Also MADtv. If MADtv is supposed to be better than SNL, why'd they get rid of cast members that had potential. Though I do like that they kept Keegan Michael Key and Jordan Peele until the end of the series.

Taran is one of my all time favorites. I’m still upset they fired him for no good reason. How do you do one of your best players dirty like that?
Jackie Meanwhile Kenan Thompson, who always does the same bland, boring characters & terrible impressions, is about to start his 17th season on SNL. He actually said this in a recent interview:
“That’s the forever plan,” Thompson says. “To never have to leave that show.”
Most cast members can’t wait to make movies & then gracefully leave. But Kenan knows that’s not gonna happen so they’ll probably have to drag him out of there.
KoolCat ! I actually like Keenan. I think he’s pretty versatile, but I agree with you about the whole 17 seasons thing. Taran was upset when he was fired and didn’t know why he got fired. Lorne Michaels said it was because he’d been there for 6 seasons and after that it’s time for a change. They like to switch up the cast, but then he keeps Keenan for 17 seasons and Darrel Hammond was on there for like 14 seasons.

This era was the best. Taran Killam, Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Vanessa Bayer, Jason Sudeikis, Andy Samberg, Bill Hader, Fred Armisen, Will Forte. SNL has never recovered from losing these legends.

Miss Taran Killam. One of the best SNL cast members. Now I watch him On Single Parents but a show like this really showed his talent. A Jim Carrey of sorts.
