I hear Quagmire saying "Aaaawll Riiight".
Maybe it's because she's from Cleveland.
Gigity
"I had the ride of my life, I'm speechless, and it never happened"... 🤔🤣
Legend says she is still yelling Oh my gosh.
Hanna did magnificently! Was a media personality and did a ride in a Phantom. What a thrill! I almost lost my lunch but didn't. It was a bumpy ride back then. Like a damned roller coaster.
“Alright I left again” Hannah went to another dimension after 7gs
Just by watching the video made me sooo dizzy, I don't know how she did it, ,BRAVE lady!! I must say !. I love BLUE ANGELS soo much ! :-)
She passed out because she didn't learn about Hick maneuver to avoid G-Lock. It was totally normal that she lost her lunch, even some pilot training students feel nauseous at the first few times flying.
She likely would of passed out regardless
I like how the pilot just enjoying the flight
That buzzing noise is a great addition to the video
Awesome, The pilots voice is so soothing! The blue angels are incredible! I love what you do! Skills above the rest. God bless all of u! 💋🤩❤️😇
After noticing she had indeed lost consciousness, did the pilot purposely put the fighter into a short dive to reverse the affects of her blackout?
I think she forgot to focus on her breathing, anyways she's incredibly lucky!
you haven't even moved from the ramp and your ears are popping? you do realize that cabin is unpressurized until 8000 feet. so you wouldn't even feel any diferential pressure until you started climbing up to 8000.
Anybody know why Andre doesn’t fly anymore?? I loved him, he was so kind and always nice to fans, his narration was great and every video I’ve seen of him in air he was wonderful. Always smiling, friendly, professional.
I have a million scenarios running through my head about what went down, but all I can do is hope it somehow boiled down to his choice... can’t imagine why he’d choose to leave, but I sure do hope :(
He had family or personal issues it was one of the two.
R W well I figured that much, I was just hoping that they left him choose to decide instead of quietly taking him out over something. He doesn’t ever even talk about it anymore.
