This is by a country mile the best Matthew impression. Taran Killam is brilliant, talented and has a very broad range of skills. I wish him the best in his career.
Jason Marsden,the guy from Death at a Funeral, can do a great one with a little southern whistle in the impersonation.

@@mmmm-co4dc what I've gathered from articles is it's more like he was going to direct the movie but he didn't want to stop being on snl, but lorne didn't offer to let him renew his contract.
He was actually fired and was not asked to come back for the following season. That's why Jay Pharoah left, because him and Taran were friends and he felt like they screwed him over...

When I heard McConaughey’s Academy Award win, it REALLY, REALLY was the most bizarre speech ever. His inspiration? Himself. His mentor? Himself. And he’s only going to get better! I thought I had an acid flash from the 1960s!
People dont seem to realize that looks have no say in how good an impression is. Taran killiam doesnt look like matthew macconaghey but he acts like matthew macconaghey.

He has such natural charisma as a performer. So disappointed when they let him go. He was really versatile and could have been among the best cast members ever.
